Anthony’s Pony Rides and Petting Zoo

Anthony was very accommodating with our party which grew from 20 kids to 35 kids! He was so professional and kid friendly. His ponies were well-​groomed and gentle. He’s the whole package. Set up, clean up and he’s hawt!
Highly recommended.

BEWARE of BAD BUSINESS. I would not recommend this business to anyone. I wished I had read the reviews on this business before I booked the two ponies for my daughter’s birthday. I made a $ 50 deposit a few days before the party and arranged for the ponies to arrive between 2 – 2:30pm. At 1:30pm the owner called and said he’s sick and can’t make it. He explained that he was sick since the day before and planning to go to the ER. I asked him if he had replacement as I have 25+ kids waiting for the ponies. He said no & promised to bring back my deposit check the next day. All the kids were disappointed. The next day I didn’t receive my deposit back and checked my bank. The owner cashed it instead of returning my check. I been texting him about the deposit. At first he promised he’ll bring it but I haven’t seen my check since. I wouldn’t recommend this business. If you plan to book this business you should think twice. Read other reviews as well before you book.

So I booked Anthony for my daughters party. BIG MISTAKE! First of all I booked three ponies and a petting zoo. The morning of. Anthony calls me saying. oh Im so sorry all the animals disappeared??? They just disappeared? wow! And then he came 45 minutes late with only two horses. I was like wheres the third horse? He said sorry he was limping this morning so I can only bring two. Ok I said. So i paid him cash for two hours. We went over half an hour and Anthony said no problem just write me a $ 50 check. That was it. I thought!
Two days later. my acccount was 500 negative! What happened? My bank said I wrothe Anthony a $ 500 check. WHAT? $ 500? Last I remember it was $ 50? Well Mr. Anthony wrote an addiional zero in my check and cashed it at some check cashing store off Leigh and San Carlos. I called the store and they said we have known Anthony for years and he would never to anything like that. And Anthony said it was an «inside job» on their part. I dont know. But this all sounds so fishy and wrong.
So afterwards, I get a call from Anthony saying that he will clear things up but that I sould take my Unilocal post off or else.. Now this man is threatening me. Well im filing a police report against him because he shouldnt be doing this to people. No one should have t go through all this crap and get robbed on top of it.

Anthony’s Pony Rides was a HIT and made our Cowboy themed party a dream come true! We celebrated my daughter’s 7’th birthday and my son’s 5’th birthday. Anthony was very flexible with dates and times and I was able to book on a HOLIDAY, the 4’th of July. We had 2 ponies for 1 hour, one medium size and one miniature. I estimated I would have (15 – 20) children and ended up having (29) children attend. Anthony and his wife were able to accommodate all the children with time left over for a second ride. Mom even got to take a pic on the pony! They were 2 beautifully groomed ponies. I would definitely recommend them to family and friends!

Per Anthony they are no longer doing petting zoos.

We had them booked for a Saturday for 4:30 pm. The owner called at 12pm to say that his vehicle broke down and he was trying to get it fixed. We called again to check if he would be able to make it at 1 pm. He didn’t take our call and didn’t even call to apologize or inform us. My son and all his friends were so disappointed as we had mentioned that we would have a petting zoo. Will never ask use their services again.

They were a little late but also stayed late. My family loved them a lot. They came with all the animals and mini horse for a one year old birthday. Even though she was a little young, everyone of all ages will be talking about the party for years because of the animals. They even got some grandmas, aunts, and older children on the bigger horse. Very quick setup, take down, area for cleaning hands setup. No mess left over. Put all animals in small backyard. Contact by phone and text was great. Recommend them!

Was a guest at a party this past Saturday afternoon in Hollister, CA and really enjoyed Anthony’s Pony Rides & Petting Zoo. It was fun and informative, plus a very clean and professional business — a great addition to the party. The owners and their boys, who helped with the setup and management of the animals, were polite and friendly. Their presence helped make the party very entertaining for both kids and adults, and the presentation felt relaxed and well-​timed, too — and they worked well within the yard space that was available. Overall, it was a really pleasant afternoon. I would definitely hire this business for my grandsons’ parties. Nice to see kids interacting with and learning about real animals!

I called, we negotiated a great deal, and I ended up getting two ponies for my sons’ 5^th bday party for an hour. They came slightly late (not that it even really mattered) and they stayed a little past an hours time. Both the owners are parents, which is nice (as a parent, you want other parents around your kids). They were patient and firm when instructing the kids not to walk behind the ponies (so important). Anyhow, I would/​will use them again in the future for my daughter’s 5^th bday if they are still around then.

My granddaughter loves farm animals so we hired them to bring over a bunch of critters for her and some friends and relatives. There were two ponies, goats, turtles, bunnies, pigs, chickens, etc. but no lions and tigers. All the animals were gentle and the kids and adults had a great time.

We had Anthonys petting zoo for our daughters 3^rd birthday party in August. He was very professional and his set up and take down was great. All his animals were very friendly and clean. It was the highlight of the party. Our daughters face was priceless when she saw her surprise. I called lots of petting zoos, some over charge some never responded. Hire Anthonys petting zoo, he’s awesome. I will definitely book him again.

Our daughter is fascinated with all animals, so we thought what a great idea to include some in her 5^th birthday party! We found Anthony on Craigslist.
The animals were all clean, happy and well loved. One of the beautiful hens actually laid an egg! The kids were thrilled!
There were also bunnies, turtles, a goat and an adorable mini pig! The ponies were so sweet… They even provided colorful barrettes for the kids to put in the ponies’ manes.
Since we booked an extra hour, he included a face painter FOR FREE. Big hit with the kids! I highly recommend this guy!
