She developed a variety of esthetic and spa treatments during the time her family owned 23 spas all over Taiwan and Shanghai, China. Also, she operated 5 resort spas for her family before she immigrated to United States in 1998. She established a resort spa in San Jose, California in 2006.

Being in the high-​end spa industry for more than 25 years, Eileen has established a large client base through her excellent service and dedication to her clients. Eileen relentlessly strives to ensure that all her treatments meet her high standards and prides herself on offering some of the highest grade services and skin products in the Bay Area. Eileen is great! I had my treatment with her on Friday and all I can say is wow! My skin has never glowed so much and felt so soft! She uses technology and traditional facial techniques to bring the best results.
She is gentle and very accommodating and has a beautiful facility. She really goes beyond in her services and is truly passionate about her work that she calls art.
I have two more treatments left will post again with updates on my new look!

Eileen is amazing and I wish I could give her 10 stars! She is sweet and caring and has done so much to reduce my breakouts as well as improve the anti-​aging of my skin. She has very advanced devices and skincare products to achieve the ultimate skin health. Whenever my skin shows sign of trouble, she can balance and correct it with fast results. Eileen’s facials are both a necessity and a treat because an appointment with her is pampering with such relaxation you will feel like a million dollars. I have recommended her to all the amazing women in my life, and you will too, after one of her incredible facials!

Eileen is the best. I have had eyeliner and lips twice before over the years, and she was by far better than the others. Eileen used a very strong topical numbing cream that worked so well I actually dozed off while she was doing my lips. The eyes were more uncomfortable, but when I had this done in the past it was much worse. Her facility is very clean and lovely, and she uses only sterile one time use needles.
I am very happy with the results. I visited her twice — initial application to eyes and full lips, and then touch up about a month later. It looks really good.
I did experience sore swollen lips for about a week after each visit, but t was totally within reason and expected. Both eyes and lips healed well — and I love how they look. Her prices are average for this kind of work. Eileen takes great joy in creating a beautiful artistic result — I totally recommend her.

On October 4th of this year, I purchased a Groupon to have permanent eyeliner done on my upper and lower lids. After arriving at a rather large house renovated to offices, I went in to Eileen’s office and found it so very quaint and inviting. Eileen made me feel so relaxed and at ease.
She was very detailed in explaining step by step the procedure and being sure I knew exactly how to care for my eyes when done.
I’ll admit that the procedure itself was a little more painful that I imagined, however nothing that I wasn’t able to endure and Eileen was completely aware of how I was doing through the procedure.
My eyes took about 4 days to completely recover and loved the results. I did not see any blank spots or that the liner was uneven or light in color.
On December 11th I returned to Eileen for the touch up procedure. After very close examination with a bright light, we found that I did not require any touch up!!!
I’m so satisfied with my eyeliner! I never need to apply any eye makeup unless I want to enhance my eyes.
I was so satisfied that I have booked an anti aging facial with Eileen and can’t wait! I highly recommend Beyond The Spa!

They need to hire a receptionist! I have called on 4 different occasions and have not been able to talk to anyone. I have also left voicemails to be called back so I can get an appointment have not had my call returned. This is ridiculous. It should not be this hard to get an appointment. I actually purchased a group on and just want to use it but at this point I would rather get a refund from group on. It’s too bad because I’ve been looking for a regular place to get eyelash extensions done at, but it looks like I won’t be able to even try this place out.

This is an amazing spa! I have known Eileen for years and her attention to each customer and detail is awesome! Her facials and care for her clients is genuine and her knowledge of different skin types and what is needed is perfect! One always leaves feeling refreshed and very relaxed. My skin feels great! I also enjoy the skin care products too, especially the DNA Peel! Amazing stuff!

I’ve had 3 facials all of which are relaxing & comfortable, my favorite facials ever!
I’ve had my lips tattooed twice (second time retouch I felt nothing — nothing!!!).
I won’t spend my time or money anyplace else if I want to pamper myself.

I went to Eileen on the 12th June 2013, to get top and bottom permanent eyeliner this was purchased through Groupon. Eileen was very nice and friendly she had a trainee with her and asked if I minded her taking a video which I was fine with. The procedure was very painful but I expected this, I was also quite bruised and again I wasn’t surprised as I bruise easily. After a week the bruising was gone and I am very happy with the results I love the way my eyes look so wide awake in the morning and when I swim I don’t have to worry about smudging. I have had a lot of compliments from friends and would certainly use this spa again for other procedures.

I bought the voucher for permanent lip makeup and had a horrible experience. My lips ended up way too dark but in spots only. I could not even look nice with lipstick two months after. People stopped me to ask what happened to my lips. Not to mention the horrible pain.
I ended up going to Pearl Nails to have them redone and this process was less painful and results far better – but you can still see the dark spots from the first experience.

