Specialties
We specialize in a holistic hands-on manual therapy approach that searches for and treats the SOURCE of problems, rather than just the symptoms. Sessions are one-on-one with Susan Glenfield PT in a private, comfortable setting. Susan has a special interest and place in her heart for treating infants and children, but is well seasoned in most other sports/injury, post-surgical or even chronic problems for people of all ages. The most common infant problems that she can help alleviate is colick/irritable behavior, ear infections, torticollis, scoliosis, constipation and abnormal shaping of the head. Additional children’s as well as adult issues include headaches, spinal pain, concussions, sinus infections, and sports injuries, as well as post-surgical scarring and adhesion release.

History
Established in 1990.
With 37+ years experience, Susan’s passion is to offer the community an alternative to traditional physical therapy. After working 16 years as a traditional physical therapist, she then spent 10+ years studying under many different osteopathic physicians, and has taught these approaches to physical therapists across the country. What Susan loves most about her approach to therapy is how effective it is yet how gentle and subtle. In fact, a large percentage of her clients fall asleep during treatment!

Meet Husband-and-Wife Team Susan and Frank
Susan has an undergraduate degree in Physical Therapy from Northeastern University in Boston and an MBA from Golden Gate University in San Francisco. Her passion throughout her career has been in ‘manual medicine,’ or treating patients only with her hands, not machines. As such, Susan has developed an osteopathic-based approach, which she combines with physical therapy techniques. She particularly loves treating infants and children, as she finds early intervention can often prevent, or at least alleviate, a variety of problems before they interfere with growth and development. She loves helping children get off to a good start in life.
Susan’s husband, Frank, runs the business end of the practice, but also loves talking to patients about food, wine, and menu planning.
When not working, Susan can be found knitting (she has published several knitwear designs), riding her bike, swimming, or enjoying wine and chocolate with Frank.
