Just recently used their services for my kids bday party. I have two paw patrol obsessed toddlers. We hired (Marshall) and both my husband and I were pleasantly impressed at the quality of the costume. The entertainers were energetic and kept the kids intrigued for the hour. The booking was easy and customer service was excellent. I would highly recommend fun factory to my family and friends. 2 days later and my kids are still taking about how Marshall came to their party.

Costume was great quality; delivery arrived ahead of schedule. Good stuff!

I ALMOST paid for Mickey Mouse to come to my son’s party. Thank god I didn’t after reading these reviews! I did get the text to pay $ 235 for one hour. Mickey takes his head off to do the facepainting. EEK! You would think a helper would be coming along at this price! I have asked several times to email me a pic of the mascott before I pay. He still has not but DID send me a Paypal request and said I had 3 days to confirm. OKAY… no thanks. Steer clear… this guy is shady! No pics… bad reviews… rude on the phone.

Terrible terrible customer service! I emailed inquiring about availability of a dinosaur for my son’s birthday. I got a very short, rude email back from Jeff telling me it was impossible to tell me anything without knowing the details of my party. Ok fine. I emailed that information back and never heard back. Jeff needs to take a crash course in customer service if he expects to continue to run a business! Needless to say I moved on in my search and definitely don’t recommend wasting your time with this company.

I would honestly give negative stars if I could. The person named Jeff who claims to be a legitimate business owner, is not only unprofessional, but he lies about being out of the country and refused to issue a refund after false advertisement of the costume I rented.
I requested an image of the costume I was renting via email, which he provided, and when the costume arrived, it was not only nowhere near the image he sent of the Mickey Mouse costume he claimed to be sending, but it was filthy dirty with pieces missing– buttons, the nose hanging off and an unacceptable amount of wear and tear.
Upon expressing my disappointment with the costume, he said he was out of the country for the next 3 weeks and would resolve the issue upon his return. I’m now having to pursue a legal claim to recoup the fees I paid for the costume, which he overcharged me for, without authorization. His response concerning my request for a refund, is a threat that he will simply «overturn my claim if I pursue it with the bank.»
I would NOT recommend this so called «business» to anyone. Jeff is extremely rude, beyond unprofessional, and refuses to recognize his unethical conduct. Save yourself the trouble, the hundreds of dollars, and find another company to rent from.

I was looking to kill some time in Westfield Oakridge Mall while my iPhone 6+ was being repaired. I spotted the Fun Factory and decided it would be a fun place to take my 21 month old son. It was relatively early and there were hardly any patrons inside except one other child and their mom. Upon entering we were greeted by Vanessa (Fun Factory Employee).
Fun Factory is filled with arcade games and a few rides for little kids.
To partake in the fun here are some pointers:

At Token Machine swipe Fun Factory card for tokens
Play games and earn «tickets»
Take tickets to Ticket Eater Machine
Redeem tickets on Fun Factory card for prizes
I decided to put $ 10 dollars on the card. We played a few games, earned tickets and won a prize. Customer service was friendly by Vanessa. The entire place was clean and well maintained.

I would give them zero stars! They only answer the phone if your are trying to purpose a costume. I’ve been calling them for 5 days now and I have left several messages. I spoke to Jeff who stated the rental of the costume would come on a Thursday, no signature required, and the rental price would be $ 145. The costume came Friday night which was signature required so I had to pick up the costume from ups Saturday morning (day of party, which was 45 mins away). & he charged me $ 158.I open the box to check out the suit and the zipper was broken, the costume was dirty, & the mascot head had no holes inside of the head to see out of it. A freaking JOKE. After talking to Jeff who stated he would investigate this and call me back on Saturday I haven’t heard from him yet. Also he advised me to still ship the suit to someone else who he is going to rip off also. He doesn’t get the suit back and clean it. DONT RENT FROM HERE. A total rip off.

