Scam/​rip off, beware if you don’t know much about cars, Chris will try to take advantage. I contacted Chris about a wiring job on a 1973 bronco. We talked a few times and met in person. He kept making the job sound like it was going to be a hassle, it was to far away for him to drive, (it was only 20min from evergreen where his add is posted) etc. he quoted me what he said was high on a price but that he needs a guarantee that he will at least get that much. So I agreed on his high price. I sent him all the parts I had, instructions so he could review, etc. he knew what he was getting into. he came out to look at it, then he said he needed a day to think about it, then he replies saying he would do that high price but that he wouldn’t complete a few parts he had agreed to do. He basically asked for more money 3 times. The job is about a 10−15hr job to complete, he quoted me about 20hrs. Said he would do it, then said he wouldn’t. He also replied he is to busy to take on this job and that he has the luxury to pick and chose what jobs he wants to take or not. Bottom line, this guy is the classic scam trying to squeeze out every penny, he tries to make the job sound like its hard and complex so he gets paid more. I’m glad I didn’t have him work on my car, I’m sure he would have messed something up and then tried to tack on more price mid project.

Chris was a pleasure to work with. He was punctual, polite and professional. I called and told him the make and year of my truck, and the problem. He showed up with a laptop computer with the full schematics. He found the problem quickly and even went above and beyond the standard repair by ensuring all the other wiring under the truck was safe. I was very impressed and will definitely call him again. I needed a setting on my Audi Q5’s Multimedia Interface tweaked. Rather than bringing it to a dealer and paying ungodly sums of money for a relatively minor job, I found Chris through a web search. He jacked in, made the changes via his VAG-​COM and tablet computer, and I was good in less than one hour. Really convenient that he is mobile. We met in the parking lot of a local Denny’s near a work appointment I had. He showed up early, before our appointment time. Chris is very knowledgeable, polite, and cheerful. I wish all mechanics were like him – but they’re not. Chris has my strongest recommendation.

I needed some electrical work on my VW and it turned out that Chris was the man. He showed up on time and demonstrated interest and curiosity on the problem and some of my initial hypothesis. He was able to troubleshoot the issue relatively quickly and propose a solution.
Overall Chris was professional and competent and I would have not hesitate in either recommending him or using him again (which I already am!). Keep up the good work, Chris!

My car was leaking coolant, and since I didn’t want to pay for a tow I ended up looking for places that I could push my car to or were downhill.
Chris was a third of a mile away, so I gave him a call (on a Saturday morning!) He came and checked out my car in less than 15 minutes, ordered the radiator I needed (and pointed to where coolant was spraying out of it, which I should have spotted on my own frankly) and I had my car back Monday afternoon in great shape.
Professional guy, friendly, and competitive rates! Recommended.

We have an old beat up truck that we kept for hauling yard stuff. Recently, we had problems starting the truck, and finally, the starter unit died completely.
I called Chris to arrange an appointment to come take a look. He said it’s most likely the starter but needs to do a diagnosis to make sure. If it’s a call to come out to take a look, he charges $ 20 for the first 20 min and then $ 50/​hr charge thereafter. Once he finds the problem, he will give a fixed price quote on fixing.
Chris did a very thorough diagnosis, and after 15 min, determined that it was the start unit that had died. We went to kragens and had the starter unit tester, which confirmed Chris’s diagnosis. Chris installed the new starter unit, and we were done. He also changed the battery connectors for me since he said the current ones were in bad shape. He did a great job, and we are happy. His prices are reasonable too! We would hire him again.
