The creation of this company has been a culmination of many years of hard work, research, and dedication to the art and science of aquarium systems. Collectively we have over 15 years of reef tank experience and over 30 years in the aquarium hobby.

Meet the Business Owner

Dustin L. and Jeff D.

Business Owner

Dustin has been professionally designing, building, and maintaining advanced aquarium systems for the last 6 years. He is also a degreed Biologist and Environmental Scientist.

Jeff has been an avid aquarist for most of his life. Prior to co-​founding this company he spent several years as a top technician working for the country’s largest aquarium service company.

They order fish for me and make sure that they are healthy before selling them for a good price. Great guy and great service! Not really a conventional fish store but they are more than willing to get fish for you! San Jose is littered with a bunch of crappy aquariums so if you are looking for a specific fish contact these guys.

Fluid Dynamics have been servicing our tank for some time now. Our customers are so in love with our tank. What Dustin and Jeff have done to our tank is truly amazing. Nice, friendly, guys that knows their stuff on reef tanks, they are actually biologists. They are fast, courteous, and reasonable. I’ve visited their San Jose store a few time, now, you can tell they have excellent livestock as soon as walk in. Everything is thriving and beautiful. They carry the good stuff, hard to find stuff, not what you see at petco or some run down fish store. Best of all, their livestock has a 30 day guarantee! That’s unheard of. Every reef shop I’ve visited in the past tells me the same thing… «once you take it home, it’s all on you» No refund, exchange, or store credit… that sucks! I highly recommend this place! By far the best in Bay Area. They also helped me with my home tank as well. I can’t believe I’m their first Unilocal,these guys are too good.
