Fresco Supermarket

Bought BBQ grill a week ago and was not able to return. They showed me the policy on the receipt: return only during 24 hours! How is that possible? At 6:30 pm there us no manager in the store to deal with the situation and I was told that only a manager can process the return. I’ve never seen such a policy before in any store. I wonder if that complies with the law. Terrible service.

I love going to new (to me) grocery stores to find new and exciting things to cook.
I’ve driven by it before, but never stopped to look until recently when I wanted some juice. They have some good food stalls inside. I like the fresh fruit stand, the taco stall looked good too. The bakery section looked very pretty.
The rest was average. Not a huge selection of a certain thing. For example, they had your average sized canned food section, but it had the American stuff, Mexican stuff and Asian stuff. So you had a lot to choose from, but not a lot at the same time.
I still walked out with my juice and a few other things too.

Went here again today and bought meat for my mother as always. That man who always called me his girlfriend was still looking at me like always. I slightly glared at him and it was hilarious how other customers thought there was something between him and I but nope there’s nothing. XD

Mexican market meets asian market — what’s not to love? If I need groceries to make an Asian dinner I can get all the ingredients I need here, and if I want to make some fresh guacamole to snack on I can get all of that here too!
I started going to this market because it’s close to my house. Everyone that works here is always so darn friendly and smiley, even in the meat department! Every asian market I’ve been to has grouchy old men working in the meat dept and if I ask them to cut my meat or fish a certain way they usually don’t understand what I’m saying (language barrier), or maybe they just don’t want to do it. Here, they are always very accommodating, I never have a problem communicating with any of them, and they always have a friendly smile on their face. One time I was buying those leftover salmon bones and one of the guys started cutting up more whole salmon and throwing in the better cuts so that I could get first dibs. So sweet! Also, whenever I’m in any of the aisles, at least 1 employee walks by to ask if I need help with anything… and this happens on practically every trip that I’ve come here.
Prices are reasonable and competitive to any other asian/​Mexican market in the area. The produce section is a bit cramped though. I usually push my cart all the way to the side where there’s less traffic and then grab whatever I need and bring it back to where my cart is. It’s also cramped where the cashiers are, so I don’t go to that front section until I know I’m done otherwise I might get stuck maneuvering around for a while. Anyways, I always have a pleasant shopping experience here especially compared to other Asian markets. They really seem to care about customer service here! Very pleasant surprise indeed and that’s what keeps me coming back!

Fresco: You’re my right hand, you’re my go to.
I’ve been going to you since you’ve opened, and only recently have I tried your pan dulce. SO good. Even though you’re just a grocery store your conchas are always SO moist. (I can say that, right?) I hate when you buy these things from other places and they are DRY right out the door. Yours literally were good for at least another 24 hours. Love how its so easily accessible too! Also, the naranja (orange) loaf bread, A MUST.

This review is for the young Asian cashier only. Because of her the 5 star review became 1. Got great service at meat section, everyone else were very nice. When we got to cashier she wasn’t smiling at all. When we paid I said I have change and she just ignore me and gave me back the 90 cents change. Instead of taking my change and pay me a dollar bill! Just overall bad service from her kind of ruined our Saturday morning mood.

I like this place ! If you watch the ads, you can grab some really good deals. They run good specials on chicken leg quarters almost every other week. They put a good price on Korean short ribs as well. They have lots of fresh fish and the prices are not bad. Their meat counter is pretty impressive as they have many cuts and make their own marinades for the meat. You can get certain cuts of meat in plain or in one or two different marinades.
This store has a Hispanic name but it does have an Asian market feel to it as well. Lots of produce to choose from. There is a mini restaurant inside serving Hispanic influenced dishes. This store is good for everybody as they carry a big variety of products. But I would not do all my shopping there as many things are more expensive than the regular grocery stores. I usually go to purchase certain items that go on sale. I shop at 5 to 7 different stores when I do my grocery shopping, pending on the ads. You really need to to insure you are getting the best deals. I can hit 7 stores within a 5 mile radius of my house. This one is the farthest, but I usually work in the shopping when I’m in that area anyways.
The staff are friendly and the store looks good considering how many people traffic through there daily. It is always busy. I will continue shopping at Fresco Market.

Today was my first visit to Fresco. I’m really picky when it comes to buying seafood, I bought shrimp. I also purchases other groceries while I was there, I was amazed of the huge variety Fresco offers. Not to mention that the prices are super low. I’m definitely returning.

Like many other people I starting going to here when the Safeway near by closed down. They have a good selection of Mexican and Asian food. In the past I used to drive all over town to get the korean BBQ marinade but they have a good selection korean food and meat marinades. They also have fresh seafood and meat since they have a high volume of meat that they sell. My only complaint in the past is that once I did get a not so fresh piece of meat but I just brought it back and they gave me more meat with no questions.
This is also the place to go if you are stocking up for a party as the prices on meat, vegetables, and basic party food are super low.

THEY ALWAYS HAVE SPECIALS GOING ON! Gut all the items are all crammed together since its not a very large store and catering to the Asian and Hispanic community.

I like the Supermarket Fresco!
they have a really good fresh meats section with some exotic stuff I will probably never try. They also have some good stuff too like chicken, beef, prawns and fish. They also have a pretty good fruits and veggie section which you could probably find what you are looking for. They usually have a high volume of people shopping there so the turnover rate of the meats means you will probably get some very fresh cuts!
Even thought this place is a little out of the way for me, it’s worth it!

