H&R Block

First, as a victim of identity theft I am very please to see a large company such as H&R Block taking action and creating useful services to help people recover from the violation which is identity theft. Second, I have Life Lock and now I have Tax Identity Shield.
As for everything else, been to many H&R Block offices, and this office is as good as it gets. Great client service from top to bottom. Einstein was my Tax Preparer and he was knowledgeable and sensitive to my needs. I could see everyone else there getting their taxes done seemed to be either having fun or pleased with the service. The Manager even came by and said hello and offered me water, and the lady that processed my payment, Tamara I think, was personable and friendly. Top to Bottom, top-​notch. I will be going back and sending some co-​works, friends, and family. Thank you guys!

I filed my YR2005 Tax Return with them via my friend’s recommendation on 04÷15÷06 — — -Last Year.
Before: they were patient, they were nice when I first walked in.
Process: Some clerks were not knowledgeable enough at all. It’s a RIPPED-​OFF, I paid nearly $ 300 for their service.
After: I found out IRS didn’t have the record of my YR2005’s filing 2 weeks ago.
My tax is as simple as it could be already – one CA job, one bank account, one stock purchase only, no house, no other investment or debt. My friend got an out-​state job/​out-​state house and in-​state job and all the complications. She only paid $ 150.
Nobody followed-​through when IRS rejected their electronic filing for me. The file was sitting there till I walked in to question them about «WHY». Lucky me, I still kept my original receipt of paying their service and I have the bank statement of paying IRS the debt already.
The reason I still give them a 2 is that the office manager is trying to resolve their mistakes now. I will update later once it’s been done.
UPDATE on 04÷15÷07 Perhaps I was too nice to them and just wanted to get this done and get over with. Even the manager promised me the times to call, always a delay for ½ day or more than one day due to some «technical issues» for my paper works. He could have had a courtesy call to let me the reasons. Instead, the case has been dragging on and on. Perhaps I have paid in FULL a year ago, I am not the priority any more. Perhaps… Perhaps…Blah…I am tired of finding excuses for them.

This is the 2^nd year we had our tax prepared in this co. with the same person. I used to do our tax by buying the turbo tax software. But our tax got a lil complicated, so we decided to go to this place. We glad we did. Very organized and have a lot of patience (i think her name is Jeanie) coz for some reason, i tend to miss/​forgets something that i have to go back home (2mins away) she’s knowlegeable of her work and very friendly.
They also have this warranty they offer, just in case IRS decides to recheck your income again… H&R Block will do it for you… \
ahhh … Peace of mind
