My husband and I were on a quest for a good photographer that was within our budget. We came across Bayphoto Net and were pleasantly surprised of the price with the quality of work! We happily booked David and his assistant for our wedding day. As the date approached, I was in a lot of stress but not with David. He was always quick to respond to my emails which put me at ease and I really appreciated that.
On the wedding day David and his assistant were punctual, professional and did their best working around some family craziness.
We received some really beautiful photos, some really funny ones and a whole lot of precious captured memories. Overall, my husband and I were happy with our choice!

We had an excellent experience with David for our engagement and wedding photos. He had great suggestions for photo spots in San Francisco for both photo sessions, was reasonably priced, and most importantly produced amazing photos in a timely manner. The photos turned out so well that my sister is also using him for her wedding.

David is an incredible photographer who did a magnificent job capturing our wedding!
We had a very high bar as we were looking for a photographer — my husband is a photographer and therefore we couldn’t have just any photographer for our wedding — we had to have the BEST photographer.
We really liked David’s style and he had shot weddings at the venue we were getting married at, and when we met with him to discuss his approach to photographing the wedding and the packages available, he was extremely professional.
He took our engagement photos first and we loved getting to know him and work with him before our big day. He did a great job teaching us how to photograph well together. He gave us some tips and tricks on how to photograph well and it was great preparation for the wedding — not to mention a super fun day! We went to a few locations and we were really impressed at David’s great use of props and artistic eye to spot great shots. He is also incredibly good at getting the lighting just right.
To top it off, he got the photos to us about a week before promised, which was a wonderful surprise! :)
On our wedding day David arrived early and did a great job capturing the moments throughout the day and night. He did a great job never being in the way, but always being present to capture the best day of our lives.
We loved his journalistic style and his ability to capture the emotion and the precious moments. He was a joy to work with and again, after the wedding he got the photos to us ahead of schedule which we loved. He did a great job editing the photos as well!
We highly recommend David and Bayphoto Net Photography for any photo shoot, and in particular weddings and engagement shoots.

This is much overdue review. Working with David from the very beginning stages of asking for our first quote through selecting our photos afterward could not have been a better experience. He was incredibly responsive and clear, so there were no surprises in what can be an exciting and overwhelming process. My husband and I still feel like we were able to get all the questions we had answered and are still 100% pleased with the end result.
We decided to go with 2 photographers on the day of the event so make sure everything was captured. If it’s in your budget, I highly recommend this choice as I think it provided a much wider range of photos after all was said and done.
David also did a wonderful job curating the hundreds of wedding photos afterwards! He created a photo preview of some of his favorites and made an absolutely beautiful video slideshow. I have to say that I loved, loved, loved the slideshow. My husband and I had a strict budget to work with and decided to forego a videographer. I honestly don’t think a videographer could have done a more wonderful job capturing the day than the slideshow he made.
Lastly, the Bay Area in particular can be incredibly expensive when it comes to everything wedding related. David was incredible affordable and we didn’t have to make any compromises to quality in our choice.
We’ve already recommended him to our friends and hope to see more of David at upcoming weddings!

David is amazing. We had our wedding at the Waterfront Marriot in Burlingame and he was the highlight of our wedding day. Showed up way before and set everything up and took the best moments. I’m amazed on how great the photos came out and the moments he captured are breathtaking. Very professional And also a fun guy to be around. Great job David!

David is a joy to work with as our photographer for our wedding.
First, he is super responsive to any inquiries we have. I give communication with him an A++. He really puts your mind at ease, which is needed given the stress that comes with wedding planning.
We had David do our engagement and wedding photos. His prices are very reasonable and affordable. I appreciate his professionalism and his friendly personality. He also speaks Mandarin which is a huge plus. Most of our relatives speak Mandarin, so he was able to communicate with them easily and direct them at times for the photos.
Overall, I love how he is very on top of things and really love how all the photos turned out. Also, being a little camera shy, he really makes you feel at ease in front of the camera =)

We worked with David for our engagement photos and couldn’t be happier. He takes simply gorgeous photos and was very professional and easy to work with. Bayphoto Net Photography is the vendor that my husband and I had the pleasure of working with. David Zhang is the chief photography that provided our photo experience. David also provided Melissa, an intern photo journalist to help with dressing and anything that the bride needed for the photo shoot to be sucessful. The extra service was provided without any extra charge.
From the delivery aspect, online photos were delivered early. The photos were hollywood style quality with technique and creativity combined. I’ve never had photos taken that I loved so much. Very minimal touch ups were required and those were delivered perfect! I was not even aware of a good amount of the photos/​poses taken and when they were delivered — I was amazed, 100% happy and satified.
Words cannot express my gratitude for David’s artistic and technical photographica abilities and professionalism with him and his team. You would just to have to experience for yourself!

