I picked up my car a couple weeks ago and held off on my review just in case I found something wrong later. Well, a couple weeks later and I am happy I chose them to do the work. From start to finish, Ed did a great job and I would highly recommend them to others.

Ed’s team did wonder on my car! I got many complements from family and friends how super nice my car looks. This is the shop you want to bring your car in to have it done right. Customer service here are off the chart. They are on time and keep you up to date with the work. I’m very satisfy and you be too.

WOW! just WOW, amazing and very rare service nowadays. Have you ever stumbled on a business or service that was so good or BAD you decided to do them a service/​diss-​service by putting a review of them on Unilocal on your own accord?! Well, this is one of those times.
My car was a victim of a hit/​run/​no note, in which i parked my truck in downtown san jose overnight to only find out the next morning it was sideswiped and hit on the driver side rear. I got 4 quotes from 4 different body shops with (4 – 5 star ratings and above). I went with Express Autobody because they quoted me the cheapest and also please note that i was paying for this OUT OF POCKET and not through insurance. Took my truck in, dropped it off on tuesday, got it back on FRIDAY. It was a SEEMLESS process, no hassle or trying to rip me off. I never once got a feeling of getting ripped off, the owner did the estimate and gave me reasonable expectations and pricing. Here is the kicker, not only did they do a GREAT job on fixing my truck and paint job, they DETAILED the vehicle!!! My car was clean inside and out. I brought it in super muddy and dirty inside and out. Express autobody, did not have to go the extra mile, but they did it anways!!! WOW!!!. I can say this, any business that goes the extra mile for their customer is a business to be longstanding with this business model and customer service. There aren’t many establishments willing to go the extra mile for their customer on their own terms as ive experience with Expressway Auto Body.
NOTE: I went to Michael J’s near coleman and got a quote for double the Price! $ 1826!!! Now, hey im not saying that Michael J is not a good business because they charged me this but, i told them specificaly that i was paying for this out of pocket and not through insurance. However, in the end the adjuster tried to convince me to go through insurance as it wont affect my insurance rates. I understand the body shop can get more money from the insurance, but in the end, frankly if i can pay less and get excellent service and product in the end than it was an easy choice going with Expressway AutoBody because you actually deal with the Owner and he has a sense of Pride for his business.
How i know this he really takes pride in his work? The guy said he was going to be working Saturday and Sunday even though they are closed on the weekends!!! Guess what, it is Superbowl Weekend !!! That takes a high level of committment to his/​her work and customer to get things done! Cheers to that and much respect.

These specialists fixed my 2003 Honda Accord when I was rear ended twice in 6 months. They do beautiful work & you cannot even tell that I ever had an accident. I definitely will bring my car back if I get into any more fender benders. Thank you Ed & great staff!

Perfect quality of service here! Had my car hit on the pillar while parking. The door was scratched. Get it totally fixed less than 200 dollars, much less than I expected. Stop by at 3:00 pm and the job is done before 5pm. Many thanks.

I hit a tree pulling out of a parking space in my 2005 Camry. I scraped and dented the door, the front panel and the bumper. Despite the age of the car, it came back in excellent condition, no sign of any damage and the paint job was flawless.
Expressway Autobody is also the chosen partner of my main mechanic at one of the largest Toyota dealerships in the US. So my trust was not damaged either.

We came to Expressway for an estimate because of Excellent Reviews and when met Jay and showed him our Civic for an estimate he was very quick to respond and provided us with excellent service. He also called us to make sure we were pleased with his estimate and that he would work with our insurance carrier to get the work completed. Jay and his crew have done a magnificent job at fixing our Civic and it is almost like NEW!!!
This shop is the BEST around here in South San Jose and we would recommend this Shop for QUALITY work and superb CUSTOMER SERVICE.

