Dan did a wonderful job officiating our wedding in October 2015 in Palo Alto. He exceeded all of our expectations for an officiant. We found him on Unilocal,and the great reviews were completely accurate. Dan responded very quickly to our initial inquiry. When we met with him, he clearly explained the options for the ceremony and the process for getting the marriage license. We chose a simple, short ceremony and added our own vows. Dan provided many options for readings and poems. He checked in with us closer to the wedding to confirm all the details of the ceremony. On the day of our wedding, Dan arrived on time and made sure we had our license, rings, vows, etc. Dan performed a very warm, heartfelt, and humorous ceremony. He helped guide us through the ceremony so that everything went smoothly. Many guests (and even several vendors) complimented him afterward. After the wedding, he submitted the marriage license and emailed us with an update. The entire process of working with Dan was very easy and pleasant. Do yourself a favor and contact him!

We got married on 31^st of October in Redwood City. Due to unexpected hot weather we had to cut our ceremony to 20 minutes instead of 40 minutes. We didn’t mind because it wasn’t comfortable walking and standing out on a very warm day. Overall experience with Dan was great. He showed up on time and was very professional. We can tell that he was concerned about us and also to all of our 80+ guests that was there to witnessed our vows. My husband and I recently used Dan as our officiant for our wedding in Livermore. From our first meeting, he was clear, concise, and to the point, about the services that he offered. He was easy to contact, and able to answer any questions that we had leading up to the ceremony. He was able to provide the simple and meaningful ceremony that we were after. We got many comments from our guests about how much they liked the ceremony and Dan as an officiant.
One of my favorite parts of the ceremony was when Dan invited all married couples to silently renew their vows as we recited ours. It was truly a touching moment.

I found Dan on Unilocal and am so glad I did! My now husband and I were looking into finding an officiant because my best friend whom I wanted was delegated to MOH duties instead and it would be weird for her to try to be both. I Unilocaled «officiant» and Dan’s page came up with great reviews. I went on his website, saw one of the videos he presided over and knew this is who I wanted. He was just so inspirational! I remember watching the video, being moved, and thinking «that’s what I want for the wedding!»
We reached out to Dan whom was super responsive via email. Set up a meeting and booked him right away. During our initial meeting, Dan was superbly kind and professional, he helped lay out everything to expect and different options we could think about for our wedding.
After booking him, I would occasionally shoot him ideas via email and he always responded with feedback and advice.
He followed up with us leading up to our wedding to make sure we had everything we needed in order.
And most important of all, during the ceremony, he was everything I’d imagine. He really moved my husband and I and helped us feel like it was a genuine, loving experience. I was most excited about my ceremony and vows (more so than our party reception) and Dan didn’t let us down.
He got our marriage license in order, personally submitted it, and emailed us an update on its status.
All in all, it was a perfect decision to have Dan be our officiant.

Mr. Kennedy is a great marriage officiant. He puts together a great and meaningful marriage ceremony! He officiated my marriage and many of my guests complimented me on the wedding ceremony. I highly recommend him!

Dan officiated our wedding this past week and I have mostly positive things to say about his service. His calm yet authoritative voice was exactly what we were looking for and his flexible ceremony format provided us with plenty of options to customize our special day. His fee was also fairly reasonable and he was generous with his time whenever we asked to have a conference call to go over various details.
My only feedback would be that be sure to insist on having him at your rehearsal, or ask to walk through the entire ceremony verbiage with him at least once beforehand and ask Dan to pay special attention to when various items will be changing hands. For our wedding, we decided not to have Dan attend the ceremony to save a bit of money (we were way over budget), but that led to a few mistakes during the event. Dan tripped over the ring exchange vows and had to start over again, and he asked for the bride’s bouquet at the beginning of the ceremony, not knowing that we had arranged for one of our flower girls to come and take it away at a later point in the ceremony.
But anyway. Over all, I would still recommend Dan, but be sure to run through the ceremony with him in great detail and pay special attention to when various things will change hands.

Dan Was an amazing officiant for our wedding. From the beginning of our initial meeting to the very end our ceremony, Dan was extremely professional and was very insightful. His knowledge and experience made this part of the planning process a very easy one. He answered every question we had promptly, provided a variety of suggestions for the ceremony, and really gave us a breakdown of what we were going to do with a detailed timeline of it all. I highly suggest anyone looking for an officiant to go with Dan Kennedy.

