Dr. Seyedeh «Nina» Ghazanfari earned her DDS with honors in 1996, then continued postgraduate work in orthodontics, endodontics, Lumineers, laser dentistry, and cosmetic dentistry. She has a teaching background in oral health, public health, and prevention, so she strongly believes in and promotes patient education. Dr. Ghazanfari is certified in Invisalign, laser dentistry, and Lumineers.

Dr. Ghazanfari has been in private practice since 1996 and has owned two dental practices. She served as a Director of Oral Public Health for three years and has also lectured to and instructed dentists, hygienists, and other healthcare providers at more than 60 events. For the World Health Organization, Dr. Ghazanfari has conducted several public health research projects.

Dr. Nina is by far the best dentist I have ever been to. She is very professional, kind and good humored. Dr. Nina is also very skilled and comforting. I’ve been going to Dr. Nina for 2 years now, and I would never go anywhere else! Her assistant, Maryam is very helpful, through and informative. This is a five star dental office. There is no need to look any further for a dentist!

I wish I could give a chance to give 10 star to Dr Nina and her assistant Mariam. I met with them almost 1 month ago and they are like a miracle. I had a dentist phobia for many years and my wife persuaded me to see Dr. Nina. I was so nervous and grumpy but after I experienced their attitude and professionalism, I became relaxed. They are super kind and polite and know how to treat their patients with care and expertise. With their expert care, I will have great teeth in the near future. I can not imagine to go to any other dentist the rest of my life. Thank you so much for all Dr Nina and Mariam!

Staff is very nice and very flexible to work with my schedule which is very important to me. I have been seeing Dr Nina for a about 2 years and I can tell she really cares for her patients, which is rare these days.

I called to see this doctor because I had tooth pain which they categorized as an emergency and that the doctor is away suggesting that I see a doctor in the same building for no fees until the Dr comes back. I did that and saw this doctor called Dr Yousefzadeh located in the same building hoping that I would get something to relieve my pain while I wait for Dr Nina to comeback from where ever she went. You guessed it, I got ripped of! I got a bill from my insurance company that I have had an emergency visit to Dr Yousef when in contrary to what I was informed by Dr Nina’s office. SO WATCH OUT! DO NOT BELIEVE EVERYTHING THIS OFFICE TELLS YOU! At least other dental offices are honest to let you know what bill to expect or whether it is free or not!

So I was surprised the doctor called me and apologized for the mishap and offered me a free whitening.
I was pleasently surprised and decided to go for it.
Excellent service Dr Nina is pleasent and nice personality.
I particularly enjoyed the Pandora music playing 80’s rock– personal favorite.
Dr Nina examined me and performed a cleaning. She also explained what was happening and what was about to happen.
Marianne performed the whitening– she was nice and courteous. Explaining everything as she went along.
They did an excellent job I went from an A2 to a B2. A noticeable difference which she shows you by comparing the before and after pictures.
I would highly recommend Dr Nina and her staff.

I have been coming to Dr. Nina since 2007 and cannot say enough good things about her! She is very professional and knowledgeable and explains all procedures in detail.
For treatments that require numbing, she asks constantly for pain levels and our comfort level.
On my first visit back in 2007 she pointed out 12 cavities and that is despite me going to a dentist regularly prior to coming to her. She showed them to me on the x-​rays so there was no confusion. Once she fixed those 12 cavities, I haven’t had any more issues and have only been going to her for regular cleanings and deep cleaning every 2 years. I feel like my gums and teeth are in great health, thanks to Dr. Nina!
More recently I went through the Invisalign treatment where she was there to answer any questions/​concerns regarding the treatment. There were no hidden fees and I am very happy with the results. Not only are my teeth straightened but my whole smile is brightened up! I feel much more confident when traveling for work and conducting my presentations.
My ex-​husband also opted for the Invisalign treatment to fix the gap between his teeth and he is just as ecstatic as I am.
Dr.Nina is by far the best dentist I have been to and I am currently making the drive from Antioch to come see her. I would highly recommend her services to everyone!

Both my husband and I bought the Groupon ZOOM whitening deal and we thought all the staff were brilliant. They were very knowledgeable and thorough. They wanted to make sure we were totally happy with our treatment. Dr Nina even spent extra time with me talking with me about cracked teeth and cavities I had that my own dentist had missed! She took pictures for me and showed me where the cracks were and talked about having my cavities filled. We were both really impressed with the service and treatment there and when we need to change dentist we will definitely look to move there!

Well I came in for a Zoom! whitening Groupon deal and enjoyed my visit! Maryam polished my teeth, she is really friendly and careful– making sure to ask me if I was in pain and if everything was ok (I have sensitive teeth). Dr Nina herself came in to meet me and do a cleaning too (helps whitening work better). She is very detailed, found multiple tiny cavities that previous dentists have missed and suggested for us to keep an eye on them (not go crazy and fill them all just to make money). I didn’t have to wait, everyone was on time and the whole visit went smoothly, plus everyone is cheerful and friendly. Looks like I have a new dentist!