I should’ve read the reviews about this company before hiring them but I was so excited to find a Muno costume for my baby boys 1^st birthday party. Paid $ 50 deposit over the phone after numerous requests to speak with an actual person. Every time I requested info the response came in the form of a email simply asking for a deposit via email. When Jeff finally returned my calls himself, I requested a photo of the costume. The costume the entertainer was wearing was not the costume in the photo! The entertainer come out with the entire back of the costume open so all the children saw that there was a small woman inside. Jeff stated that the entertainer would «perform a hour show» which was not what we expected since the voice over the speaker had no connection whatsoever to the character performing. The performer gave us time to take photos but nobody wanted to! I gave Jeff a courtesy email before posting this review in hopes that there would be an apologetic response that would somehow make up for the whole catastrophe but to no avail. First time that I wished for the ability to give zero stars! :(

I don’t even know where to begin. Very unprofessional & rude. My cousin rented a TMNT costume thru this company for my boys birthday party as a gift. She ended up canceling it right after she received the costume because the birthday party was cancelled due to my boys getting sick. She called them right away. He said it was no problem, send it back immediately & she would only lose the shipping costs. She told him she needed it the following weekend & he said it would be no problem. She texted him later in the week to confirm & he states that it’s not available & he books out weeks in advance. Ok, why didn’t you say that when she was canceling? So I get online & start looking for a Ninja Turtle & start calling around for prices. I had no idea one of the companies I end up contacting is the same one she had hired. He calls me & explains that for someone to appear is $ 200. I asked him if he rents out the costumes & he says yes. $ 135 & you need to let me know by 10pm. He then texts me back to confirm after I hang up with him. I then realize it’s the same area code that my cousin was texting regarding the rental so I look & it’s the same number, same company. So against my better judgment, I call her & tell her the company that says he doesn’t have anymore rentals is telling me he does. So she calls him & of course he denies it but too late I have the text to prove it. She tells me she has «store credit» with them because of the change in party date. So seems like this jerk was trying to make $$$ off of me, a new customer, instead of letting my cousin use her credit, because it was already paid for. At this point, I’m just desperate to get a turtle for my boys so again, against my better judgment I call him back, text him, tell him I don’t really care that he was caught lieing, but of course, a dirt bags a dirtbag. No reply. Thanks for being a scumbag. I ended up finding a Ninja Turtle from Cortez Entertainment, & I couldn’t of been happier. Thanks for being a great company for kids Fun Factory. Jerks!

Do not use this company! Worst service I’ve ever seen in my life! This girl Jeff sent my wife and myself the most disrespectful emails ever! They charged my credit card twice and will not refund my money! I had to report the fraud to my credit card company as they were not suppose to charge me yet will not refund! The costume was horrible and looked nothing like what the website said! I repeat do not use this company!!! I’m reporting them to the better business bureau!!!

Oakridge location is totally rigged. Played only claw machines and wasted $ 30+. The claws are very loose and do not grab anything. The times it did miraculously grabbed something, it released it.

Oakridge arcade is small and extremely overpriced. They try to scam you into swiping your card and only take cash at the desk.
Minimum five dollar purchase AND they charge you for the card to load your money into. Then the games are like a dollar each.
Boring, old games. Nope.

I was looking to hire a super hero for my daughter’s birthday and I happened to stumble on this website…
I called the number and left a message explaining what I needed, and simply asked for someone to return my call…
Well, I did not get a phone call. I got a text instead, asking for $ 275 not including for 45min show. When all the other competitors run from $ 99 – 195 for an hour!
I simply said thanks anyway but that price is out of control. His response was «we don’t really care about doing stuff for cheep last min». I was just speechless that a kids party character rental bussiness owner would be so unprofessional and rude. Why the heck would I want to hire anyone from him?
I went back to read the reviews, How this site has even three stars I don’t know. Jef or whatever the heck his name is. Was an A &@@
I will not recommend anyone to even bother calling this place, because you most likely will get a rude text back with smart comments.
Let’s not let jerks like this continue with a bussiness that is suppose to entertain our children.
I did find someone that was great and it sure was not $ 275. Oh I forgot to mention just like everyone else on here, I also had a time frame to text him back or else lol. Buddy you are not going anywhere with your attitude like this. I took snap shots of his text, yup I did! I will post it up so y’all can see it for your selfs.

This is for the arcade located at Oakridge. Everytime we come to Oakridge my kids HAVE to come here. I give them $ 5 of tokens and thats it. The games in there are pretty descent. They are all pretty up to date and clean. And when a game eats a token, is broken or doesn’t spit out tickets, the workers are very patient and nice about it and help you out. I like how there are a lot of things for both older and younger kids to play with. It’s nicely air conditioned in there and never gets too over crowded.