Dan was the officiant at our non religious wedding, and it was the perfect ceremony! After the ceremony I had guests come up to me and repeatedly tell me that the ceremony was absolutely perfect and was exactly what they wanted when they got married!
Your marriage license is one of the most important aspects you need to worry about at your wedding, but just book with Dan and you can just stop worrying. He will make the whole process incredibly easy and straightforward!
Dan was extremely easy to contact, which is incredibly important when you’re juggling different vendors. He started by letting us know all the information up front, and arranged a meeting with us that suited our schedule since we were coming from Texas. At that meeting he was very early and had a whole informational packet that detailed the whole process of getting a marriage license for us. He emphasized what was important and went over the timeline with us. He also had informational packets of what kind of ceremony and add ons we wanted. He had samples of passages we might want him to read too! Putting together our ceremony could NOT have been easier! We had a short and simple ceremony, and he talked the perfect amount since it was hot out that day. He said super sweet things about the significance of marriage and about the rings. We had our own vows and even without rehearsing with him, it was super easy to follow his lead and the whole ceremony went smoothly. He was also so conscious of my dress and made sure that my MOH fixed my dress to look beautiful before he started. That was amazing! He also made getting our marriage license so easy. He submitted our paperwork for the license right after our wedding and we could pick up the certified copies right away! We are so glad we hired Dan!

Dan was our officiant for our wedding last Friday. From the start he was amazing, we had one meeting with him (I was late, but he didn’t get upset) we instantly booked him right then and there.
He had a packet of all the information need, sample ceremonies, outline of ceremonies, marriage license information, and even an envelope with a stamp. None of our vendors did that.
During the wedding planning I was so worried about the wording for the filipino traditions we were incorporating in our ceremony. I wish I stopped obsessing over it and knew Dan had it handled.
The day of the wedding my husband and I were a ball of nerves but once we got in front of him, he most definitely put us both at ease with his kind smile and voice. He arrived on time and dress professionally.
During the ceremony he was funny, sensitive and professional. I was a bit nervous because we wanted to incorporate our filipino traditions and didn’t know how he would handle it, he handled it most fabulously and with the utmost respect for our traditions. I was mostly worried about my mother and mother in law, but they both told us Dan was an amazing officiant. Our guests thought our ceremony was intimate and beautiful and our officiant was the best.

We invited Dan to be our officiant of civil ceremony. He did a fantastic job! A few days prior to the ceremony, we met and he went through the procedures and let us know what to expect. We wanted it simple but we ended up having a few friends coming over. He arranged it well. During the ceremony, his guidance made us less nervous and more focus on each other.
In general, Dan is very easy to work with and thoughtful for our requirements. He is also good at dealing with mix cultures. We would recommend him to others.

Dan was awesome. He came recommended by the Freedom Hall where our wedding took place, but I also found him on Unilocal.He was very professional and completely guided us through the whole process. He had many wonderful suggestions for the ceremony and completely understood what we wanted for ours. I felt very guided throughout the ceremony so we knew exactly what to say. Our guests were so moved by some of the readings he did and we received many compliments on Dan and the ceremony as a whole. He was very quick about our license and made sure that it was done correctly. I absolutely loved having Dan as our Officiant, he was a pleasure to work with!

Five Stars is simply the norm for Dan. Should have Diamonds or Galactic Bodies. Gave him a call, left him a short voice mail, called us back, he was very inviting compassionate with our needs. He understood our situation as if he was family. Didn’t one bit seem as if we were a burden even though we were on shorter than normal notice. Then on our wedding day, he arrived as if he knew the entire agenda.
Plus:
when the DJs lapel microphone began to cut in and out on the alter, he didn’t bat an eyelash or make it a big deal. He proceeded as if all was normal.
his speech was heartfelt and meaningful, almost as if he spent the entire week rehearsing it, but not the slightest bit scripted. (Except for the ‘by the power vested… part)
Side note: He handled the county clerks office and all that jazz the following day. And was in total communiqué the whole time.

