H&R Block

I am so disappointed with how I was treated by the female associates at this location. I had previously come in last year in February but opted for Turbo Tax as I had not worked longer than a few months. I felt that H&R may be able to help me more this year so I decided to come in and boy do I regret coming to this one!
When I came in last year, I was signed in by the secretary and provided with initial forms for a quote. I was then welcomed into a cubicle where my information was input and I was provided a quote. So I felt that I was prepared this time around.
Parking is tough. They are located on Bascom right next to McDonalds and on a busy street. They are next to Subway and there are 3 parking spots right out front. I do not recommend these. It’s too hard getting back out onto the street. Drive down the path to the parking in the back instead.
I came in and wasn’t greeted so I just kinda stood in front of the front desk while the secretary and two other ladies stared at me. The secretary kept staring at my face then slowly move down and get stuck staring at my boobs! I greet them and say that I came in for a quote. Just like I had previously. I was asked what kind of quote so I say tax. One of the ladies who was standing asked if I had my standard W-​2 forms. I respond that I did and brought my 1098-​E forms as well (student loan interest document). She then rudely asks,” What are those?” I let her question sink in and she blubbers out «Oh student loans… Its going to be $ 160.00.»
I spent less than 5 minutes in this place and had never felt so terribly treated. Bullies never out grow high school ladies. Be careful out there

This was my first time going through H&R block (office.) I usually go through TurboTax but because I have to pay this year I thought maybe they would be able to save me some money.
I had Patricia, she was kinda, smart and very knowledgable about taxes. She gave me some good input for the following year and a great price for my taxes. Although slightly more than what I usually pay at TurboTax by about ($ 5-​$ 10) I left with piece of mind that my taxes were done right.
I was unable to find many more deductions but she did quote me something cheaper than TurboTax.
If you have a simple 1040EZ, do it yourself. Once it becomes a little more complicated than that, it’s better to let professionals take over.
Patricia, has been there and continues to be there when ever I have tax related issues.

Horrible Experience. First time I came in to do my taxes and first off the man who helped me mumbled A LOT. It was difficult to understand him, and I did not feel that he was competent at his job. He clearly was fuzzing around through some of the screens. I was charged more than $ 100 for something I could have just done myself online. SAVE YOURSELF THE MONEY AND DO IT ONLINE OR GO SOMEPLACE ELSE!
