So the first install was fine, but the 2^nd one was a complete bust. Ken was late to open the shop, arrived in his fancy Maserati and strolled through the opening process as if he was a gift from god and we should feel honored that he opened at all. When I went over the install with him again (I set up the appointment with Sean, who was much nicer and more knowledgeable), his eyes were glued to his cell phone as if he were a teenager, barely paying attention. When I suggested that he watch the YouTube instruction video for the install he briskly told me that his installers like to do it their own way. Not filled with confidence I even returned to the shop with a print out how the switches on the box needed to be set. Same experience — eyes on the phone, almost offended when I asked him to tell the installer which way the switch needs to be set.
When I picked up the car it became obvious that not everything was working correctly. I was rather upset, but I figured that with YouTube video in hand I can do it myself. I took the glove box off and found a mess of cables with the converter box loosely dangling behind. Not a single zip tie! The masterful installer didn’t even bother to secure the wires and box a bit! Then there’s the billing. When I placed the reservation with Sean, I was quoted 2 hours. When I was met by Ken (Mr. God’s gift to mankind) I was told 3 hours, and was billed for it. I was able to redo pretty much the entire install in less than one hour, and do it properly. So not only do they have questionable install quality, they have really shady business practices as well (and/​or incompetent installers, which goes hand in hand).

Ask for Sean and he will take care of all your needs. Prices are great for the quality they offer! Installation prices are the best I’ve found in SJ check them out.

The guys working there and the owner Shan they work on my 2007 Yukon Denali they charge me $ 2,200 for full sound system they installed the door speakers but I find out myself they don’t install the crossovers they laid to me and all the cables not clean job don’t waist your money now I pay again to another shop to fix they garbage I recommend you call this place Custom Car Audio ask for Erick nice service and good prices and professional job.

I wish I could give this place 0 stars. Let me start by saying I came here and decided to give this shop a try considering I live close to it. I needed an amp and sub setup. Not going to say how much I payed but I got ripped off. Let’s just say I got home and looked up each individual item and they were way less than what I payed for. But that’s not what I’m most upset about. I waited almost 3 hours for a sub and amplifier installation. At first I didn’t mind because I was thinking they were professionals and were taking they’re time to make everything neat and tidy. By the time they were done and I went out to check the job they had done I was very shocked to see the wires sloppy. Don’t get me wrong the Asian owners of the shop were really cool and convincing but the installers are they’re problem. Very janky, unprofessional, and rude. I went to peek at my car to see how they were doing, the old Hispanic guy rudely responded «do you Wana do it yourself» when I asked him a question. I was fed up at that point and went back in and told the manager to take everything out and I wanted my money back and that I did not like they’re service and he replied «YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR». At that point I laughed and walked away with a lesson learned. Also watch out because they’re known to give you the displays and sell it to you as brand new out the box. Ridiculous. So I went to Bryan at SOUND SYSTEM PLUS were he did a clean up for free. Moral of the story, don’t go here. They are rude and unprofessional. The installers are super sloppy.

This guys did a GREAT job on my TSX putting in a Pioneer AVIC 8000nex, Love it

Dude takes care of you and has good stuff. I’m happy all the way around. He will work with you and make sure you’re taken care of. Pay cash get a better deal.

My Rockford P3 subwoofer coil went out I took it back to audiowerks explained what was wrong and they immediately started paperwork for my manufacturers warranty. Sure enough 7days later i had a brand new sub waiting for me at the shop. I’m really impressed with how helpful they are and how fast my sub came in.

I been to the shop few time now. First i was there to get dvd install in my 2012 chevy camaro and alarm with window up/​down and sunroof open/​close with remote. They did really great job. I had to drop my car off few time to get the alarm done but im very happy with the job they did. thanks sean

I called late on a Sunday and Mike got my sons car stereo installed in less than an hour. He was very friendly on the phone and in person

Called on a Sunday at 1:30pm and they were able to get me in the same day. The gentleman on the phone was so polite and called me by my first name through the whole call. The installation of my new touchscreen stereo took about one hour, as estimated. After installation I was given a quick walk through on how to operate it. I was very pleased with the overall experience. Highly recommended!

Audiowerks saved the day when Best Buy Messed up and neglected to call my cousin and inform her that their installation guy wasn’t there today. We brought her car to Audiowerks they took her in and installed her stereo for less money.

Well what can I say! Sean I’ve known since
a job I had, this coworker named Justin had a cool sounding stereo, I asked about it, he said $ 500, to sound as good. he told me about sean. i went there, he did my durango, gave me a deal, and any problems bring it back and they fix it on the spot. he did all my cars, my Cadillac, saturn, mercedes, tahoe, yukon xl, and my bmw… where else would you go? Go and pay more? Why? Your rich? Well that’s you, some places out there can actually damage your vehicle, be careful. you won’t have that problem at audiowerk, they are professionals that do the right job! Go see Sean, tell him john sent you! He will take care of you!

