Back To Basics Montessori Christian Preschool

We had the most wonderful experience with Ms. Sara at Back to Basics! My boyfriend’s 5 year-​old daughter hadn’t been to any preschool, and kindergarten was fast approaching. We wanted her to get acclimated to a structured educational environment, as well as get her caught up on the basics. Other preschools in the area focus their summer preschool programs around fun and recreation, but we needed more than that. Ms. Sara tailored a plan that took a child who still struggled with her alphabet in June, to a child who could read and write in the first week of August! Ms. Sara creates an environment that is loving, fun, firm and educational. I recommend her extremely highly!

My daughter never actually got the chance to go here because the DAY she was going to start she got called for her transplant! BUT… I would highly recommend this preschool only based on the tour we received. The teacher is amazing, she has real christian values and a deep love for God. She has a very holistic view of childcare. She means business, she said «you don’t pay me to play with your kids, you pay me to teach them», which I love because it’s true. All of her students can read/​write and are SO well behaved and she really cares for her students.
The school is run out of a home setting, so it’s very comfortable and makes the kids feel a lot more secure. She also always has serene music playing which helps the kids relax and focus.
I wish my daughter could have attended this school! If you want your child to truly learn, grow, have the best foundation for life (not just for school), and most importantly a love for God, then definitely check this school out. The prices are reasonable for what you get.

My daughter has been going to Back to Basics for almost 2 years now. I seriously only have good things to say about Mrs. Sara and this school. I noticed a difference in my daughters maturity and behavior a few days after she started. My goal for my daughter was to have her learn to read and write, which she can do now! I love that the same things I teach her at home with Christian values she learns at school too. Mrs. Sara changes the Montessori jobs all the time, and decorates for every season. She puts on 2 big performances a year (Thanksgiving and Christmas), where the kids are in plays and sing songs. It is so cute! I can’t imagine my daughter having a better experience in preschool. She gets a ton of one on one attention, the ratio is 1:6. Amazing!!!
