I sent several inquiries regarding a door replacement.
Ali from FMD Distributor was the only one that responded immediately with very helpful information.
He was very clear with the time and cost breakdown.
Perfect!. Until I paid for the door.
Then I stopped getting responses completely. Any questions or issues. no replies.
I arrived to pick up at 3:45pm but their store had closed early (the hours stated until 4pm and I confirmed with them over the phone). They sent someone over to open the door for me.
Unfortunately, the door I ordered was not cut to specifications which I should’ve checked at the store so I had to make an extra trip to have it redone. They did trim the door right away! :)
Their store has many flooring /​crown molding samples. There’s almost too many that it was a little difficult choosing one out.

a close friend recommended this place so my husband and I decided to go check it out since we are in the process of redoing our floor. Needless to say, based on the previous Unilocal reviews, Homer did not disappoint! he was very helpful and patient with us. He is also very professional and gave us honest input which is important to me. We will be going back to them to purchase our hardwood floor materials. Go see Homer!

I came to FMD for crown moulding material and landed up using their services for carpet installation as well. Homer is exceptional at customer service and he helped me with all the remodeling needs. He even referred me to a general contractor who helped with the remodeling at a very short notice. Given the service, I didn’t even bother checking prices elsewhere. He even took back material which was unused. While we are waiting for the carpet install, Homer has been constantly in touch with status updates, product information and scheduling needs. I would recommend FMD and Homer for your remodeling needs.

HUGE selection of crown moulding and base boards!!! I never knew this place existed and thought I would be forced into buying base boards from Home Depot with their very limited selection, but thankfully our flooring company referred me to FMD for base boards. They have a wide selection of base boards all on display and once you find what you like– they have small samples for you to bring home for free so you can compare. Bring a pen and paper with you to write down the ones you’re interested in and all the samples are there for you to find and take as needed. This was sooo helpful is making the final choice. What I didn’t particularly like is that you have to ask someone at the front desk the price per foot as it’s not listed behind the showcase. You can save yourself an initial trip too by going to their website as they have ALL of their samples online. This was a great feature I had wished I knew about prior to making the first trip over. Another thing to consider is that they only sell their base boards in 16ft lengths making it virtually impossible (or dangerous) to transport without proper clearance/​racks. I didn’t dare try it in my crew cab truck so I forked out the $ 45 delivery fee whereas big box stores sell their base boards in more manageable 12ft lengths.

Came here to pick out some white baseboards for my room since I am remodeling it. They have some great selections of crown moldings, baseboards, carpet, hardwood,
choose from. I really like the way they display their stuff because you can actually see what it looks like, the actual size, etc.
After choosing the one that you want, you just have to let the staff know and they will take care of the rest. After payment, you would have to go to the back of the warehouse to pick it up. I would have to say that the service here were extremely helpful, nice, and friendly.
There’s just two things about this place that can definitely be improved. in other words, what I didn’t like. First, I was a little annoyed that they were very limited on some of their supplies. I had to go with my third option because the first two were not available or they didn’t have enough to cover just one small room. Second, there were some cracks on my baseboards. I didn’t notice it until I have already installed it. It was only a few lines here and there but it was definitely noticeable so I had to put some spackling paste on it.
But overall, I would still recommend this place. Friendly helpful service and decently priced materials.

We bought a home and did a complete remodel inside. We purchased two custom etched/​carved glass doors from this company FMD Doors.
One door was a pantry door and the other was an entry way closet door. We added hidden hinges for the sleek classy look because the doors were custom. We also bought custom baseboards and door frames for the entire house from them as well.
When we got our doors the door knob holes had been drilled on the wrong side of the door. Also the hinges were on backward thus making the door open in the wrong direction. Our great contractor was able to flip the pantry door, remove the entire door jam and make it work. The Glass entry door could not be flipped leaving the carved detail in the glass design inside the closet.
We call FMD and explained what happened and they were rude and insisted that we made the mistake and it was our problem. They offered no help or resolution to the problem. The sales person told us we were on our own. We spent thousands of dollars in this business purchasing their products and this was the service response we got.
I would not recommend this door company to anyone. In fact if you are ordering custom doors stay away from this place. FMD Doors will not help you after they get your money. If your custom order arrives damaged or incorrect you will not get any help or resolution. FMD Doors is the worst door company I have ever felt with and I will never ever use them or recommend them to anyone. Stay away from FMD Doors unless you wand screwed up products with no recourse.
FMD Doors has terrible customer service and they refuse to admit they messed up our doors. Forget about this place if you want quality custom work and a business who stands behind their products. My contractor will also be spreading the word about FMD Doors. Ali sold us the doors and he was who we called back and got the horrible customer service from.
I plan on calling Michael Finney from 7 on your side and see if he can help us out. For now all I can do is warn other people who might consider buying anything from FMD Doors. DO NOT BUY FROM FMD DOORS!!! YOU WILL REGRET IT!!!