Being relatively new in the Bay Area, I was worried about finding a good auto body shop. I don’t have to worry anymore. Expressway is nothing short of awesome.
When my wife was pulling out of our garage, she forgot one little thing. She left open the rear liftgate of our Lexus SUV after getting something out of it. The liftgate hit the open garage door and it caused a fairly large dent, about 8 inches in circumference and about an inch deep.
Depending on how expensive it would be to repair the damage, I was thinking about going through my insurance company. My deductible is $ 500.
After reading nothing but perfect five star reviews on Unilocal,I called Expressway. I am really glad I did. I first spoke with Veronica on the phone, who was very pleasant to deal with. She told me I could bring the car in for a consultation the next day.
When I brought the car in, within a minute, Jay (the owner) came out to greet me. I could tell he was very experienced in his line of work.
After carefully looking at the damage, Jay told me in lieu of changing out the entire rear lift gate (which would cost well over $ 2000), we could try getting the dent out without having to get a new door, painting it, buying new logos, etc. He did not want to guarantee it would look perfect but thought it would be about 80 – 90 percent.
Since we didn’t want to spend over $ 2000 on a 7-​yr old car, I told him we should try the painless dent removal method. I took the car in the next day and left it overnight.
When we picked up the car the next day, I was absolutely shocked how nice the damaged area looked. I looked very carefully close up and could not tell there was ever any damage there.
I should also mention that for an additional charge of $ 80, Jay buffed out a previously damaged rear bumper. Because I didn’t have the matching paint, the only thing that he couldn’t do was to buff out a few tiny spots. Although it looked fine, Jay offered to do some touch up for us at no charge if we picked up the matching paint from the Lexus dealership and brought back the car. That’s what I call great service!
So for a little over $ 300 in total, the car looks like it’s in mint condition. The job was done quickly and flawlessly and communication by Jay was excellent, as he called us several times to keep us updated along the way.
Expressway Auto Body definitely exceeded my expectations. I will recommend them to my family and friends in the area. Certainly whenever any of my three cars needs any body work, I will not hesitate to bring it to them. That said, I hope I won’t need to.

SO HAPPY WITH THE SERVICE JAY AND HIS CREW PROVIDED! I’m just so happy that I found this place. I had gotten into a hit and run the prior week and was waiting for my insurence to handle the claim. Unfortunately the driver didn’t have insurence and I didn’t cover myself for uninsured motorist. So I was left to do it on my own. I found this place by having 5 stars on Unilocal.And they deserve every star. They made my stressful month into one that I’ll always remember. Jay and his crew were fast and helpful on what I needed to fix my car. They even helped on what little things such just making my door open and taking the scratches off. There was no real wait time and at the end I was offered a coca cola. THEY ARE THE BEST! I’ll be recommending them to everyone!

My car was sideswiped while parked in a building garage. It was a hit and run. Unfortunately, I never got the chance to find person responsible. It was so annoying that I couldn’t get a good night sleep.
Luckily, I found this auto body shop which is very close to my place. I have them buffed the scratch areas and did minor paint touch up.
The car looked amazing and very clean.
All I can say is… this is the only place to have your car repaired.

My review is way overdue! Jay and his team are the best! I have had several fender benders and Jay has come through every time. He has gotten parts for my older cars at very good prices and installed them for very very reasonable prices. I tried a competitor (MJ) one time and boy was that a mistake! I will not take my cars any where else. Thanks Jay!

Jay has repaired both of my cars and I will not go anywhere else; his work is superb, Jay and his staff are professional, friendly and go the extra mile to take care of you. the shop is very clean with a very nice waiting area.

From the minute I called to make an appointment to the time I left with my repaired car, it was a top rate experience.
I dropped my car off on Wednesday morning and it was ready to take home Friday afternoon. I had backed into someone in a parking lot so the bumper needed to be replaced.
When I picked up my car, it looked beautiful and so clean! Jay apologized that his regular detail guy wasn’t there to give it a good cleaning but I told him no worries because I didn’t expect it to be cleaned anyway!
If you want quality, honesty and respect, this is the place to have your car repaired. I went in with a dirty banged up car and left with a shiny clean repaired one that looked better than before I got into the accident!

