Haute Tan Airbrush Tanning

I’ve been coming to see Julie for almost two years now whenever I need a beautiful, natural sunkissed glow, and she delivers it exceptionally every time! I recently tried the Express tan for an upcoming event, and she recommended I leave it on for 2.5 hrs before showering. It turned out so beautiful and natural; not too dark or harsh and that timing was perfect on my fair skin. I got so many compliments that night! Go to Julie; you’ll leave feeling beautiful :)

Got my third custom airbrush tan by Julie yesterday and man do I look good. Her space is nice and clean, and she is fast and efficient. I am very pale and self conscious about looking fake or orange but she mixes the perfect color for me every time and I get so many compliments! I have sent all my friend to her too and they are all thrilled with her work too! I always say, if you can’t tone it, tan it and haute tan is the place to visit if you can’t get into the gym before the summer! I’ll be back soon.

Not sure if I didn’t do after care properly but my tan turned awful. Looked like it was cracking on my arms and legs for 3 weeks! I didn’t lotion before but I used lotion after and didn’t shower for 7 hours (as they recommended)

I came here after months of getting terrible spray tans. I was determined to find a place that did amazing airbrushes and I’m so glad I found Haute Tan! My new go to. Love the 2 ladies that work there (so nice) and the tans are long lasting and BOMB. Even my boyfriend says so; he used to make fun of my old tans and basically was the reason I looked for a better place lol.

This is the only tanning salon I will go to. I tried a few others around the San Jose area when I moved here about 5 yrs ago. Thank goodness I found Julie! I almost gave up hope. I’ve been getting my spray tan with her only for years now. I spend half of my time in the Century City/​Beverly Hills area and the other half in Morgan Hill. So I make the drive to Julie whenever I’m here. She always gives me that golden glow I love. I do a double spray and sometimes will get the express 2hr which helps on super busy days. Not only is Julie super sweet and friendly but I always get compliments on my great skin. She has all the products you need in order to take care of your skin/​tan as well. I workout everyday and do a few hot Pilates classes/​yoga also so the body wash and lotion help my tan last longer.
Haute Tan is the only spray tanning salon I trust so I make sure to get in when I’m here in San Jose or will set an appointment in advance

Long overdue update! I wrote my first review for haute tan after only a couple appts and probably should’ve waited to experience it a bit more. As any business in start up mode, they had a couple growing pains but nothing major and the tan has always been on point. I see both Julie and Heather now on a regular basis and slowly gotten to know them both over the last year, I have to say these girls are no BS, professional and are super accommodating any other time I’ve asked for an appt change! Julie, you’re doing such a great job growing your biz and I literally get sooooo many compliments on my tan! Glad I’ve seen the light ;)

I have been going to Julie consistently for a little over 2 years now. Since the first time I went into her establishment she has always been incredibly professional and service oriented. She is discreet and approachable and I always feel great when I walk out. Every tan has been even and glowing. I get compliments ALL the time. People always ask me where I got my tan from. I can easily get away with telling people I «spent time in the sun over the weekend.» Ha! Yeah, in Julie’s spray salon! It’s easy to make an appointment and I can always get in. If ever I am feeling a little down on myself I just pop into Julie’s salon for a quick tan and always walk out feeling better. I recommend her services to my friends all the time. For anyone who wants to look instantly good in a pair of shorts or a sun dress, I recommend giving Julie a call today!

Julie is awesome! First timer here and she could not have been more professional! I am super pale and now I look gorgeous. She tells you everything you need to do after the airbrush session and just makes it so easy! I bought a package and can’t wait to look great all summer long. I wish I’d done this sooner. Wow, Jessica M. Yes… Beverly Hills is the place to be with your upturned nose, snotty judge mental comments about a professional, non-​racist, business owner. Shame on you. Julie Flores has wonderful customer service. So much so that she just expanded her business, to better serve her customers, by breaking down walls (umm, dust?).
Oh, there are mannequins AND dummies… NOT MANNEQUIN DUMMIES. Dummy.

Currently in town visiting San Jose for a few days. I decided to google search air brush tanning salons and selected «Haute Tan Air Brush Tanning» based off the reviews. First off it’s hard to locate from the street because it’s tucked back in a small building. Arrived in time today for my 12:15pm appointment. Walked in and noticed how vacant and crappy the inside looked. Cheaply decorated and plastic mannequin dummies leaning against the wall. Dusty floors, no flowers, no plants, no decorations/​designs of any kind. But, decided to give it a try anyways. The owner, Julie Flores immediately sized me up and down. She’s Spanish and clearly hates beautiful white girls. Very Obvious. It’s not the first time it’s happened. Made me wait while she took in another client. Discussed with her the details of my air brush and how I wanted it done. Stepped into the room and she started spraying me. Her attention to detail lacks thereof, she rushed, and as I tried to talk with her and address how I wanted the spray tan applied, she gave me an attitude, was EXTREMELY rude and pissy at me. She said «you’re being very snappy Miss» and I said «actually no, I’m explaining how I want the spray tan done.» So she then proceeds to be even more rude and says that she never does this any layers, and I know what I’m doing and have down air brush tanning for 6 years. She says I’ve already done 3 layers, I said «good do 4.» I explained how I my salon in LA and multiple salons all over major cities apply the spray solution on. She stopped the machine and said «do you want me to continue?» I said «of course you can’t leave me with half a sprayed body!» The spray came out uneven, blotched and she did not do a thorough job at all. Her attitude and bitchiness was completely out of line. Met her at the makeshift front desk to pay. She pulls out her cracked broken IPhone to use «square»
For my payment. I couldn’t even see the screen I was signing for payment. For $ 49, a complete rip off. The most unprofessional salon I’ve ever been to, with a horribly rude owner. AVOID this place at all cost!!!

