a gem of a gallery in the heart of the rose garden/​downtown san jose area.
i came across Gregory Kate Gallery by stopping to view the lofts with a friend. besides the fantastic collection of paintings, sculptures and glass, i was taken by the environment.
imagine this; a street front loft on a busy historical street called the alameda, in a historical area that just so happens to be unique in it’s own right but get this, has a gallery in the owner’s living room…
aaah, fantastic! so european, so avant-​garde for the area yet catching a movement i see happening – up-​and-​coming. geared towards urban living that meets the creative needs of all.
when you pop-​in, enjoy the eye candy before you. soon you will be chatting away with chris (the owner) and thinking how on earth you can manage to do what he has done…