Best auto repair service I have ever experienced! Owner is customer service oriented and my car was back in 2 days. Even fixed overspray on my door handle that another auto repair shop had left.

I grew up in an auto-​body family, so naturally, I am very discerning when it comes to any work performed on my cars. I was blown away by the service and work. A+ hands down. Clean waiting room and honest work — what a concept in the industry.

Jay the owner is the man. He treated me so kindly especially after my car accident. He is personable and likeable. He is the one I will always take my car to. Well, let me take that back. I ran my Toyota Sienna over a big boulder on the street, it got caught underneath my front bumper and tore off the entire right side of it. My husband and I expected that we might need to get it replaced and was stressed about the cost that would incur. I don’t know much about cars, but it looked like it was in pretty bad shape with the bumper hanging off the front. I took my car into Jay this morning after seeing his 5-​star reviews on Unilocal,and to my surprise he told me he could just pop it back in and secure it all for $ 70! Hallelujah! The process took just 45 minutes and my car looks just as good as new. Well, aside from the scratches along the front caused by my mishap, which Jay offered to paint over at no cost if I pick up some paint from my toyota dealer!
I expected a day of running around getting quotes, having to rent a car for a week, and forking over lots of $$$, but thankfully it was a quick and pleasant experience!
Jay was friendly and professional, their waiting area is nicer than my living room, and I would highly recommend this place!

Jay, the owner, is awesome. They just opened at this new location and the shop is very clean, sleek and nice. It’s in the back corner of the lot where you see all the auto body shops at the entrance. I would highly recommend this shop to anyone for all their needs. Tony, one of the technicians, was very informative and efficient. Jay has been in the auto body shop business for over 20 years and does high caliber work. His wife, Carrie, is very sweet as well. I saw her sweeping and cleaning the shop and then helping at reception. Support local family-​owned businesses and visit this shop! Highly recommended!

Brought in my 2010 Prius for some collision repair and couldn’t be more satisfied. Absolutely professional, «like new» repair, and equally important — the friendliest, caring and most available customer service I experienced in the field.
While in repair, they took care of a few older dents — same here — looks like new and no signs of repair or stains event though they had to take off (white) interior panels to push out those dents.
Got the car back perfectly cleaned and detailed — even the wiper fluid has a scent the first time in this car’s life.

Brought my car in for a quote on some driver side damage. He was super personable and thorough. Told me I would have to replace the entire door because just the panel was not available and assured me that he only orders parts from Subaru. After visiting a couple other places, I decided on his shop. I dropped it off on Friday and it was done the following Friday just as he promised. My car looks brand new and even has the new car smell!

I was extremely anxious about taking my car «into the shop». I was hit about a month ago in a parking lot receiving a nasty dent on my driver’s side door.
My insurance had emailed me a list of potential auto body service companies but having never dealt with this sort of thing before, I asked around. My best friend highly recommended the services of Jay and Joe and the crew and I was relieved IMMEDIATELY after speaking to Jay for the first time. I can’t say enough good things about this operation. Extremely helpful and friendly, Jay explained every step of the process and arranged for transportation to the rental car company down the street and my car was finished in the time frame AS PROMISED looking like it was brand new (At least on THAT side of the car since it’s an ’04).
THEN, After picking it up, I noticed that the door was bringing in a lot of wind-​noise when I drove it at high speed. I reluctantly called back and this time spoke to Joe who was equally as pleasant as Jay. I was told to bring the car back and let the actual repair-​man who worked on my car take a test-​drive with me so he could diagnose the problem. What a sweetheart! He knew exactly what the problem was right a way and I made arrangements to bring my car back a few days later so that they could adjust the rubber strip around the door (which had been replaced).
AND when I took my car back the second time, not only did Jay’s very kind and sweet wife drive me to work, a few hours later she showed up to deliver it back to me, fixed and as good as new!
I highly recommend this company!!!

Jay is great! I have taken my car there my sister-​in-​law took her car here and my father-​in-​law has now taken his car here. He does great work. I will defiantly take my car back here.