I only discovered this super market after going to the mall, didn’t even know it was there until we pulled out of the parking lot!
It’s a huge place filled with both Asian and Mexican food. All the spices and snacks from both cultures! Aisles and aisles of treats and new finds!
Went to the Seafood section and found oysters, 2 lbs for $ 17.99!
Only problem I saw was the lines. There are around 10 or more check outs but only 3 open. Took around 15 minutes to finally pay and get going!

When I thought about an Asian/​Mexican Market opening up in my area, I was thinking WTH, and didn’t really think anything of it. I would go to the grocery store there if I was too lazy to go to Mi Pueblo to get my Mexican Food. Being Asian it was only convenient that they had Asian food there too.
But I haven’t really been impressed about it until recently. I finally discovered their Deli inside and oh my goodness! The prices are great and the food was soo good! I am a fan, and my only complaint was that there was more meat in my pazole than soup one day, (but that was because I was sick and I was thinking I was gonna get something soupy… if that should even be a complaint).
But I haven’t ordered anything I didn’t like yet. and there are $ 1.50 tacos that are amazing! They have a meat market, quesoria and make fresh tortillas. The service and the workers are really nice too, they go out of their way to make sure we are happy… I only started going back here out of desperation after the Safeway by us closed down because of a roof collapse, but Fresco Supermarket is definitely up there on my list of places to go when you have a craving for authentic Mexican Food, next to Mexico Bakery & Mi Pueblo.

Everything is so cheap here!!! This is a Mexican and Asian supermarket. Something I have never seen before, but a great hybrid!
There’s a large selection of fresh produce. I always go to the bakery to buy fresh baguette bread. It’s only $ 1 for 5 of them! You can’t get that anywhere else! Taste better than Lee sandwiches bread too.
It can get a bit chaotic because there’s so much things going on and so many people, but it gives more character than Safeway. :)

I just starting coming here about a month ago, it is a very clean market and the cashiers are always pleasant. The food is priced reasonably, I think better than Safeway but it doesn’t quite match Costco…
Today was a real treat; they had performers doing the Lion dance through the market accompanied with beautiful music! My kids really got a kick out of it. We will likely return again soon.

I addition, this is your full inventory supermarket, equipped with can food, frozen section, cleaning supplies, and misc snacks. A wide variety of liquor is available too. The facility is huge, but be prepared for the narrow/​congested produce area. The facility is clean and organized, with several staff members waking the floor and available for assistance. Nice diversity of Asian and Mexican food and produce, love their chilies assortment!

Had never visited a Fresco Supermarket before. It’s a crazy market, it surely is… it is a cross between a Mexican and an Asian market. So imagine a bunch of Mexicans and Asians in the same market with small isles and overcrowded space. They are big on their fish department since they have frozen and live fish to choose from. You can even choose your fish, have it killed AND COOKED as you wait. Full service type of department. I am going to give them the benefit of the doubt and assume that it was just the holidays that made this place be so disorganized, but I don’t think you should be at a market for over an hour! No, no, no… my suegra likes to come here so I’m sure I’ll come around again and when that happens I might update my review.

I’ll write a detailed review when I get home but the persistence by upper management has me convinced that they are solely trying to create a positive customer experience.
The 2^nd time I was here was 3 weekends ago to get my mom aloe vera. The gentleman stocking the produce stopped me so that he can get me a fresh batch.
Now that I am back for myself because managers reached out to me; offered me a full refund from the low rating to a gift certificate. I did not want to take advantage of anyone so I agreed to meet but didn’t want anything in return.
What did I get? I got a gift certificate and basically a store which has over 20 employees working right now focusing on not just me but every customer in the store. I noticed my surroundings and saw a huge improvement on service.
I met Edgar and another guy from the meat department — they both personally apologized to me and actually made me smile. I was in awe w/​how I was treated and I can see myself shopping here every Thursday or Friday because prices are cheap, the food is fresh, and service is great.

So if Ranch 99 and Mi Pueblo ever made sweet love and had a baby… it would be FRESCO… it’s pretty much a hybrid Asian/​Mexican supermarket with products catering to both cultures (the only thing they are missing is a Chinese BBQ stand haha)
So Fresco is pretty much rock bottom pricing on EVERYTHING… especially in the produce section. I gotten broccoli crowns for 3lbs for $ 1, 8 bunches of cilantro for $ 1, $.49 cauliflower, etc. It seems like whatever they have overstock on, they markdown even further to sell. Even liquor is cheap… Ciroc sells for $ 19.99 when it’s on sale… which is UNHEARD of the cheapest you’ll ever see it anywhere is $ 22.99-$ 24.99.
for your BBQ ppl. The marinated meats (carne asada) are about $ 1-​$ 1.50 cheaper per lb then places like Mi Pueblo/​Chavez Market, but they aren’t as good. Quantity over quality I guess? But can’t complain. They usually have great deals on chicken/​pork/​beef/​fish which covers all my bodybuilding needs!
The food court here is pretty good too. I usually get some tacos before I go shopping so I keep that tradition alive haha. It’s right by Eastridge Mall and on a very busy intersection so getting here can be quite an adventure (gotta love how people drive on the Eastside hahaha) but well worth it, you can save a ton of cash by shopping here.
Oh how can I forget. Fresco loves to PARTY… usually twice a year, they’ll advertise some kind of party with raffles, prizes, and tons of freebies. These celebrations are a big deal, they even hire a live DJ. Pretty dope!
