Bond Pavement Solutions

I am the President of a small homeowner’s association and Travis Bond replaced our entire driveway in 2006. I have been in Real Estate for many years as well as some property management and have had experience with many contractors. I got several bids and chose Bond Pavement Solutions. Travis was very professional, prompt and efficient in dealing with all of the homeowners. Since that time the asphalt has help up much better than expected. He has been very gracious in answering all of the many questions I had both prior to, and after the new asphalt was installed. As of 4/​13, there is very little wear showing. The Association will reseal next year and we will definitely call on Travis Bond to help us. Travis gets my unconditional recommendation. He does excellent work, has great follow up and is wonderful to work with. I give him a five star rating!

Travis and crew patched & sealed the asphalt in my parking lot off Lincoln Ave. We had holes, cracks, and uneven surfaces in the morning, and flat, level asphalt in the afternoon. Travis is a very high energy, caring, and professionally competent asphalt contractor. His crew is great and I get the sense that’s because they’re treated well. It is hard to find a cleaner asphalt operation.

After 25 Years we needed the 2″ thick asphalt apron in the front of the Capitola cottage, 6′ x 40ft long, slurry seal coated and 5 – 6 root holes, asphalt small hand-​size patches.
Our young neighbor went to OSH and bought a bucket of slurry sealer and did it himself, «easy».
But we wanted a professional crew to do it. I called a dozen «asphalt paving“companies, only got 6 bids of $ 2000, $ 1000, and two under $ 400.
We took Travis’ bid of $ 350, which went to $ 390.
The crew of 3 showed up on a day I planned to be there, but had a family urgency come up. The neighbor watched as they quickly patched the root eruptions on the driveway side, left, and returned later to prep. the area and paint the slurry seal. That was Friday.
We were told not to drive on it or across it for, 24 – 48 hr drying time.
Tuesday noon I did the first close-​up inspection, and found 3 bare spots of old asphalt, tho we were told we got «2 separate slurry coatings for the price of one, because the old asphalt was so rough.»
It was very hard to get phone calls returned to set a date for work after signing a contract.
I have phoned about the surprising 3 thumb-​size bare spots and hope the job is finished soon and professionally.
The next week, on a Saturday, without calling first as requested, the 3 small bare spots were slurry sealed.
LESSON: Always always always watch unknown hired tradesmen. Make sure the job is done right the first time, even if their boss is there. Put start by and finish by dates in any contract you sign, instead of «whenever».
