This place use to have the best carnitas, not any more. They need to go back to their old way of preparing them or they are going to lose business.

We ordered via doordash and the food arrived hot, fresh, and delicious. We had chicken fajitas and fish tacos. I will definitely order from here again.

Small family run joint, the owner is also the only server I have seen. Nothing fancy but a very good little Mexican place. Love the mole and the owner started carrying bottled Coke because I kept asking for it. Highly recommended if you just was a good home cooking style Mexican place.

Always good food and great service. Easy parking. Would have given 5 stars but portions have been cut back quite a bit. But, food always fresh and hot. Great salsa.

I love this place! My very favorite burrito spot. Quaint, quiet, local. Friendly environment.

The food was ok. The grande burrito was dry, agua de horchata was watered down, and torta was average. I live less than half a mile away and would prefer to drive further for better food. Not impressed.

Great place for Mexican and good search g size. I ordered from their lunch special combinations, chile relleno with a quesadilla for only $ 8.99. The Chile Relleno was perfect ! Not too big and not over battered Kirk other places. I got pretty full for this portion sizes, not too little not too much. Service is friendly and welcoming. I love how they don’t constantly play mariachi music but more like lounging Latino music. Nice place to have lunch. Will definitely be back whenever I am in the area.

Friendly and best authentic Mexican food in south San Jose. Been here for 15 years and this is one of our favorites. The chile rellenos and chicken enchiladas are normally the best. I tried the new cilantro shrimp. Mmmm very pleasant and satisfying.

Amazing food. Had the tacos with pineapple. Very spicy tonight. Ordered a tamale a la carte. Best tamale I’ve had in a long time. Husband had chicken mole. Wow! It was great. Very flavorful. We’ve found our new favorite Mexican restaurant. Dining area isn’t very big so if you have a big group call ahead so they can set up for you.

Great food! One issue I always have with Mexican restaurants is the depth of flavor the meats, Casa Teresa was the exception. VERY flavorful, my husband and I had a pork tamale, beef enchilada and chicken burrito ! All were great! The chips what I found out they make are possibly the best tortilla ever!

Chips and salsa are excellent. Many different options to chose from that are all so delicious and made with high quality food. Tastes amazing. The service is great. Probably my favorite mexican food in the whole area. Keep up the good work guys!

Solidly good Mexican food. The owner is friendly, the atmosphere is clean and welcoming, and the food is good. i judge a lot of my opinion on Mexican cuisine by the beans and the salsa, because they are humble good representations of the rest of the dishes. Beans are flavorful with a nice consistency. Rice is a little bland in comparison. Salsa is great although the size of the chopped onion is a little hard to maneuver if you are trying to avoid really bad breath. Portions are nice. Beef fajitas were tender. Chimichanga managed to not be too greasy. Enchiladas suizas could have a little more tomatillo zing, and shouldn’t have guacamole on them by tradition. I’ll definitely go back.

I’m a big fan of Casa Teresa. Moved nearby about two years ago and stop through once a month on average. I love their chips and salsa, shredded chicken quesadillas, and enchilada suizas(not sure on spelling). It isn’t fine dining, but the food is good and the staff is friendly. Go check them out!

Everytime I visit here, the chips are warm, the salsa is great, and their crunchy tacos are delicious! The service is ok, but the food is the reason to go to Casa Teresa. I have never been disappointed.

Small shopping center location, the chips and salsa were good. The food was just ok, there are better spots in San Jose.

Haven’t been to this place in years! Randomly had a lunch date today here & it was amazing! I haven’t had good al pastor tacos since I was in Mexico over the summer! Great fast service, pricing, & food. My fiancé & I went here on a Friday night & there was no wait. The food was very fresh & delicious. We really enjoyed it here.

OVERPRICED! I had seen the waitress pour out my two orders of Horchata out of a Blue Kern. Horchata Carton… price at $ 3.24 Each… I could have just bought that at Nob Hill next door. Tamales taste very bland along with their Rice & Bean. I bought my girlfriend an order of Fish Tacos & she stated that the Fish did not taste fresh. To be very frank you are way better off going to Chavez Market a mile & half down away on Blossom Hill Rd.

Chicken Enchilada with Flour Tortilla. Hands down. This tastes so authentic, as authentic as I can understand about Mexican cuisines… but it’s so good and simple. Unlike the Enchiladas from major chains or made at home using canned sauce, I felt like someone’s Mexican Grandmother made this for me. It’s a great cheap snack $ 3 – 4 a la carte. Don’t stuff your face, enjoy this slowly. Love it.

I had lunch here a few days ago with my co-workers. This was one of the better Mexican restaurants in the South San Jose area. I ordered the Enchilada’s lunch special. While we waited for our food, I snacked on the chips and salsa. When the food came out, I thought it wasn’t a huge portion, but just right. I enjoyed finishing the whole portion and I was so stuffed. The waiter was very friendly, the food tasted great, and the portions were just right for the price.

Sorry, I’m a fan of local mom and pop places, but they have to show the love with their food to get repeat business. I thought the salsa and chips were good, but everything else disappointed me. First, service is very slow. It would be fine if the place were packed, but there were only a few patrons and still we waited and wondered if someone was going to bring us a menu or if we had to go up and order. Second, the food was just bland. I don’t know how you make an enchilada plate boring, but it was. There was almost no flavor in the red sauce, and the beans and rice tasted like they were just boiled. There’s so many taqueria style places around here that have awesome food that there’s no point going to something sub-mediocre like this.
