My husband and I came to do our taxes and we had a great experience. Marilyn was the person who helped us. She was very nice and patient, she was able to get a little bit more of the refund and less tax payment. Bring your receipt of your last tax return, so you just pay $ 75 for their expertise.

let see overcharging for your services, then not explaining anything till after the fact, and checking thing off and not explaining why you checked it off and than after words telling me after i’m done that I DIDN“T have to file taxes WTF??? Only to get a small return REALLY??? Dont go to them they are evil and rip you off…$ 300.00 service fee???

Very, UNHAPPY with the service I got from his Establishment. I had to help the representative out with where to fill in things. she barley understood english and was very abrasive. I was trying to be patient but the whole process made me very uncomfortable. I spoke to the manager Diane to tell her I felt very uneasy having someone help me that I’m having to show her how to fill out paperwork and that she was entering everything on the computer with one finger. The manager said yes she is a little ruff around the edges and that she was fairly new. I couldn’t believe this as they charge $ 168 for their services and I was being helped by someone that really doesn’t even understand english! I will not be using their services ever again and I won’t recommend them to anyone!!! HORRIBLE SERVICE!

Peace of Mind? Ya Right! They just want to steal your money. Submitted a claim within 60 days like the requirements state, but they still denied the claim. The Rep who did my taxes simply forgot to add in the form, and now I’m paying the price.

I got helped by Sue for a couple years. I personally didn’t have any problem with her like another reviewer said. I think it’s really frustrating when clients don’t understand what is needed to do your job, and you end up guessing on stuff, so I can see why they might get visibly frustrated when dealing with a clueless person. Though, I guess that’s why most of us go to a tax company. Even with Sue’s help, I still don’t understand why I should list myself as single when I am married. Ugh, I hate taxes.

After useless attempts on requesting copies of my tax returns by the company’s customer service reps, I contacted this office and spoke with Diane Siegel. She was very patient and professional. She took the time to listen to my requests and I made an appt to see her a couple of days later. When I met her for our appt, she had all of my paperwork ready. Great service and knowledgable.

My Tax advisor and preparer is Suzanne Zazzi.
I originally had the pleasure of having Suzanne start doing are taxes in 2003. After I started being self employed. Suzanne did inthe beginning overwhelmed me and I was in tears not because of her but because I wasnt prepared to do my taxes as I originally thought I was.
Suzanne turned my tax situation that year from oweing $ 900 to getting $ 1300 tax refund. Her services have been a god sent. and I return to her yearly.
I recommend everyone to H & R block & especially to Suzannne

Suzanne helped me today, I came in with the mind set I would review her on Unilocal and be very critical about it might I say.
Let me tell you RIGHT NOW… I didn’t really like her personality or attitude. I tried my hardest to be as nice as possible but I still felt uncomfortable. I do not know if she was indirectly trying to take abs at me because I could not answer all her questionsbut I found it nonhumorous or amusing. I mean don’t get me wrong, I’m an easy going go but seriously… she was was sub-​par when it came to friendliness and hey if your sitting down chopping it up. You should atleast «appear» to be happy?
She was semi-​professional. I didn’t feel as comfortable as I thought I could have been and she asked me to answer questions and went off on certain things that made absolutely little to no sense. When I wanted her opinion on a tax credit and she said some random stuff like «I’m not part of that committee in the white house so I could not answer your question.» Excuse me… I asked for your OPINION.
I mean come on lady… I’m still pretty irritated with the transaction.
Bottom line, the host was nice, even the lady that took my payment was excellent .The service was top notch, I just did not feel this is someone I could go back to next year and say I really enjoyed her expertise or her «witty» responses.
Look I work in customer service, and if I did that to my clients… they would think I am taking a stabbing at them. Seriously!
3 stars is fair, the establishment was easy to find and the rate was OK. I would not go back to that specific specialist again but maybe the same branch.
Also I’d like to note, why are certain branches offering certain promotions and others are NOT? I mean I was at an H&R block yesterday and I could have sworn the rate was MUCH MUCH lower considering the competition.

for the past 2 years i have been going here to get my taxes done with Sophie. she is such a sweetheart & i really appreciate the time she takes with me to make sure i am as correct as possible (due to being a independent contractor), while making sure i am as detailed as possible since im a ambitious young worker :). she knows it is important for me to be able to save money in the long run! last year i booked my appt for the «now» 2009 taxes… so it was great to see her again & get it all out of the way soon!

This year I had to see a new tax advisor because the lady I usually go to at the H&R Block in Sunnyvale is out for the season. This led me to having Rick Shuart, of the H&R Block — El Paseo de Saratoga location, helping me this year.
I found out from the lady that helped me with my appointment, Diane, that Rick & Mary (my regular tax advisor) worked together many years. That made me feel better about seeing him. I trust Mary & was hesitant to see anyone else so this definitely put me at ease.
Rick was very friendly & very helpful while doing my taxes. He explained things thoroughly & was a pleasure to chat with. If Mary decided not to return next year, I’d gladly see Rick :-).