Not sure where I stand on this had a backup camera install on my range rover sport. I was dealing with Sean when I made the order a week later they got the part it did cost a few hundreds more than originally we agreed but that was ok with me. my problem is i and Sean talked about where the camera going to be and factory look. when I came to pick the truck it was mounted on by using license plate screws frame. .really … Sean was gone and the young man keeps telling me that’s how they do it and they are going to close in five minutes so I paid and called it a day.

I took my 98′ Ford Ranger in because I was having trouble with my Clifford alarm malfunctioning. Kevin at Audiowerk diagnosed the problem and explained it to me throughly and easing all my worries. He also let me know that I had a bad battery that two other shops had «tested» and told me it was fine. They took care of my alarm problem and I took care of my battery and my car is back on the road. Thanks Audiowerk.

Shaun and Kevin are amazing ! Very professional, great service, very friendly, very reasnable prices, I highly recommend these guys for sound system equipment, alarm systems & installation ! They are the best ! :-)

Sean comes off as super down to earth. I called to ask for a quote because they were recommended to me by a friend. He told me $ 45 for a diagnostic. I parked the car in front of the store, went in to talk to him, and he had me sit in the car so I could show him what was going on with it. He told me if it’s an easy fix then he’ll include the repair in the cost of the diagnostic. I waited on their couches while they diagnosed it. Turns out, the wiring was good but the circuit board in the actual Sony stereo was bad. So I ended up purchasing a brand new stereo for $ 150. He didn’t charge me the extra $ 45 for the diagnosis. I waited for them to install the stereo and he showed me how to use it after the install. Although the location is right on the main street of Bascom, the place is very cozy and inviting. Overall, I had a quick and easy experience, and will definitely return for any stereo needs. Thanks Sean and staff!

My old alarm system which had been installed many years ago (at least 8+ year since that’s how far the service records go and the company is now out of business) finally died and I had to get a new one installed. I chose this place because it was a good price and close by to where I lived at the time.
As other reviewers have said, you get what you pay for — GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!!!
For reference: I have a 2 door 92 mazda miata & had a tarantula alarm system and power locks installed (~$ 300).
First issue: They did not even ask me what brand I wanted, only what functions I needed (2 front doors, power locks + remote control over them & basic alarm system)
After a couple months one of my bran new remotes stopped working (it was not locking or unlocking the car but the alarm still went off when I manually opened the door with my keys). SO I brought it in. Granted it wasn’t within the 90 days at this point, I was charged ~$ 50 for the labor which they did included a new, free replacement remote which was nice. HOWEVER, I find out later that day… THE PASSENGER SIDE DOOR DOES NOT WORK WITH THE REMOTE! It will partially lock but will not unlock so I still have to lock or unlock that door manually.
* Note: Aside from my previous alarm system dying, I have NEVER had issues with the locks.
Now I have to make the decision of if I should try bringing it in again or just take it somewhere else.

Came here to get power door locks and alarm installed on my car. It cost me around $ 360 for everything installed. It was much cheaper than the quotes I was getting from other shops. All I have to say is, «you get what you pay for.» I had to return here on 4 separate occasions.
The first time it was because one of the doors would not lock. The second time the door would not lock when hitting the alarm. The third time the door passenger door would not open from the outside. And finally, the rear passenger door would not open at all.
The owner said one of the reasons was because a Toyota part broke inside the door. He charged me $ 45.00 to replace it. Keep in mind I had no problems with my doors prior to these guys installing the power door locks. He tried to make me feel better by saying he replaced both passenger front and rear door lock motors for free because they were broken already. There was no problem with the front passenger door when I brought it in to fix the last time which makes me believe they broke it and charged me to repair it.
Sadly, I just had these door locks installed a couple months ago and its probably going to happen again…
Bottomline, do not come here unless you have extra time on your hands. They will break your stuff and charge you for it in the future.

Low prices but really shady business.
1. Paid for a brand new head-​unit and received the display unit. Typical bait and switch, was not informed at all.
2. Both of my front speakers lost sound and went in for diagnosis. They told me on two separate occasions that BOTH my front speakers were blown. I was skeptical — I mean come on, what are the chances? Tried to get me to buy new components and pay for installation. Went somewhere else and found out that the front speakers lost sound because of a POOR wiring job (done by Audiowerk). When they opened my door panels, they found the crossovers with wires broken and dangling around, tweeters and mids were not mounted securely, etc.
Nice try, Audiowerk.
You get what you pay for guys, don’t learn the hard way like me.