We were so lucky to have Dan as our wedding minister, and he gave us a touching and happy wedding.
The first time we talked with Dan, we could tell he is the right person. He was very kind to explain every detail in the ceremony and provided us a lot of suggestions. Imagine how nervous my husband and I were at that time when we only had around one month to prepare the wedding and we knew nothing about how to arrange it. And the talk with him really was a great relief.
Dan was very professional. He arrived early on the wedding day with his robe as we expected. And the entire ceremony was navigated by him with laugh and moving moments. Dan is so good at relaxing people that both my husband and I didn’t feel nervous at all, and we both enjoyed ourselves a lot. He really knows how to make it your own wedding — enjoyable customized wedding!
Another thing I have to mention is about wedding license! After we finished the paper work, Dan helped us dropping the documents to the county office. We thought we would get ours on the day that Dan mentioned in his email. However, the clerk in the office couldn’t find our profile. Thanks to Dan’s help the problem has been resolved, which was because of the misfiling of the clerk. Dan is so responsive and helpful. He is definitely far better than five-​star!

Dan was our wedding officiant. He is very professional and kind.
We found Dan on Unilocal a month before our wedding day. He immediately arrange a meeting with me and my husband going through the ceremony details. He tried his best to tailor the ceremony based on our requirements. Gave us valuable suggestions and ideas. He also prepared some printouts for us as examples.
On the wedding day, Dan dressed up properly and arrived on time. He did such a great job that our guests were so moved. The ceremony was beautiful! I would like to thank Dan and would recommend him to everyone!

Last Sunday, our wedding in the Mountain Winery, we had Dan as our officiant. It was definitely a right choice we made. Dan was very professional. My hunsband and I both loved his style — humorous and also formal. He carried out the whole event in a very nature and special way. He was also very good at navigating us through the ceremony, and we were not nervous at all. Dan did not request us to write him a 5 star review, but we think his work definitely worth our time for the compliments :)

We are so happy we found Dan for our wedding. He was amazing to work with. We actually found him on Unilocal and all the other great reviews are spot on! He made us (my husband and I) and all of our guest laugh during the ceremony, which is difficult to do!
Mostly, we really loved that he listened to what we envisioned and made it happen. He has so many wonderful options but only incorporated the ones we specifically wanted. Our guests really enjoyed the ceremony thanks to Dan– we received many compliments for days to come after. Highly recommended!

We were so lucky and blessed to have Dan be the officiant of our wedding. About 3 weeks before our wedding the friend that was going to be our officiant told us he was not going to do it anymore. We were very upset at this last minute drop out and I was rushing to find someone that would not only do a good job but we could connect with. I saw Dan on Unilocal and visited his website. I loved the videos that were posted. We set up a meeting the next day. I knew immediately that he was perfect to do our wedding. He made you feel comfortable, was very personable and had a sense of humor (a must in my book) He went over everything about what we wanted for our Hawaiian wedding and addressed all our questions and concerns. He was in constant contact with us and ran over everything a few days before our wedding. The service was great. He added so many personal touches to his delivery.
Let me say, I originally had a whole script of the service, but threw it out the window (except for the lei ceremony which was new to him) because his delivery was better than I could ever script. He will follow what you want, but do trust him to be amazing at what he does. He is not a cookie cutter officiant and he will make your day personalized and special. Thank you Dan for saving our wedding. It was like having part of the family there. Will post some pics when they come in.

He was super professional and had all the right answers to our questions and concerns. He was mindful of the type of ceremony that we wanted to have, and gave very relevant suggestions.
Communicating with him was a breeze. He made sure that we knew what we needed to do from a legal standpoint and made sure we understood the portion he would personally take care of.
The ceremony itself was fantastic. He has a script that he will prepare and review with you. If you want him to stick to it he will. But I would highly suggest that you allow Dan to do his thing. He mentioned that he likes to read the crowd and customize the ceremony accordingly. The words that Dan spoke at our ceremony was nothing short of amazing and completely fitting to our venue and accommodating to the guest attending our wedding.
I would highly recommend Dan to officiate one of the most important moments of your life. You will not be disappointed :)

Dan Kennedy was so accommodating with our desire to have a «surprise» wedding at a gathering that was to be my (now) husband’s birthday party. He guided me through what was necessary (wedding license) and rolled with the flow when I said they word «obey» was to be no where in the ceremony. And he even showed up in a beach shirt and blue jeans (per our request) for our beach-​themed event. Everyone wanted him to stay after the ceremony as his personality (and smile) is so sincere and friendly. Dan took so much of the stress of a wedding out of our special event. I highly recommend Dan Kennedy for anyone who wants a truly genuine marriage ceremony.
