Judy P.

Business Owner

Judy is the Owner and a Hearing Instrument Specialist. She also carries her certification in Audioprosthology and is Certified by the National Board in Hearing Instrument Sciences. Judy performs Hearing Evaluations and Consultations, Hearing Aid Fittings and Adjustments, In-House Repairs, and, of course, all of the tasks that come along with being the Business Owner. Judy educates and counsels patients throughout the process on understanding their hearing, obtaining new hearing aids, as well as on the ongoing care and preventative maintenance needed for the instruments to work well. Judy has accumulated a very loyal client base as a result of the excellent care that she has extended to her patients since she first started Center for Better Hearing Aids, Inc. in 1989.

Excellent service and, surprisingly, often for free. I had a hearing aid that needed cleaning and started looking for places. I was getting estimates up to $ 150 (Willow Glen), which seemed high; when I followed a recommendation from a friend to go to Center For Better Hearing Aids, I was charged a mere $ 10.
Eventually, the old hearing aid went south, and I have since bought — over a couple of years — two hearing aids from CFBHA. Whenever I go in, the service is cheerful and prompt. If a part is needed, the charges are reasonable and the work gets done as quickly as the industry allows. (CFBHA, after all, is at the mercy of whatever suppliers they work with.) And when I go in with a hearing aid clogged by wax (as I did this morning), the service is cheerful, quick and free. Plus, their Keurig coffee machine serves me well while I wait. Great place.

Went in for hearing test today, but seemed equipment malfunctioned… have to reconfirm results elsewhere. Decided to go through my ENT specialist… A second opinion about purchasing anything expensive is always something I do. that includes medical/physicians, insurance providers and car mechanics. Seniors can never be too careful! Some times things are not always what they seem. We seniors can be more vulnerable than others.

I bought a hearing aid over the internet. The battery door broke off so I emailed if they will repair it. They said come on in. I went there, they didn’t have the part in stock but called manufacturer. Ordered a new door, it will take a week. No pressure to order a new hearing aid unlike other places I have gone.

I visited this place with my parents and we went in to have a hearing test for my father. We had the test and then wanted to get the information regarding my parents medical insurance and medicare and what portion each would pay if any. They told us they would get this information and get back to us as quickly as possible. It has been over a month and no response. We called back to follow up and they informed us that they have no information for my dad or any information of our visit. I understand things happen but how do you lose everything. We have since taken our business elsewhere.

I do not like to post negative reviews and usually, although the service was bad, I’d rather just not go back there again. However, in this case, not only was the service bad, we are stuck with having to deal with them till the one year warranty expires. This involves a hearing aid ordered four months ago that was not working properly when received and had to be sent back. You’d think that they would expedite this correction since being able to hear is important. It took weeks, then when picked up, the batteries were dead, Went back and replacement batteries were also dead, then went back again and was given the wrong batteries, then went back yet again, and was told they couldn’t help cause the person handling the case was not there. Because of the problem with the batteries, it is still unknown if the hearing aid will work properly. Although the hearing aid is paid for, it has been four months and still no working hearing aid. I would not recommend this hearing aid facility.
