Specialties
Equipping people to realize their full potential in Christ.
History
Established in 2000.
Bishop Steve Perea, Senior Pastor of CWC in Manteca, unveiled the vision for the next decade, called «Decade of Dominion,» which included a plan to plant five churches in five cities in the next ten years. This mandate would send a church planting team from Manteca to establish churches in each target city.
CWC of San Jose is the first of those churches that were planted. Pastor Dan Vera led a group of church planters to the eastside of San Jose and on Easter Sunday of 2000 they launched CWC of San Jose. We came to serve a multi-culture, multi-generational and multi-ethnic community. The church grew rapidly as we purposed to «Love God, Love People and Change the World.»
CWC of San Jose became CWC Bay Area when we expanded our influence to the Milpitas community in the fall of 2007. We currently minister at two campuses (North & South) on Sunday mornings. The locations have expanded but the vision remains the same, «to draw people into a growing relationship with God.»
