We specialize in residential remodeling, with emphasis on kitchens and baths. However, we also can provide services for additions, renovations and whole house builds. We can offer design build services as well, working with homeowners on layouts and features that are built for their lifestyle. We have Certified Green Building Professionals on staff, as well as experience with green building in real world applications. We are supporters of energy efficiency. We can show you products and designs that can both increase comfort while also lowering your energy consumption.

History

Established in 1994.

Our owner and president, Chris Donatelli, has been working in construction in the South bay Area since 1971. Starting out as a carpenter for his father’s company, «Donatelli & Sons», Chris gained knowledge and experience. Chris became a licensed contractor and took over the family business. In 1994 Chris founded «Donatelli Castillo Builders» with Tony Castillo as a partner. Tony left to pursue his own ventures in 2008, so our name was changed to «Chris Donatelli Builders». Chris, with his years of experience right here in the greater South Bay Area, has maintained a number of relationships in the trades. This includes membership in NARI (National Association of the Remodeling Industry) and ties to many experienced sub-​contractors and respected vendors.

Chris has been involved in construction since his father started the family business in 1975. Chris later took over and then started his own company in 1994, after achieving his «certified remodeler» designation from NARI (National Association of the Remodeling Industry). Chris has since become a Certified Green Building Professional through Build It Green as well as a certified Kitchen & Bath Remodeler through NARI. He regularly contributes to magazine articles and is involved in Green Building education. Chris has led the company to achieving numerous awards, both local and national, and to continued success in providing quality remodeling services. We are proud of the work we do and the repeat clients that continue to come back to work with us.