Today was definitely not my first appointment at Haute Tan. I am a recurring client of Julie’s (5 years), she has always been great in getting back to me regarding my appointment requests, not to mention the super easy booking… I was shocked to see the previous review (that I found racist, and incredibly untrue). This place has never been hard to find for me ever since my first appointment, even if so that’s what GPS is for obviously. The place looks very nice, and very classy like it always has. It is obvious that a lot of work and effort went into this place. Julie is a more than beautiful «spanish» woman and has no need to hate on so called «beautiful white women» and would for sure have no reason to «size up and down» any other woman, I’ve never heard something so conceited, judgemental, and absolutely ridiculous. Speaking from my numerous personal experiences with Julie, her service has ALWAYS been very excellent!!!
Another note about the «square reader», being that I also work in a small independently owned business, from my own personal experience, business owners VERY often use the credit card reader.
Julie is very professional and very sweet! I’ve never had attitude issues with her, also referring to the insane previous review. I would HIGHLY recommend Haute Tan! :)

When you’re pale and the sun doesn’t like you, spray tans are you’re best friends. I’ve been to Haute Tanning multiple times, and each time is great. Quick and great service. For me, with upkeep I can keep my tan for a little over a week, and once it starts to fade away in noticable areas, I begin to exfoliate more to help get rid of it. I do find that I like my tans better when they’re done by Julie, however, the other girls are great, I just think I feel most comfortable with Julie.
There are packages that are available also, which makes coming in for the tans a lot easier. I have a 3 pack, so I paid for 3 and the tans come out to be a little cheaper which is a plus!
Parking here is fine for me, there is always a spot in the back lot, and it’s in a great area, so on my most recent trip I was able to pick up dinner for myself right after.

Who ever said diamonds are a girls best friend has obviously never gotten an airbrush tan done by Julie or her incredible staff. I walk out of this place every single time feeling like a million bucks.
Julie, the owner, is absolutely awesome! She is efficient in responding to my appointment requests and always manages to find a way to accommodate me. They have two different tanning options: a ²⁄₃ hour spray solution or a 6 hour spray solution. I have never walked out of here streaky or orange which is extremely important… no one wants to look like an oompa loompa at Encore Beach Club.

Everytime I come here I get told I look so rested and healthy (what must I look like normally huh). The owner is super professional and does a fabulous job. She always makes me feel comfortable as I stand there mostly nude.

Julie is a must for your spray tan. She does a amazing job ! I leave feeling great every single time. I would advise you to buy her products as well– it really helps the tan last.

Wish I could write a review for this place but I literally have tried every avenue to get these people to call, email or text me back and have heard nothing. I love supporting local businesses, contacted them in excess of 2 weeks before my event and have received no communication back. Their website makes is seem so easy to set up an appointment. Bummer that they had such great reviews and haven’t had the courtesy so return my inquiries, I don’t know how people stay in business this way!

I’ve been coming to Haute Tanning for about a year now — every week. I love it! Julie is a great sprayer and very flexible with booking. My tan always turns out perfect!!! Would recommend to anyone.

This is my first time getting a spray tan I was nervous at first we searching and Unilocaling who had good reviews and what not. My experience coming here was absolutely positive yes I had to go bear but that was for the best results and I love the customer service Julie offered if she made me feel comfortable and nothing was awkward. My town wasn’t too dark and it was all around even I got the shimmer tan which only lasted a day but I love the bronzy color it gave me! Julie was super nice and was very detailed with work. She also had moisturizing products such as lotion body wash that gave aftercare to your tan so you would take care of it.
Highly recommend anyone that has an event or a future vacation and need a quick tan you should go here!

There is nothing better than having a natural, healthy glow and Julie is the best.
If you buy a package, it’s not that expensive and worth every penny.
Julie is easy to reach and very accommodating with appointments.
I have been coming here for several months now and it’s part of weekly routine that makes me feel beautiful and I’m no longer uncomfortable wearing sleeveless shirts or short skirts. :-)

I was referred to Julie at Haute Tanning who took me as a last minute walk in! Julie who is the owner was so sweet and her service was great! I left with a perfect sun kissed even glow! I actually prefer to be darker however no complaints! Thank you Julie!
