Let the buyer beware! At the beginning, this company seemed legitimate and their estimate was very close to Bekin’s, but when they arrived at 1:30 p.m.(7 hours later than promised) they demanded more than twice the estimate. We were planning on being in Fresno that evening and the new owner was taking possession the next day, so we had no alternatives! Everyone at this company is so kind on the phone(very slick talkers), but the whole deal is a scam. We finally agreed on 50% more than originally stated(we had expected it to be somewhat higher because of the large # of boxes we had packed). They sent 6 men since they were so late, but had to rent a truck since their’s broke down(so the story went) and it was barely big enough to accommodate all of our items. Only one man worked hard the entire time while the rest lazed around and did little while the foreman stood around and made phone calls. They took a «lunch break» of at least 90 minutes. We did not leave Pleasant Hill until 9 p.m.!! On the other end, near Austin, TX, the truck arrived three days later than promised and our furniture arrived in a United Van Lines truck! The driver had found ONE man to help him unload the furniture and belongings of a four-bedroom home! The man he hired(not a professional mover, but an amazingly hard worker) was amazing, but he certainly couldn’t do it alone. Fortunately, our neighbor, Michael, showed up when he saw much of our furniture sitting out on the lawn and a massive thunder storm moving in from the west. The driver and worker were taking a lunch break, but it would have been great if things had been left in the garage or the truck until they came back. Eventually, two more men showed up(one tried to sell drugs to Michael!) and eventually(10 p.m.) all of the furniture and boxes were in our new home. What a nightmare! Did I mention all of the dings and scrapes along the stairwell? I’ve spackled and now am working on getting an exact match to repaint three walls. So. .. let the buyer beware!
