Compliments For Hair

I only go to see Amy K. Since she did my hair for a friend’s wedding, I have driven hours to come and see her before I was able to relocate to the South Bay. Amy has styled my hair from when it was shorter than my ears to down past my shoulder blades, and it looks great every time. I am extremely picky when it comes to my hair, and I will only go to Amy as long as I can.

This review is for Eileen Wells. She has been cutting my hair and highlighting it for years! Each time I go there, I get asked by everyone where I get my hair done. She is very professional and takes her time with each client. Call to get an appointment… she can get very busy!

I got to say, that Amy is the best hair dresser I’ve had in a very long time. I would highly recommend her. She is not only a hairdresser, she is also a makeup artist as well. If anyone wants to really look good, go see Amy. Thanks Amy for making me, who is old enough for be your mom look young! Veronica

Now, the salon looks like the ‘80s threw up all over it, so it’s in desperate need of some changes. Would it really hurt to throw some nice color on the walls and get some new mirrors? Also, puh-​LEASE ditch the fluorescent tube lights… they make me (and my hair) look green.

I wanted to give some excellent feedback for Amy Kistler an awesome hair stylist at Compliments for Hair in San Jose. I get my highlights done with her there and also my wife gets her hair colored as well as a cut with Amy. She always comes through for us every time and keeps us looking young. Amy is easliy liked as a person and a great personality. Most important is she takes care of her clients and extremely professional. I would highly recommend her for any type of cut, coloring or highlights. Thanks Amy for all that you have done for the Delgado’s.

Was in dire of a haircut and decided to check this place out after shopping at the next door Safeway. A little hard to find unless you know where it is, since it’s located behind Safeway and fronting Kirk Road. Looked really dark from the outside, but the inside is nice, clean and spacious. I did not have an appointment, but they took me in as a walk-​in and I waited for «Mary» to arrive. She was an older and pleasant Persian lady. The haircut was fine and I liked that she listened to my request about not cutting too much. Asked for a layered look that could make my hair look fuller and she basically did that. I was pleased.
What I was not pleased about was the cost. $ 50 for a simple haircut and blow dry was more than what I used to pay. I don’t think it was worth that much. However, she did give me some discount cards for future $ 30 haircuts and blow drys.
I will probably not go back again. I prefer this Korean lady at Hair 2000 on Blossom Hill. There she charges $ 40 and really takes her time with my hair and, being Asian herself, I feel that she understands my hair’s structure well.
I think this place is good for older women who like the bouffant, lots of hair spray, big hair look. I saw a lot of women customers there with hair like that. Anyway, three stars for Mary, since she was very pleasant. However, I will not likely see her again. I will stick to my simple haircut of a no — nonsense, wash and wear style with no hairspray at Hair 2000 or maybe even try to find a cheaper place.