Ali helped me to pick two front doors. Home depot had a little better price, but I decided to buy from FMD Distributor because of the Ali’s exceptional customer service and their short delivery time. I need the door in 2 days.
I spent 3 hours to pick the right doors, but Ali was sooooo patient with me, and he explained every detail about the door.

We had problems in two of our doors. I went to the store assuming I need to replace the doors. I talked to Ali who started showing me new doors. But when he came to know problems in my doors, he suggested to have them fixed. I was very pleased that instead of trying to sell me new doors (as most would do), he offered the right advise and service.
I also felt comfortable since they have a huge workshop at the back of the store.
Ali coordinated everything. Next day, two people came to my house took one door out, and took some part of second door. They took it to the shop. First door was made prehung door with a new frame around it, while the for the second door a new part was made. The same day, they came back and installed everything back.
Thank you FMD doors for taking care of it. Thanks Ali for your exceptional service. I’m coming to you for my future needs.

We came here to look at crown moulding, baseboard and hardwood. Homer helped us out and our favorite flooring guy (Ben at Flooring Outlet) said Homer is one of the most knowledgable guys on hardwood flooring. Lots of selection and not once did they try to upsell us on anything.
Pricing is very competitive, quality is good and these guys are quick to help meet your sourcing/​delivery needs. Thankfully the crown moulding was in stock, Homer made sure it was delivered to us so that we could stay on our remodel schedule. The delivery guy was awesome; again, great service.

I bought my carpet from this store. Excellent customer service, specially Homer was so nice and helpful. I’m very happy with my floor. Would be happy to recommend them to all my friends .
I also bought my mantel over there which is really pretty and elegant. I LOVE IT .
I’m planing to put crown molding and baseboard and their selection is awesome. I would highly recommend FMD to anyone that considering doing any type of remodeling.

We are almost done with building our house. During this construction period we had interaction with many many different suppliers for all types of different materials. Without doubt we can says that we had the best experience with FMD. They supplied all our interior doors, crown moldings, interior columns, door locks, and hardwood flooring throughout the house.
FMD handled all our questions professionally and with respect. They showed willingness to work with us and provided alternative ideas. Sam, Ali and Trini have been pleasure to work with.
My wife and I are very pleased with responsiveness of FMD. Our interaction was over extended period and their was no drop in the high level of professionalism throughout this period.

I am so pleased with my services at FMD! My husband and I worked with Homer on our bathroom remodeling and carpet replacement. Let me first say that their price is very reasonable if not cheaper than other places (i.e. Abbey’s Carpet and S&G Carpet). We were on a time crunch, and Homer and his team were able to finish our carpet and bathroom in 2 days! I really appreciate his workers staying til 11PM to finish the job. They were so friendly, and took care of our house fairly well. Homer would call and follow-​up with us on the status, and answered every questions we had in a promptly manner.
My husband and I have been shopping for different contractors for our flooring and bathroom needs, and I’m so happy we drove by this place. I’d recommend all my friends and family to this place. Thank you Homer and FMD employees for all your hard work and making this moving transition so smooth for us! We will definitely return here again for more business.

We recently had Brazilian Teak installed, kitchen/​family room, dining area, hall way.
We actually had the job started by a contractor that was recommended by a G/​C that did the original hardwood floors/​full kitchen redo 20 years ago. The sub-​contractor that he recommended I won’t talk about. A lesson learned.
We stopped that job before anything more went wrong, and I did research to find a suiteable contractor. At the same time I was looking for a good deal on the material.
We interviewed and got quotes from 7 contractors, as it turned out I went into FMD because I couldn’t find Lumber L. so I stopped in to look at the product and get an idea on cost.
I met Homer, I explained my situation, he came over the next day to quote on the job.
He was on time, very polite and told me they could either finish the job that was started if we choose, or pull out the product and restart, it was up to us. He did not push either way, just said they would do a good job in what every we decided.
After a few weeks we decided to have the floors pulled out and new material put in.
FMD’s quote was in line with the others. I had a good feeling about Homer, and the service he would provide. He brought in Enrique and his team, I can’t tell what a great job they did, they were there on time, and at the time I requested, they cleaned up everyday after themselves. I’ve worked with many contractors over the years and I have to say these are one of the best I have worked with.