My family of four have been patients of Dr. Nina Ghazanfari for over 5 years! I’m very pleased with her work! I have had many dental work done, from simple fillings, to root canals and crowns. My most recent was my Invisalign, which I just completed and now waiting for my permanent retainer! I’m so happy I made the decision to perfect my smile! In addition to my success stories, On 7÷15÷13 my 5 year old son had to have a baby root canal and fillings done on his two front teeth that were decayed. I was really nervous about it at first, because of his age and wasn’t sure he was going to sit still during the procedure. To my surprise, Dr. Nina Ghazanfari was able to do both teeth at the same time without any problems! Her sweet, caring way of handling my child, explaining to him every step of what she was going to do next, at a 5yr old level worked wonders!!! I was totally impressed with her and how much my son trusts her and still comfortable with every dentist appointments! My 13 year old son just got his braces a few months back and again Dr. Ghazanfari did an excellent job on educating him on the benefits of having braces and how to properly care for them! As you can tell, we will be lifetime patients of Dr. Nina Ghazanfari, even though we’ve moved to Hayward 5 months ago, we will continue to drive to San Jose to get excellent and professional care by her!

EDUCATED, PROFESSIONAL, & COMPETENT
After leaving my previous dentist for less than satisfactory work, I visited several dental offices in San Jose looking for a competent dentist. When I met Dr. Nina Ghanzanfari, it was clear that she was highly educated, professional, and competent.
Since then, I have had a lot of dental work done on repairing faulty crowns and cavities. Each time Dr. Nina takes care to make sure there is no pain involved in the procedure. The patient’s comfort is always a primary concern for her. Beyond that, she is a thorough dentist. She won’t miss anything, and will tell you the facts about your teeth, so you can make an informed decision. Also, several times she has been able to repair various teeth without having to go the extra step of having to do a root canal.
The prices here are fair, and they are willing to work with established patients on payment plans. Overall, if you are looking for competent, professional, and caring dentist, I highly recommend Dr. Nina Ghanzanfari.

I began seeing Dr. Ghazanfari a few weeks ago and find her to be very thorough. I also had seen prior dentist and did not have any cavities reported to me. However, when Nina repaired the teeth there was extensive decay which she showed me hiding under old fillings. Some dentists just don’t have the same standards. I also find her prices fairly standard with some freebies thrown in here and there.
I find her very thorough, experienced, friendly, very patient and very gentle.
I would recommend her to any one seeking quality care.

I have had good experience so far with Doctor Nina and her staff. Had 2 visits and have been treated and informed well. I have had all my questions and doubts answered before doing anything. Even though she has made number of recommendation for my entire dental care she has not tried to push or rush me into any thing unlike other dentists which I have heard about. One star is less only because of the office setup where I would prefer more privacy.

I was a patient of Dr. Nina for three years and was pleased with my overall dental care until I agreed to do the invisalign. Dr. Nina never explained to me the procedure and details of invisalign. I waited almost an hour to be seen and then she filed down the sides of my teeth. I was very unhappy with her care and she was dishonest by omitting details of the invisalign procedure She did give me an extra set of invisaligners but one of my front teeth was not filed correctly and the shape is irregular. Please go to an orthodontist and not a dentist for straightening your teeth.

I have been going to Dr. Nina for over 5 years and she is the best! I have moved to San Francisco and still insist on driving to San Jose because I don’t want to switch dentists.
She is very gentle with cleanings and all the work I have had done. I honestly don’t know why people don’t like going to the dentist. She knows how to make you feel comfortable in the dentist’s chair and is very informative. Her staff is very nice too. Gen always makes time for my busy schedule and is happy to remind me when my cleanings are due!

Dr Ghazanfari is surely a dream come true, for a picky person like me. and I completely trust her to seek the best and be pickier than me on the quality of job offered
I had a major bleeding gum problem, she patiently walked me through different treatments, and I got better and better
I also have a very good experience with the front bridge she helped me with. Again she patiently looked around to find the best lab, talked me through all options I have, and I ended up with a beautiful bridge which most importantly has the best natural look.
All done in the most efficient time

After seeing Dr. Ghazanfari’s ad in the Pennysaver, I thought it was worth it to have a check up.
The location is great; a block away from Valley Fair and easy highway access. Once I entered the office, I can immediately see the dental chairs (that was odd to me; as if you can touch the patient while standing at the front desk. lol). While I was laying down waiting for Dr. Ghazanfari to step in, my husband jokingly texted me, «I bet the dentist will tell you that you need deep cleaning & you have cavities so they can empty your pockets.» I laughed but thought, «I hope not».
Dr. Ghazanfari came in and we talked for a little. She was very nice and very informative. But unfortunately, what my husband joked about came true! I had all these problems (cavities, need deep cleaning, etc.). But a year prior, I went to a dentist in Sunnyvale who did a regular cleaning and didn’t see anything wrong. So I was very overwhelmed with all the info. I asked for an estimate so I can bring home to show my husband, and wow! I had to put on a fake smile while looking at the numbers. I understand that all doctors have their own prices but wow!