I have been here three times, each time for a 50 minute facial. I purchased a deal on Groupon that came with three facials.
When you walk up to the spa, it’s not what you are expecting. It is a small suite within a large building. The door to the building has a keycode area and appears locked, but it isn’t. Walk right in! It’s definitely not a hotel spa, or a spa that is owned by a large corporation, but it is a small business, and it is very quaint.
The first time, I had Eileen. She was personable, thorough, and tailored the facial to my skin. She made sure to exfoliate extra for me! The facial included multiple appllications/​removals of creams, exfoliants, and solutions as with a normal facial. It also included a hand and arm massage, which was really relaxing.
The second time, I had Tracy. I enjoyed her facial more during the experience — I actually fell asleep when she massaged my hands and arms! She also did extractions, which were painful, but I definitely wanted those pores unclogged. At the end of the facial, she put a tinted moisturizer on me, but when I looked in the mirror, it was all splotchy and oily. I had to remove it right away! I actually broke out with a few pimples after this facial, so I’m not so sure I liked it better than Eileen’s over all.
The third time, I had Eileen again, and I can confirm that I like her facials much better. You can tell she has talent, expertise, and experience when she preforms the facial. As expected, she applied and removed many things, massaged my hands and arms, and also used a device that felt like a cold stone, but I think it was an ultrasonic device, and I liked that!

This is my third time getting the Anti Aging facial at Beyond The Spa. I have to say that this is the best place to for facial so far. I had my facial with Eileen on my first 2 visits, and loved it (I wrote about her more detail in my first review).
This time, I had my facial with Tracy because Eileen is oversee. At first, I was a little hesitate, but the facial turned out great! My skin was glowing after the facial. Tracy is super nice. She is knowledgable and professional. She is very detailed, and knows exactly what she was doing. If you like having facial with Eileen, and since now she is away for awhile, don’t hesitate to give Tracy a try. You’ll love her, too. :)
I love getting my facial here, both Eileen and Tracy are really good at what they are doing. Would recommend this place, especially for the anti aging facial.

I wasn’t sure that I should write this review as the owner Eileen was so nice, but I feel that I should share my experience. I bought a Groupon for permanent eyeliner on my upper lids. I arrived Friday afternoon for my appointment. I was greeted warmly by Eileen. She showed me some pictures of clients who had the same procedure done and assured me she has been doing this for 15 years. I felt somewhat better, but I was still nervous as this is a permanent procedure.
I proceeded to remove whatever eye makeup I had on that day, and she took some before pictures. Then she had me apply eyeliner as I would want it. She told me it looked crooked, but that she would fix it. She then applied the numbing cream on my eyelids. But she put a glob on my left eye, and it burned for a while. We waited for about 20 minutes for the cream to take effect, and then she started.
It actually hurt a lot. Either I had wiped too much of the goop off that had gone in my eyes or she waited too long to begin. She never re-​applied during the process. My eyes watered tremendously during the entire time.
Then she told me my eyes were too swollen to proceed, and that we better wait until the touch up procedure to finish. When I looked in the mirror, my left eye was okay, but my right eye did not match the left one. Basically the eyeliner was completely uneven. She told me it was okay, and that she would be able to «fix» it during the touch up. But basically, the left eye followed the shape of my eye. The right one was thicker and curved up more. I guess when my eyes are open you can’t really tell, but you can definitely tell when my eyes are closed. I was mortified. She wanted me to come back a month later for the touch up, but I definitely did not want to go back and have it become more of a mess than it already is.
I called up a different place, and I ended up going there for my touch up. The eyeliner cannot be fixed unless I want it thicker, which I don’t. But the lady at the other place was able to make it look a little better and not as noticeable. I had a different and much better experience there. I will also write a review for this place shortly.
I’m sure it worked out better for some people, but I wish I had never gone here for my permanent eyeliner.

Several years ago I had a facial at a place near my home and that is where I first met Eileen and the excellent rejuvenating facial she offers her clients. I had never before experienced such an effective facial. Eileen moved several times but each time I have followed her to her new place of business since I could find no other comparable facial for the price. She now has her own spa in San Jose. I have learned that she is extremely knowledgeable about skin health and care and I trust her counsel. She stays up to date with cutting edge skin care technologies. Her gentle spirit adds to the sense of renewal you experience during a skin care treatment. You are in excellent hands at Beyond the Spa.

Bought the Groupon deal for a facial and upgraded it the Anit-​Aging Signature Facial for an extra $ 40 and it was a well-​worth experience! Eileen is a very nice person, offering the best customer service. The minute I walked into the spa room, I was enchanted with a beautiful tea cup collection and offered a warm cup of tea. Eileen started off my day well with her friendliness.
The facial experience was very soothing and comforting. I felt relaxed and had faith that my skin will be taken care of. I really like how Eileen explains in details about my skin’s condition and how it would affect me in the long run. She also uses natural skin products, which I am a big fan of. Throughout the facial, she would ask me if I am OK and was very gentle with my skin. After giving me my facial and thoroughly explaining my skin’s situation, she completed my 75 minutes with a wonderful massage. All in all, I loved the whole experience and came out feeling fresh and clean with confidence that my skin will be renewed and fresh!
The only thing I will probably cringe about is the price. For my wallet, it is a bit pricey, but I suppose that is the going rate for most facial treatments, especially if you are looking for quality. And, if you want to take care of your skin earlier than later, it is most likely worth the investment. Beyond the Spa still deserves 5 stars, I just wish it was more budget friendly for me. I will still get facials here, but maybe just not as often as I should. The quality, products, knowledge and personable experience make this a place to revisit again.

