History

Established in 1952.

Sometimes all it takes is one bright idea. Like creating functional designer furniture at affordable prices. That was the vision of the two Danish craftsmen Jens Ærthøj Jensen and Tage Mølholm who founded BoConcept back in 1952.

A Great Story:

It all began in 1952 when two Danish cabinet markers Jens Ærthøj and Tage Mølholm decided to open a furniture factory. The two founders complemented each other perfectly. Jens was dedicated to and skilled in furniture design and Tage had experience in industrial furniture production. It was a long way before the company opened its first own Brand Store in Paris in 1993, where the French loved the Danish design. Just over a year later there were seven BoConcept Brand Stores in France, USA and China. Today BoConcept creates furniture and accessory collections for over 260 Brand Stores and 40 BoConcept Studios in more than 60 countries around the world. In addition to design furniture, BoConcept sells ingenious interior design solutions.

Business Owner

This is husband and wife team who have a wealth of experience in urban design. Their passion for European contemporary design furniture and desire to provide a quality design product at affordable prices inspired them to bring BoConcept to San Francisco in 2008 and now to San Jose, Santana Row. They believe that through passionate and persistent performance they can make customized and coordinated design furniture and accessories affordable to the urban-​minded shopper. They believe that BoConcept is a perfect fit with San Jose city life and work hard to ensure that each of their customers receive an exceptional shopping experience in their store!
