Curtner Union Smog Check

First time here. I got a SMOG check, without an appointment, and it was completed in 15 minutes. Also, very good price for SMOG here. This is a full service garage, and I might check it out one day because I really liked dealing with Tam.

I came in today (on a Sunday) after finding another location was closed. They were super nice and saw me right away. The whole thing took 15 min. I really appreciated how well they treated me and my time. These guys were great!

Was having issues with my SUV. Had my car looked at other places saying it was a transmission issue and said to expect to pay 4k for replacement/​repair. Since this place said they service transmission I figured I’d ask to see the costs and turn around.
Brought my car over met the gentleman. Was friendly and honest. I was actually referred to him earlier for other items since I get my oil change across the street from them. Long story short, Tam looked at my car found out that it was. It a transmission issue and saved me a ton of money. The issue ended up to be my alternator. I am so relieved and happy. I think I just found my go to mechanic to help me service car for now on.
Costs for fixing was reasonable, fast, and was updated each day on the work of my car. Tam fixed a few other things that needed to be fixed immediately and also gave me suggestion to prolong the life of my car. I appreciate his honesty and hard work. 5 stars in my book!!!

Called ahead and asked if they would perform a smog in my 88 Honda CRX, since they are block away from my home, said no problem over the phone. Car has Carb legal headers and intake. Lazy technician decided to send me to refer to another shop 9 miles away, because as he put it «I do not know about those things» and most likely because he is too lazy to look up the carb Id’s which he does not have to. Waste of time, only looking to make the most amount of money for the shortest amount of work required. Car passed smog at a different place with flying colors as it always does.

Sweetest man ever! Made it so easy! I called and he told me to come right away and I did and he had it done within 10 minutes! Would recommend!

Very honest and strait forward. I needed a smog to sell my car. It’s a 1995 which adds more fees and instead of promising unrealistic prices he was up front with pricing and took my car in with no hastle

brought my car here for tune-​up and smog, they are very friendly, honest, and reasonably price. A lot of the service that my car does not need a repair, they tell you so. definitely be back.

So my girlfriend drives a Scion, and she just happens to be one of those people who never maintains her car… it was inevitable that trouble as bound to occur.
Now, have you ever had a mechanic that you couldn’t understand due to language barrier? Or did not fully explained to you what was happening to your beautiful car? Or you just did not fully trust as much? Or the value charge was like $$$$?
No, you won’t find that here! Tam fully explained and performed service on my gf’s vehicle and brought it back from its horrible state. Now it run clunk free and smoothly after he did all the maintenance and changes. He gave us options to choose from what part we wanted to use in our vehicle, advise us on what was necessary and unnecessary, and just guide us along.
He was honest, patient, and nice throughout this process. Answered all my questions and was very knowledgeable. I think it makes me feel very comfortable to see all his licenses displayed on his store wall and having talked to him and finding out his background as a former mechanic for some big name dealerships, thus meaning he is… LEGIT.

Nice, friendly, genuine, and honest. Sprung a radiator leak on my Lexus IS on a Saturday night and thank gawd the place was open 7 days a week! (Lifesaver). He was able to get the authentic part the next morning and change it out, basically my car was done the next day!
He worked with me to see what price options I had and advise me on what was reasonable. No pressure, and genuinely honest!
P. s. BTW, he does smog too. Will be taking my car back for a tune up!

Smog check in under 15mins. This shop opens on Sundays too. Quick, friendly, and reliable service. NICE.