I got a Groupon deal for a 55 min facial treatment and upgraded it to a 75 anti-​aging facial treatment right before I gave birth to my baby girl on October of last year. The customer service was excellent, and Eileen is very knowledgeable, she showed me exactly what I need in order to prevent the formation of dark spots after giving birth (that’s very common for pregnant women due to change of hormone). After my first treatment, I immediate purchased a series of 3 intensive treatments with Eileen, and the result turn out beyond my expectations. I gave birth to my baby girl on November of last year, and I still see no dark spots on my face!!!
I am now a regular customer of Beyond the Spa, and I would recommend this place to all the women out there who loves their skin :)

The name of this place is Beyond the Spa and they really go above and beyond when it comes to therapeutic massages and making you feel right at home and comfortable. Eileen’s facial was amazing! She uses only the best natural and organic products. I highly recommend Beyond the Spa, but don’t take my word for it… You have to try it for yourself! They have daily specials that you just can’t pass up. Don’t forget to share your experience with me! Have fun!

This place has become my sanctuary. The minute you walk in you are greeted by the sweet owner and aesthetician, Eileen. A room filled with her tea cup and pot collection, as well as a wide range of teas and snacks to choose from. I purchased a groupon for 3 facials and upgraded all 3 sessions for $ 100 total to have better products + hot stone massage.
I have what she calls, a stage 2 acne problem, i.e. more than 5 acne’s at any one time. She takes the time out to give me detailed, yet painful extractions. I did ask her why there’s no steam, and she explained that the steam counteracts with the product she uses, plus using facial products to open pores is beneficial to the skin while steaming has no benefits.
In summary, although she does not explain every thing she does, both my experiences here have been extremely comfortable and I trust that she is extremely experienced and skilled at what she does. Whenever I ask her any questions about the procedures, she gives me great answers.
My skin is not pimple free yet, which she says will take about 3 months, but I just can’t wait to see her again!
One thing that I think CAN be improved is that I only wish she had some machinerary. For example, red light or oxygen pumps. I’ve been to facials before where I received complimentary red light/​oxygen pumps after excruciating extractions and it always seems to make my skin heal much faster.
But overall, love love love this place!!!

I am thrilled to post this review for Beyond the Spa, owned and operated by Eileen LaPorte. I met Eileen several years ago and lost track of her when the spa she worked at closed down. I soon learned that nobody out there gives as good a facial as Eileen. Luckily I recently found her again and just received her «Beauty Reborn» anti-​aging facial. The results are remarkable.
Eileen assessed that I had quite a bit of water retention under my jaw line, contributing to a double chin type look. She used an ultra-​sound machine with collagen and deep massage to help alleviate the water retention giving me back a lovely profile. This technique also helps tighten skin and reduces the appearance of fine lines. It’s done in a series of three sessions. The first session is 75 min. and the next two are 2.5 hours.
After the ultra sound treatment Eileen put a collagen mask over my face. While I relaxed she gave me a hot stone massage (during the 2.5 hr treatment) over my arms and neck, which was divine.
This type of facial does not include extractions. The focus is on the anti-​aging technique. As I stated earlier, I have found no other esthetician who offers this type of service. No Botox or surgery needed, just go see Eileen!
The location is in a charming historical home, nicely decorated. If you have time before or after your treatment Eileen will serve you herbal tea in her charming collection of teapots and cups. Eileen is also a very friendly and positive person. She makes you feel like you are an old friend. I do hope you will consider a treatment with Eileen!

My girlfriend and I searched for a place that we can go for a facial and to pamper ourselves after long day of work. We brought a coupon at Groupon for one session, a 60 minute facial for $ 45. I upgraded mine to 75 minutes for an additional $ 40. And, it was so worth it!
The facial technician, Eileen did an extremely good job on my facial and gave me an extra massage. First, she analyzed my skin and told me what I needed to do to improve my skin, and she will do all her best to resolve my skin problem. I have very sensitive skin. Normally, I don’t trust any product or anyone to touch my skin. Since I found Eileen, I don’t have to worry about that now.
Eileen uses an organic and natural product for facials. She takes her time and does a complete and thorough job to treat my skin problem. After the facial, I can see a big difference on my face. I noticed that my skin looks brighter, is smoother, and fresh. The feeling is amazing. When I walk at the mall or doing grocery shopping, I see a lot of people looking at me and giving me compliments on my skin. This has never happened before. My facial was so good, strangers are giving me compliments.
My facial was scheduled for 75 minutes, but it last for ninety five minutes. And, Eileen gave me an extra message. OMG! I never felt so good in my life. I feel like I am in heaven. I used to not like facials because I have a very sensitive skin and don’t like massages because of the tickle and pain after. Now, I found my heaven. A place to relax and pamper myself.
