I really wanted to like this place… We tried their com thang service for 3 weeks & discovered a cockroach in one of the items. We immediately called & cancelled! Def not sanitary!!!

This place started out great but the quality and service goes down. I’ve subscribed to this service for almost a year now and the quality was good and bad. When you first get com thang, this restaurant cooks well but after awhile the they start to repeat dishes and give you the cheap ones. On some days i get eggs and chinese sausage. If i wanted to have an omelet, i would cook it myself and not for 9 bucks. When i gave my notice i was leaving, the food quality went up. It’s sad that this is how they treat their loyal customers. Here’s a kicker… After they raise their rates by 1.00 per day at 9.50 per day, the quality got worse. Btw Fridays suck! They always serve noodle soup dishes that are vaguely familiar from thr week before but a tad different. Be forewarned, I found hair in my food twice this week. I wonder if the business changed hands.

I eat from here several times a week and the food is always delicious. As others have said, it offers affordable and truly authentic Vietnamese food, and there is always something special on Friday!

My wife and order this style of food 3 times a week and boy is it a timesaver! If you really like authentic vietnamese food that’s quick, cheap, and easy to eat — then you should check this place out. Personally — I don’t really like fish but the owner was kind enough to swap out the fish to another meat dish which was awesome! This place closes around 6 so if you work late — you can pick up the food next door at the video store which made it convenient for my wife and I because we generally work late. On fridays — there’s always something special such as phở, bun bo hue, bun rieu, vermicelli & egg rolls, etc! My wife and I always look forward to Fridays because you never know what you can get but rest assured — it was the bomb! What’s clever about this restaurant is all the food you get for such a pretty good price. My wife and I ordered 2 and a half orders so we can have some for lunch the next day as well. All you really have to do is cook rice, heat up the food, and then enjoy! This idea really helps you save time versus spending that whole hour preparing the food and then another 30 minutes cleaning up! If you like good, wholesome, authentic vietnamese food — check this place out. The owner is pretty cool about you ordering once, twice, three times or even 5 times a week! so it’s really up to you.

I think this is one of San Jose’s best-kept secrets. A pretty unique concept, this is a Vietnamese daily catering service — basically, you can have a home-cooked meal delivered to your house for $ 9 or you can pick up from their shop for $ 8. Each order has one stir fry, meat dish, and soup, and can feed 2 people easily and the menu changes everyday. My wife and I order from this place 3 days a week, it’s super convenient for us since we work full time, and the food is delicious. The choices are healthy, and on Fridays they make a «fun» dish like Phở or Bun Bo Hue(spicy beef noodle).

I order dinner from this place 3 – 4 nights a week. It’s a Vietnamese service called«com thang.» For $ 7.50 for 1 serving that serves two people, you get a soup dish, a meat dish and a vegetable dish. Every Friday, they serve more popular Vietnamese dishes like«Bun Thit Nuong» or «Phở» or «Bun Rieu» for $ 7.50(which serves 2 people)! The food is pretty good – it reminds me very much of my mom’s cooking. And at $ 7.50 a night, it’s way cheaper than buying groceries and cooking for two every night. The dishes are always different from week to week, and there haven’t been too many rotations for me. In my neighborhood, 4 of us(four households, 8 ppl) order from here at least 3 nights a week! I’d definitely recommend it for young professionals who just don’t have time to cook(or who can’t cook, like me) because it’s definitely yummy and cost effective! However, if you aren’t a fan of Vietnamese food, this probably won’t be for you. Oh – if you pay $ 8.50 a pop, they’ll deliver it to your home!
