I was expecting more from this place for some reason. Yes, they do have herbs and other items that you will never find at a traditional American drugstore. That’s the only plus that I can give this place. Their merchandise is a bit on the pricey side. You can definitely get better deals online or at other stores. They do have a rather large selection of veladoras and other religious relics for whatever you need them for. Staff was sort of friendly. They did try to push me to buy a small bottle of $ 20 pills for weight loss but I refused. Got a feeling that they were a bit pissed that I didn’t buy them. Felt like I was being watched from there on. I don’t think I’ll be back unless they have something no one else has.

The clinic in this place is a disgrace! I second that from the other writer! It’s supposed to be opened @ 10:00am and when you get there nobody is around. The office is dirty and depressing, the customer service experience is a JOKE! The office assistant arrived about 45min later(10:45am) and never even looked at the people sitting in the waiting room as if she couldn’t be bothered for an explanation of why nobody was around during supposed business hours. She later broke down and called the DR. who advise her he wouldn’t be in for another 30 – 45 min! There are people waiting and they don’t care to even staff this place! They must think they can get away with this treatment because it is frequented by Latino’s and usually we don’t complain. Well, there is much they have to learn about providing good health care in any community. I will NEVER again visit this clinic and will advise anyone against visiting this place.

When you live in my neighborhood, you have to get used to the fact that most people don’t speak English. Sometimes that can be a teeny bit frustrating when shopping in the neighborhood. But at Farmacia Remedios the pharmacy department staff all speak English, so I have no problem there. I switched my prescriptions from Walgreens to this place. I’m so happy I did. I love a pharmacy that knows my name(and my disorder!) when I walk up to the counter. It’s only a block from my house, so I’m pretty darn lazy if I drive there! They do have an interesting array of herbal remedies and things that I’m not familiar with. Today I saw Moco De Gorilla hair gel. Moco means«snot.» Eww. But if it works. .. I also like it that they have a low cost health clinic there. I’m big on supporting local businesses, and this is one I’m proud to support!
