G4S Secure Solutions

I’ve been an employee for over 10 years with G4S (Formerly Wackenhut). Everything that is said about this place is 100% correct. They under pay their employees while expecting them to go above and beyond the basic security officer duty of «Observing and Reporting.» There are constant mistakes in payroll and having them respond to calls or email’s is like pulling teeth. After 10 years of being at our GE Vallecitos Site I am now looking for new employment because I am in charge of locks, keys, badges and assist with payroll but I get the same pay as the officers who get to sit on their behinds and watch movies all day. If a woman complains about doing the same work and getting less pay as discrimination, I don’t see how getting the same pay for doing more work isn’t. If you are looking for a security job, steer clear from this place. If you are looking for Security Services, you should be warned that the officers are unhappy, treated poorly and are very underpaid. The San Jose Branch has had a nearly complete overhaul of their workers. M. Chang, the CA Branch manager quit while under investigation for fraud. That should tell you the quality of business they provide.

I had high expectations of this company prior to being hired. I don’t understand how this company can be so difficult to be an employee of. I was assigned to Seagate, completed 40 hours of training (24 in the control room). Yet, I’m expected to be an IT tech including being completely familiar with 3 different computer systems. As a patrolman, I received 6 hours of training (the employee was complaining about management the entire time). The training was ok, but there’s no way I can learn the ins and outs of any job in 3 days. They consider you fully qualified as if you’ve been there 6 months. Oh, 3 people were fired in the week I was training. Yeah, you read this review correctly. The manager, Sam, has short man complex. He’s about 5’1. He belittles and mistreats everyone who works there including the supervisor, Debbie. Debbie is nice and actually tries to help, but it’s a losing battle. Did I also mention I haven’t been paid yet. Pay is weekly and I expected it today, so I will hope I receive a paper check in the mail today, as promised. I don’t know about the other sites, but I would not recommend this company as a good employer. NEVER accept a Seagate assignment, trust me.

This place is terrible. Management is corrupt, they steal from their employees! You will have a paycheck discrepancy every week and their employees often are unhappy, under paid. Etc. As much I was mislead to think I was stepping into a credible Security company that wanted continuity and longevity they simply lie, deceive and mislead you just to recruit. I was told I would get a swing shift, but as soon as I quit my other job they said they don’t have that shift anymore and that I either take Graveyard or leave it. Which is an illegal breach of contract ’ Promissory Estoppel ‘. If you can work for anyone else do it.
Also, whatever you do don’t accept an offer to work at Seagate. Seagate is like a living hell.

This company has RUDE, DISRESPECTFUL, AND IGNORANT EMPLOYEES. I have never seen a turn around of security officers at my building at any other business. People who are hired harasss the people who pay their checks. They Ignore bike thefts, Break ins, robberies, etc. They rather harass easy targets like the people they were hired to protect. So bad notified the Better Business Bureau aswell as Kron 4 investigates.

New job requires an extensive background check. No prob. Make my way up to the most congested part of SF to this little strange gem to get my fingerprints. I thought I was in an episode of Orange is the New Black. The front desk person had the angry demeanor of a jail guard. I think she thinks I’m here cause I’m in trouble, or something. Or she just hates working.

The SAN FRANCISCO OFFICE. This security company is horrible. They are rude, and disrespectful. Diane Bertrum NEVER answers the phone nor returns phone calls or vm, 2 months might I add. They pass you around from one person to another never handling their employees needs. Just sucks
