We offer several services: knife sharpening, chain cutting, electrical wire cutting, re-​keying, key cutting, glass and plexiglass cutting, paint matching, and CFL and battery recycling.

Hassett Hardware in Willow Glen opened its doors in 2009 after major renovations to the existing space. It is now one of the larger ACE hardware stores in the Bay Area.

When this hardware store moved into the neighborhood (I live right around the corner from it) I thought I would never go to it. Too small. Too expensive. etc because it wasn’t one of the big warehouse stores — I was wrong.
This has become my go to place for everything hardware. Their clerks are young and energetic and very knowledgeable. Always willing to walk right to the location of the item I am looking for. They have provided excellent insights on what I actually need to get whatever I need done. I love that they recycle batteries and florescent light bulbs.
The parking is small, but I always get a spot. I get into the store and out quickly and don’t have a huge store to roam about it and get lost. The only time I remember that they didn’t have what I wanted was when we need a new key ring for my wife. They had some very functional key rings but nothing «nice».

Jose at Ace Hardware once again helped me to accomplish a home repair job that I would not have been able to do without sound advice like his. I am fairly mechanically inclined, but some jobs are beyond me (like pluming for example). I was so grateful for his help that I found another $ 50.00 worth of merchandise that I needed, and may have otherwise bought at one of those big box stores. I will continue to patronize this store when ever possible and avoid the big box temptation.

I did not make a purchase at this location. Just stopped here 10 minutes before closing to drop off a fluorescent tube bulb for recycling after being turned away from Home Depot up the road. It’s a shame that Home Depot at the Curtner location doesn’t accept it.
The employee was at the front of the store quickly pointed me to the bin to put it in, so I can be on my way.
Parking lot is kind of dark at night. Doesn’t look too safe. Would recommend installing a couple LED’s out there.

Been coming to this location since it opened as Willow Glen Ace hardware. This place was great then. They were courteous and knowledgeable and was able to help you with most home owner situations. They are pet friendly and had popcorn. After being absent from this location I went into the store and was taken away. All the older personnel were gone and replaced by a much younger presence. Never received any greeting like I used to. Instead they were all talking. I was in the store looking for a few items which I never could find or it was so over priced I went somewhere else. Almost a half hour and no one came to ask me if I needed help. In my opinion this store has gone downhill. I noticed a name change maybe it has new management. I remember one bigger guy that worked there and had a white dog that always greeted us. Also another older gentleman named Joe. Those were the good days when you received customer service and fixes for you home projects. I prefer Orchard Supply where I stumbled on a former employee that worked at that location.

I am a huge supporter of the local high school and love that this store hires local students. However, in the past some of these kids that I know personally were less than professional. That was over a year ago and I finally went in again a few weeks ago and was greeted by a former student that made me proud. He was running the cash register and greeted me using my name, asked me how he could help, and called someone to help me. I quickly got the silicone calking I needed and on the way out, Alex told me if I needed any help at all or had any questions just to call. I don’t mind paying a little more for customer service and a chance to see how great one of my students turned out! I’m never returning to Home Depot again.

I recently had some problem with my sink and I discovered that the issue is with the tube’s ring. Since I’m not very handy and I have no idea what the thing is called, I came here hoping someone to help me locate the part. And I didn’t disappoint, their staff is friendly and located the exact part I was looking for in matter of minutes.
Highly recommended if you aren’t handy like me, and don’t exactly know what you are looking.

The key department is not good. They told me that they can cut the Lexus key. Came there and patiently wait for almost 2 hours go back and forth to try the key after the cut. It didn’t work, it just a waste of time.

I don’t know why I never shopped at this place before, but not anymore! I always go to lowes or homedepot but each time they just disappointing me. Today as usual I went to homedepot to buy some paint, but they don’t carry this product. So I Unilocal it n found out ACE has it and I decided to give it a try. Yesena, the lady works at paint department, was so helpful! She found the color I wanted and also spent time to explain the differences. This is what the real customer service is! ACE is for sure my go to place for my house. Adiós lowes n homedepot!

It’s a smaller hardware store that I would never have stumbled upon if it wasn’t for work. I had an air mattress for a patient to setup in the home, but they only had 2-​prong electrical outlets in the home while my mattress had a 3-​prong. Oh the dilemma!
Thanks to my Unilocal app, I found ACE just a mile away! Parking was easy & I was instantly greeted & asked if I needed assistance. An older gentleman assisted me in finding an adapter & he was quite the funny guy. I was quickly assisted through checkout as well.
A small place, but the customer service is definitely there! I would definitely purchase here again :)

I went to the Ace Hardware store on Curtner and Lincoln Ave. I needed to find some way to repair my Dremel drills. I was asked if I needed help and I was referred to a employee named Jimmy. I told him about my problem and he had a similar problem with his own drill. He asked if he could take the drill to the back so he could fix it for me. My Dremel now is restored and works great. He also directed me to the other items that I needed to purchase. I found this store to be very helpful and the employees to be very knowledgeable about their products.

I’m always greeted with a warm welcoming when I enter the store. Just recently I was there to get some Benjamin Moore paint samples. It was late on a Friday evening and I was stressed over getting the right color for our new kitchen. Corey was so patient and kind, humored me throughout the process of getting 10 samples (of what seemed to be the same blue/​gray shade) mixed. The discount didn’t hurt either! I just want to say thanks to this wonderful business in our Willow Glen community. The staff are always friendly and helpful, they allow our council to sell girlscout cookies, and donate to the local schools. Today my 4 yo son was so excited to bring in a coupon for 2 free keys, he loves keys. Corey escorted him to the back like he was a VIP at Neiman Marcus to help him make his choice. It was so kind and thoughtful. I just really appreciate the kind gesture as it made his day and he was so proud. Thank you!

Great place when you are in a pinch looking for some hardware stuff. The staff is friendly and they have a pretty good selection based on the size of the building. However, the prices are a bit on the steep side but you pay for the service and don’t have to deal with the home depot staff.

I usually never write a review unless it’s outstanding service. Last week I had my duct work cleaned and it cost me over $ 500. But I needed a filter which he didn’t supply. That pissed me off. I went to ACE with measurements in hand and could not find it. I stopped an employee to ask for his assistance. He was more than happy to help me, but again we could not find 20 by 24 air filter… The employee called from what I gathered the supervisor for that area, so I had 2 employees looking for that size because the inventory said they have it. After a while I said thanks for your help but is there another ACE in the area? As I was feet from my car I hear a… «sir!!! I found it!!!» as I turned he didn’t have just one he had the whole case of filters!!!
the filter cost me $ 5! but the customer service was 5 star! you won’t get that at Home Depot

This place has great customer service! We go here when we want personal attention from the staff and need questions answered. You just can’t get that same type of service at a huge Lowes or Home Depot.
We were asked several times, by different employees, how we were doing and if we needed anything. We had lots of questions and got them all answered. Some of the tools i was interested in didn’t seem to have instructions but luckily i got a good explanation of how to use it.
I gladly return here for my home improvement needs!