I had David as my main photographer for my wedding. After my wife and I compared more than 15 photographers, David’s style and price impressed me the most. But not just that, what impressed me the most was his enthusiastic attitude on following up everything. Every email, every meeting, David would show his professionalism. I am really glad to have him as my wedding photographer.

Never expected to be able to afford such stunning wedding photos. My finace thought I was crazy spending so much time trying to find the best but now with compliment after compliment and over 500 pictures all better than the other everyone agrees that no one is as good as David. I look like a princess!
He came early and even brought an extra person to the wedding! Super easy to work with and always has a joke to lighten the mood. If you are getting married or looking for some sort of amazing photographer check him out!

This review should have been done a long time ago. Now that my wedding is done my brain is available.
My husband and I started to look for a photographer through Unilocal and I came across some beautiful pictures that David happened to be the photographer. As I kept looking through more I noticed my friend went through him and was extremely happy with his work. I soon called David and met with him right away and was sold instantly on his work, his promptness and honesty. David is very fun to work with and works with whatever you want to do. He throws out very good suggestions and just does an awesome job.

A friend that worked at a hotel met David from an event she worked on and recommended him to me when I started to look for wedding photographers. I contacted a few different photographers online and after looking at their photos and meeting with David and one other person, I decided David’s professionalism and personality would be someone my fiancée and I could really work well with.
He was very responsive to all our questions before the wedding and set-​up a face-​to-​face meeting to go over details when we got closer to the wedding. We were fortunate enough to have him and an assistant photographer Annie capture our wedding day. They were on time, very detail oriented and fun at the same time. We were able to get in all the shots we wanted (and discussed ahead of time) and many more.
After the wedding we got a sneak peak of photos that were posted on the Bayphoto blog then came a beautiful slide show. It was less than a month total that we got the full online album to view. Everyone loves the photos and I can’t wait to work with David to get our prints.

When we arrived to meet David for our first consultation, I believe he was a bit surprised initially because we were two men. Well in the end we are honored to be David’s first same sex wedding couple because he did a fantastic job and could not have been more pleasant and professional.
There are a lot of wedding photographers. David is an artist. We were married at Stanford’s Memorial Church and he captured the beauty and drama of the place with a skilled eye. The first comment from everyone upon seeing our photographs is that we had a great photographer. And they are right.
Because we were operating on something of a budget. we could only have him shoot the wedding and not the reception; but we got our money’s worth and several lovely shots.
I recommend him all the way.

It was a breeze working with David who was our wedding photographer at Palmdale in 2012. He was extremely knowledgeable, trustworthy, and responsive. I like asking questions and consulting people for advice — we got good answers and advice from David but never felt forced to do anything. Btw, we also got our makeup specialist from his referral as well and we loved her too.
Being a very experienced photographer and organized person, he kept things under control. Whenever we contacted him, he responded promptly; he would also send us timely reminders on important days especially as the wedding date approached. We visited his home office for an initial meeting where he showed us some additional work of his, explained the details about the different packages, and listened to our plans and expectations. It was absolutely reassuring and stress-​free interacting with him. His prices were very reasonable especially given the superb quality of his work. Products were delivered fast as well (we received all digital in a month’s time with an online preview album shortly after the wedding).
For people that are looking for a great photographer, I’d suggest that you first check out David’s work published on his website. If you like his style which we were deeply fond of, then do not hesitate to proceed. We were very satisfied with our experience. We are so happy with the photos! Out of all our wedding vendors he was the easiet to work with. He always kept his word and was the fastest to respond to emails. He made working with him so stress-​free which i a HUGE deal during the wedding planning process. He is soo fast… where are other photographers take months to finish the photos he got them back to us in just about a few weeks!
We loved loved our engargement photos and wedding day pictures so much! The quality of his pictures are amazing and they look very dramatic and artistic. His prices are very reasonable compared to other photographers who charge even more but the quality doesnt come out as great.

David and his assistant Ryan did my sister’s (Stephanie and Alberto) wedding on August 18^th in Half Moon Bay/​Montara Beach. They were so professional with being on time, but I wasn’t surprised because my sister had already told me good things about them when they did their engagement pictures a few months prior. They were also very friendly, patient, and fun to work with. He got there in the early afternoon and didn’t leave until 10 pm.
And now for the pictures… where do I begin? I was the Matron of Honor and I basically lived through my sister’s wedding (since my husband and I did something very small in Vegas 10 years ago). Everytime my sister would email me saying that there were new pictures up on his website, the wedding slideshow, and finally the entire album proof, you don’t even know how excited I would get! I knew that I was in for a beautiful experience looking at his pictures. Many times, I was actually having a bad day when I would get notification from my sister about pictures and seeing the pictures would actually brighten up my mood– that’s how beautiful they are. I was so surprised at how he did an incredible job capturing even the smallest moments (some moments I don’t actually remember since it was such a hectic day, lol).
