Clean Valley Smog Check

I was bouncing from one smog shop to another trying to get my car smogged when it had «NOT READY» OBDII monitors. Of the previous places I went to, even some reputable places, nobody had any idea what was going on, and they just kept telling me to drive the car some more in the hope that those OBDII monitors switch to «READY».
This shop was the only place that looked into the issue with my car in detail, did some research, and determined that it was a manufacturer defect known to CA BAR and documented at
They advised me that the only place to get my car smogged was at the smog referee, and did not even charge me for their diagnostic.
I went to the smog referee and got my car smogged there.
If you need an experienced smog tech who is willing to look at your problem in depth and get down to the crux of it rather than just some guy who only knows how to follow computer prompts and taking your money, go to this shop and talk to Josh.

Came on a Tuesday night since the Chevron smog check station down the street said their machines were down and this is where they sent me. This place was the only one open past 6pm so I decided to stay. Never again.
First of all, these guys tried to charge me $ 160. Are you kidding me? Their reasons being my car was «too low» and had an «after market cat converter & exhaust». Bullsh*t. I have a ’92 Integra, nothing special. I was still willing to pay and just wanted to be in and out. They gave us an estimate of one hour. We waited and waited… then watched as the drunk workers fist fought and caused a scene. There were open tall cans of beer within visibility to customers, so yes I’m sure they were drunk. Completely unprofessional and pathetic. It took 15 minutes just to pop open the hood of my car, another 30 minutes for a random guy to drop off a jack (seriously, what smog shop doesn’t have a jack?!), another 30 minutes just to start the car, another 30 minutes to get things going, and even more time doing God knows what while three men wasted our time. We were literally the only customers the entire time so there was no reason for them to take over two hours for what would normally take 20 minutes elsewhere. I ended up paying $ 110 which is still RIDICULOUSLY overpriced. Thanks for wasting my time and ripping me off, I would never recommend this sh*thole to anybody.

This place is a joke — it is no bigger than a book of matches and it is filled with junk.
But, the phone number on this page actually is to the Chevron station on the corner of 4^th and Santa Clara. When I went to this location on S. 24^th Street the young guy was like — «Oh our machine is broken you need to go to our other location on 4^th and Santa Clara. Since I had called ahead of time I was like why didn’t you say that when I called. And the young guy said — «what number did you call, you probably were talking to the Chevron» — I told him it was the number on this Unilocal page next to the 373 S 24^th St address, but as it turns out I was talking to the Chevron station. I was not happy to have to go somewhere else, but in the end the Chevron station was pretty fast and efficient. Not necessarily cheap as I paid $ 60.00, but I needed it done and did not have time to shop around for a deal. I would recommend the Chevron location, but not this one on S 24^th St.

Such a great service. I was in & out in 30 minutes. Star Quality Smog Check for 45 $ with smiles and honesty from everyone who worked there. They didn’t accept card at the location I went but Josh was kind enough to drive with me to the other location (4 minute drive) to accept my card, he didn’t make it seem like a hassel at all. I will be recommending this place to every and anyone I can!

the guys here were really good. the location is somewhere else for the star certification, but its not too far away. the guys were nice and hooked it up because i found them through Unilocal.unfortunately for me my car did not pass so now i have to get it checked. i still payed for the check. i know there are some places that dont charge if you dont pass but i decided to go with the best rated place i can find. oh well time to get my car fixed.

Call and ask where they’re located because it’s wrong on Unilocal.It’s actually on the next street over on 24^th. These guys had excellent customer service. The whole smog process was pretty quick. The guys were extremely helpful for my first smog test. They let me know it would be fine and that they’re pretty sure the car would pass and it did! Thanks guys!

Great Unilocal deal! The service was exceptionally courteous and efficient. Two cars in and out in under 30 min for $ 45. Definite repeat for my next smog.

It’s a good and cheap ($ 40)place to have Star smog check. I will recommend my friends to go there. Also give 5 stars for friendly service :)

I finally decided to get a smog check today and I used Unilocal to find this place. The location is a little obscure and is surrounded by a friendly neighborhood. At first look, you may have some doubts but don’t judge a book by its cover is what I would say. The guys who work there are very friendly and helpful. They are willing to answer any questions or concerns you have. The service took less than 15 minutes for my car (1999 Mercedes ML430) and was only $ 35. There could be a wait time depending on how many cars are there before you but feel free to give them a call. My wait time before my car got smog check was probably 10 minutes. I would definitely recommend this place for anyone who wants an affordable smog check & great service with little wait time.

I have been bringing my cars here for two years.
It’s the cheapest place around, but fully certified. They even have the new 2013 «STAR» certification which many shops don’t have yet.
A smog check is a smog check, so why pay twice as much somewhere else?!

Went on a Saturday afternoon, there was no wait. Fifteen minutes and $ 35 later I was on my way home.

If there is a hole in the hole in the wall, this place is it. But don’t be deterred by the looks because this is cheapest and best service around. He is open 7 days a week and will keep you in the loop as well as inform you of what is going on. Check them out and be happy
