Decent neighborhood park that’s smack dab in the middle of VHS (Vadio HorseShoe) territory. Despite the neighborhood, this park seems to be pretty graffiti and hoodlum-​free.
–Tot Lot and playground
–Basketball and handball courts
–Picnic benches w/​BBQ pits
–Decent restrooms
–Big, wide-​open grassy field for the little ones to stretch their legs in.
It’s located adjacent to the Gardner Community Center, and I would recommend heading over there to use the facilities –if they’re open– as they’re much cleaner there. All-​in-​all not a bad spot.
P. S. Oh, I forgot to mention the little old lady who’s always out there selling tamales. Not bad for $ 2, especially if you forgot to pack a lunch. :)
