This shop is absolutely the best. They are so honest and have fair pricing. Whenever they suggest things that need to get replaced, I am always confident that it is something that actually needs to get done. They will often show me the replaced parts so I can see the cracks or whatnot that was wrong with it. They are super friendly and care about their customers.
I once had a problem with my car overheating. Instead of just replacing a bunch of things they took the time to run multiple tests and diagnostics. When that yielded no answer, (as it did at other car shops) instead of guessing what was wrong, they refilled my coolant and asked me to bring it back in 2 weeks or if it started overheating again so they could see what changed. I left and was not charged a thing for half a days work at trying to figure out what was wrong with my car. I brought it back 2 weeks later and they were able to fix it. They are truly there to help you, not to just make money off of you. LOVE THIS PLACE!

Elias is the man! After being recommended to his shop. I cannot say enough about the service. Elias checked my car quicker than other mechanics I’ve visited. He gave me an honest answer to my car’s problem. Trust me this shop will give you an affordable repair!

Was originally recommended to Elias by my boss at the auto body shop I used to work at. He’s done a lot of work for me over the years on the various cars that I’ve owned. In addition I recommended him to my parents and now they don’t take their cars anywhere else to be worked on, which is the same for me. He’s always been reliable and his shop prices are about the best I’ve seen. Anything that goes wrong with any of his work he has taken care of, no questions asked. Probably the most honest mechanic you’ll deal with.

We found E&S by a referral from SmogGuys down the street (another great & honest business) — we own a business and have several work vans that are driven constantly, we also have 3+ personal vehicles that we now ONLY take to E&S, due to the GREAT experiences we’ve had with them.
We’ve been in business since 1998, and have tried many, many auto repair shops, only to be raped, swindled & disappointed — after our first experience with E&S, we were amazed with the good service, honest diagnostics, and quick response.
My only regrets are that it seems the business is becoming popular & more busy — even so, they find the time to handle any appointment we need. Also, I wish they would relocate from the squishy auto strip mall they are currently in. I swear I’m going to run someone over one day: O

WoW!!! I’ve lived in San Jose for 25 years and never met folks as honest and just plain gooooood as E & S! I was referred here by some friends who grew up in SJ.” They said this family will do all they can to get your repair bill down”. Because of the people who referred me, I believed them, and it has turned out to be the best decision I’ve made in years. It has been 2 years now, and Elias has not ever disappointed. I took my Lincoln Aviator 2 other places for an engine problem, & was quoted $ 2,200 by Ford and $ 1,700 by another repair shop. But Elias did it for $ 1,500 and on-​time! My SUV has been running smoothly for many months now.
E&S also helped us with repairs on a car to donate to a refugee family, again, looking for every way possible to keep costs down, but still perform quality work (again, an engine problem). They came through for this struggling family. E&S doesn’t do a cheap job, but they are excellent at working through it all with you to decide on re-​built parts, new parts, etc.

I highly recommend E&S Automotive. I’ve been bringing my car to Elias for several years now… the service has been excellent, the prices are fair and his work is prompt. Because of this great service, I don’t mind driving from Milpitas. As with the other reviewers, as a female, I know that I’m not getting the runaround or being overcharged for unnecessary repairs! They are the best!

E&S is the only place where I take my car for repair. It is the best auto repair shop I’ve found in San Jose.
One of the owners, Elias (e-​Lee-​uhs) is very polite and knowledgeable. He always fixes my car in a timely fashion and for a great price! He doesn’t overcharge like at other places, but is fair and honest so his customers will keep returning.
My boyfriend introduced me to this place. His entire family has been coming to E&S for years. His sister-in-law’s dad literally comes all the way from Newark to get his vehicles repaired! We don’t trust our cars to anyone else.
Once, when one of the mechanics made a mistake, I told Elias who immediately fixed the problem himself, no questions asked (and at no charge, of course.)
I recommend coming here to get your car fixed if you want the work done by someone you can trust.

Elies is great and always forward with me. Never been talk down to or felt dumb about him. He’s been honest with me and fair. His humor tends to ease the stress of getting a car fixed as well. RIDE ON…

I always go to these guys they are really good and well rounded always tell me whats wrong and speaks to me in words I understand. Not like most places where they try to confuse me then talk to down to me when I ask things just becasue I am female. These guys are the best at what they do and they have great customer service.