I stumbled upon this place by accident. A friend recommended me to a flooring place on Brokaw. I saw Empire and FMD across the street from each other. I picked this place thinking it was the one my friend was telling me about, but turns out that he was talking about Empire.
Anyway, I go in on a Sunday and find a pretty good selection of laminate inside the store. They seem a lot more reasonably priced than Home Depot and the samples seemed to be of a better quality. I really just went in there to browse to get an idea of how much these guys charged, but I saw they had a sale going on until the end of February with a laminate I really liked. It was originally $ 1.89/sq ft and it was on sale for $ 1.39/sq ft. They scheduled a measurement for me the next day and broke down how much they thought it would cost for the laminate, baseboard, and installation. I agreed to the price and put down a deposit.
For those of you keeping score, I’ve got a 5 star review for them at this point… maybe a 4.
So then the installation process begins. They initially scheduled me to have a Friday/​Saturday installation, but I got a call on Thursday saying they can’t start until Saturday and they’ll hopefully finish on Sunday. No big deal. The crew shows up on Saturday and works from 9:30 am until 11:00 pm. Kudos to them for getting the job done in one day, but I started to notice some things right off the bat that makes me wonder if they would have done a better job if they spread the work over two days. For example, they didn’t clean the floors or the counters. There was a HUGE amount of dust everywhere because they ripped up old tile to put in the laminate. Even if they didn’t wipe down the counters for me, they should at least clean the floors so that it looks new. Then I noticed they had broken a picture frame. Rather than tell me about it, they hid it in a corner and said nothing. Same with a dinner plate. I found that in a dustpan of mine they were using. And I found their garbage from their lunch all over the place. I’m not the cleanest guy in the world, but I’m not a fan of finding Panda Express containers in the bushes of my front lawn. Then I noticed they had damaged some drywall while installing the baseboards and they chipped some existing laminate that wasn’t being replaced (and was only a couple years old). And they didn’t even move the furniture back until they saw me trying to do it by myself. Again, I get it that they worked a long day and probably just wanted to go home, but I never said they had to be finished by Saturday… I’m just wondering why they felt the need to do it all in one day. Even if they were ordered to finish in one day, that does not excuse the stuff I just listed.
It should be noted that the floors that were installed do look pretty good. There’s a couple spots that don’t look the best, but overall, I like the way the laminate looks in my house and can’t find too many imperfections.
So the store calls me a couple days later saying they want to make sure the installation went well. I told them that I’m happy with how the floor looks, but started to tell them about things… like the picture frame. The response was, «I hope it wasn’t of sentimental value to you,» and they asked for authorization to charge my credit card for the rest of the balance. Seeing how I wasn’t going to get anywhere with my gripes, I dropped the rest of the complaints and let them charge my credit card.
We’ll see how the laminate holds up. I’ve got a dog and there’s already some marks showing up in the laminate… not scratches, but marks in the laminate that are flush with the wood. Assuming it holds up okay, I’d still give the store a 4 or 5 star rating for the product itself without installation.
It goes without saying that I’m extremely disappointed in the installation services. I feel I would have been better off picking up an amigo from the Home Depot parking lot and it would have been a lot less than the $ 2.50/sq ft (plus $ 450 for removing the old tile) that this place charged me. The installation experience was horrible enough that it almost completely negates the good deal I got on the laminate… and the apathy of the employees at the store about my complaint is just icing on the cake. I wish I could give this place a 1 star review, but the selection and prices of the laminate is good enough to give it another star. If you’re going to do business here, buy the laminate/​wood/​tile from here but save yourself money and headache by getting someone else to do your installation for you.

We looked everywhere and bought all our moulding for our house from them. The best selection, quality, and price. Their price is half or less of the price at Home Depot for much better moulding. We also bought a bathroom door which was fantastic. Great staff, helpful. We are extremely satisfied.

FMD has a huge selection of flooring, moulding, and doors, and the pricing is very competitive. To top it off, the service is excellent!
I purchased baseboard, crown moulding, and doors and am very satisfied with my purchases.
A friend who is a local contractor told me that this is where the pros shop. The thing I found interesting is that although «the pros» shop there, they give excellent service to the «homeowner customers» too.
Regarding the crown moulding and baseboard — they let you return any unused full pieces, which is a plus because it can sometimes be hard to estimate and some other stores do not have that convenience.

We went around to at least 5 different places before going back to FMD because of Rick. We have been doing our own contracting since we got overly screwed by our A Hole. Rick has the patience and expertise that regardless of price got us to trust him. His price was less than the lowest we found and we never even told him. We needed some extra measurements to be done and Q came out to our house and while he wondered how we found the contractor who left us with such a mess he never flustered and has helped us tremendously.