I called today and left a message for a call back regarding rental of the Doc McStuffin mascot costume and clarification regarding the price. The rental was advertised at 125.00. I received a call back from a not so gentle man named Jeff. I reiterated my need and he replied with the statement 145.00. I waited thinking that he was going to add to his statment, he did not. So I proceed to say is there no rhyme or reason for the price difference. He replied, «yes there is a rhyme and a reason, 145.00.» So again I waited for an answer. I realize that I was dealing with a problem, so I say nevermind I see you have a bad attitude so I will go with another company. He then say” awww! I’m going to cry.” I told him he should and hung up so I did not have to encounter anymore of his rude behavior.
I don’t think there is ever a time when a consumer calls to enquire about something and is met with that kind of nastiness, esp when it is about the money I am going to spend. This was for my 1 year old grandchild’s birthday party. Jeff made what was to be a fun experience turn into something I currently regret. Thanks for absolutely nothing.

We hired 3 character’s for my daughters 2^nd birthday party (Elmo, Big Bird & Cookie Monster) also we rented the trackless train. All the 3 character’s were AMAZING! They showed up early, gave me very clear details about everything works and listened and followed my requests as well. It was a 100 degrees the day of the party, I felt so bad for them given the temperature and portion of the party was outside, they never once complained. They were so comforting with the kids, everyone loved them (no one feared or cried). My daughter adored them, I have the best pictures of the characters with my daughter (who she refer’s to as her best friends)!
I have nothing but the highest praises for the girls that came dressed in these characters and put on a great show for the kids!
The trackless train was also amazing. The conductor was the nicest man ever. He needed very little instruction and made the rides around our neighborhood so much fun.
Before the party, during the ordering process, Jeff at funfactory was very accommodating. We had a specific layout we wanted and other companies said the could not accommodate our needs, but not Jeff. he was one board, very easy to work with. he even followed up with me one an issue (which was completely my fault). He fixed it and we laughed and moved on.
Thank you funfactory for an amazing birthday party. I hope you give the girls that came in character a big bonus, they were amazing and dealt with the heat so well.

The costume arrived 2 days before our event, which was good because we needed to air it out from a chemical smell… not too bad bc that makes me think it had just been cleaned. There was a small piece around Muno’s eye that was peeling off, but it wasn’t super noticeable.
Service was good, but I would prefer a little more info in the reservation process, perhaps a general contract so I didn’t feel like I was handing over my credit card for who knows what.
The costume was great and the kids (and adults) loved it. The costume made the party. I was pleased with the costume quality in relation to the rental price. Would definitely use them again.

Children’s Birthday parties and Fun Factory are synonymous in San Jose, California. If you are hosting, or know someone hosting a child’s event, you MUST call Fun Factory. Having been in the business for over 25 years, they have the longevity and know what their customers are looking for. Whether it’s renting a bouncy house (or for that matter a bouncy village!!!), hiring a magician, or getting costumes, they do it ALL.
Fun Factory is the one stop shop for all your party needs. Need a suggestion? They can do that too. They know what’s trending right now and will ensure that your party isn’t a bust, supplying you with the best costumes, hottest characters, or even arranging for a petting zoo. There isn’t much they CAN’T do.
They don’t stop at entertainment, they also know the ins and outs of the trending birthday cakes and other party ideas. Just check out the hot angry bird cakes!
When it comes to planning a party, I love the ability to go to one place and know that I can order everything I need at one time. Thanks Fun Factory!

My granddaughter’s second birthday party was fun but when the smurfs showed up the party really started! I heard one little girl asking «Are those the real smurfs?» And then saying to them «I’ve seen your movie nine times!!»
They danced and held the kids, they weren’t scary at all for them. All of the kids had a great time hugging them and sitting on their laps. I will welcome these folks anytime.

First of all, this company provides many, many families (and company events) with great party experiences! There are many variety of characters to choose from and the company is always evolving to bring in the latest interest for children’s theme parties into their circle of options.
The company prides itself on being able to also provide services such as face painting, balloon animals, themed party supplies, etc in addition to the character itself. What more would you want when planning a children’s party? It’s like one stop shopping — made convenient!
They were genuine and dedicated to the success of the event. They communicated clearly to make sure the characters were confirmed, understood everything requested, and what they need to deliver the best experience possible.
Every call is important to him and he returned calls promptly, no matter where he was — even when outside of the office.
Don’t let unprofessional character agents (whom are no longer associated with this company for obvious reasons) discourage you from booking your next event or children’s party with this company. They are still in business for a reason — there are MANY happy & satisfied customers out here who LOVE the experience their children have had!
