Description

Specialties

Whether it may be Breakfast, Lunch or Dinner — Holders Country Inn in San Jose has the grub you need to get through the day. We have been a favorite destination for diners in the South Bay since 1967. Two words that best describe the meal you’ll have here are fresh and homemade. These two elements are a family tradition at Holders Country Inn and go into everything we make, from the kitchen to your table. We’re a family friendly diner that takes pride in the food we prepare, and we’re always excited to meet someone new.

Our kitchen specializes in classic American hot and hearty dishes all day long. Come on down, and try out our Omelette Soufflés, Scrambles, or Benedicts for breakfast. For lunch you might be interested in one of our mouth-watering burgers, sandwiches or salads. Some of our dinner entrees include New York Steak, Chicken Fried Steak, and Garlic Chicken Alfredo. We also have a full kids menu. And don’t forget that our deserts would go great with a cup of coffee! Whatever it may be, you’re bound to go home satisfied when you grab your next meal from Holders Country Inn.

History

Established in 1967.

Holder’s Country Inn has been a favorite destination for diners throughout the South Bay Area since 1967. Holder’s Country Inn is open all day for breakfast, lunch and dinner. In 1957, Jack and Anne Holder sold their Dairy Queen business in Roseburg, Oregon and moved their family to the «Valley of Hearts Delight» and opened Uncle John’s Pancake House in Santa Clara. Jack and Anne’s pancakes and waffle recipes made Uncle John’s one of the most popular coffee shops in the Bay Area.

In 1967, Jack and Anne’s success continued when they opened the original «Holder’s Country Inn» in the old Town & Country Village in San Jose, where it flourished for 32 years. The original Country Inn relocated to De Ana Boulevard in 1999. The Holder’s at El Paseo opened in 1981 and relocated to Saratoga Avenue in ’95.

Our mission has always been quality food and service for every customer. With more than 40 years of success, we’re looking forward to you having your next bite to eat at Holder’s Country Inn
