Established in 1995.

Anderson’s Tree Care Specialists, Inc. is a local, family-​owned company providing comprehensive tree management services including tree planting, pruning, removal, and stump grinding. We diagnose and treat tree diseases, and provide inventories and management plans for large populations of trees. We provide tree care services for everyone, from individual homeowners to large commercial buildings, to shopping centers, and large private estates. We just had Anderson’s Tree care over to my house and I’ve got to say, they did a tremendous job. Initially they were just going to prune one of my redwoods, but they pointed out to me that one of my Oaks had died and poised a threat to my neighbors home if not removed. Phew… Is all I have to say. Thanks you guys!

Doug is a nice guy for sure. He helped me by personally emailing a city inspector so I wouldn’t have to and with satisfying results. But my big shout out is to Aunica, the office manager who rocks in customer service skills. She has a manner of dealing with folks that just can’t be taught, she was born a rock star!

Doug and his crew are top-​notch. Doug is very professional and knowledgeable about his trade, and bases his decisions and recommendations on the best science available. His crew was friendly and extremely efficient… they safely cleared several large trees out of my back yard in an afternoon. Anderson’s also treated one of my trees which was diseased and planted some new ones in the park strip and my yard.
I spoke to a few services in the area prior to going with Anderson’s and don’t regret my decision one bit; the prices are competitive but with Doug you get an ISA certified, insured, licensed, etc contractor who is actively involved in following the latest news and developments in arboriculture and tree maintenance safety.

Doug (proprietor) came out promptly to assess our tree, make suggestions, give me additional insight, etc. He’s a nice guy and clearly knows what he’s doing and has been in the business for decades.
We had a jacaranda that had to be taken down (it had grown up against a fence). We also needed a palm pruned and a large flowering tree. Doug was able to send out a 2-​man crew within a few days. They came promptly on time and went straight to work. They were friendly, courteous and picked up after themselves.
The price beat our expectations. And they’re licensed, bonded, insured which is a mandatory thing for me when it comes to tree removal. At a previous address, we paid 20% more to remove a few trees.
Lastly, they bring out their equipment + wood chipper and haul off all the debris… no leftover chunks of jacaranda laying on street for yard waste pick up.

A neighbor of mine had hired Anderson’s Tree Care to come and trim out some trees that grow from their yard and over into ours, so there was need for this company to come onto our property to do additional trimming and cleanup. Although there was great care taken to make sure that falling branches would land safely, there was, unfortunately, some breakage of items in our backyard. However, once the lead in the trimming service was notified of the damage, they were very apologetic and sincere in wanting to make things right and very professional in working quickly to correct the situation. The trees look healthier than they ever have and, even though there was a slight mishap in falling debris, the service provided by Anderson’s was top notch. I will definitely be calling them out to finish trimming out the rest of the trees on our property. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

We highly recommend this company. I used several in the past no one is as equipped and friendly! Mr Doug is an expert and scholar in trees! We had 1 date and 6 fan palms skinned and trimmed they looked amazing! They also help us prune lemon and orange tree. I throughly enjoyed the experience and will elect Doug to be our tree Doc!

I have a very large pine tree with a fungus. Doug Anderson was recommended to me by an expert arborist who diagnosed the problem with my tree. Doug came out and provided a reasonable quote, so I selected him for the job of applying a fungicide. When his crew member came to do the job, it was clearly a much bigger tree and job than he expected. He also saw a sap hole about ten feet up, so he mixed sufficient chemicals to go higher than anticipated. Overall, I was pleased with how professional the process was and with the crew member’s focus on going beyond the normal treatment to ensure the tree was fully and properly sprayed. I will use Anderson’s Tree Care again.

Doug is a professional with a great crew, very well maintained equipment, and with all the safety measures needed to do the job right. They cleaned up well after and followed-​up to make sure it was all done right. Finally, the price was VERY reasonable considering I had multiple bids. The best value for the cost and highly professional. Highly recommended.

I want to give a shout out of appreciation to Anderson’s for their help and support in re-​nesting wildlife. They have graciously donated their truck and their time to help rescue birds and/​or re-​nest baby birds and squirrels. Yesterday, Mike came out and helped re-​nest a baby woodpecker in a tall palm tree. How many businesses would donate their equipment and employee for this? Three cheers and vast appreciation to this good-​hearted owner!

The service provided was spectacular and fascinating to watch. Our 40 year old 60 foot tall silver maple has never looked better. They noted some possible future problems with the tree that we were anticipating, but it was good to have our suspicions validated by professionals. The crew left the entire yard looking better than it did prior to their arrival. We will be using them again & recommending them to everyone.

Doug came out to give me a quote on removal of a redwood that had been planted in close proximity to a utility pole in my backyard. Removal required a special-​case permit due to the age of the tree.
He took care of everything. He wrote up the report for and obtained the permit for us within the window he’d indicated.
Doug’s crew came out within a week of issuance and took the tree down within a couple of hours. Two of his guys came out a week later to grind the stump and do the re-​planting. Both crews were professional and couldn’t have left a tidier work area upon completion.
I highly recommend them and would absolutely call them again for any future arboreal needs.

I asked for a couple of quotes to take down a massive 70 – 100 feet tall tree. They were the more affordable one by A LOT! I checked their credentials online and decided to hire them for the job.
A team of 4 guys came in and took the tree down in an amazing 8-​hours! Here is the video showing a time lapse of the 8 hours.
The most amazing thing is that after they left there were no signs that anything ever happened!
The tree was at a back corner with 3 other yards. If anything fell off the tree into the yards, I haven’t heard a thing. Spoke to my next door neighbor who pointed out how clean his yard was. He said that nothing fell in his property. If you see the video, you may see how close the tree is to the fence. So not having anything falling off is indeed a major skill.
The other next door neighbor had her driveway invaded by all sorts of trucks and machinery. That was where they did the big wood chipping. A 4 foot tall mound of mulch sat there for most of the day. I was mortified about the driveway, and was readying myself to sweep that thing up after they left. Again, when I went to check it out after they left there was NO sign that a major tree cutting operation took place there.
Needless to say, I would recommend them to anyone.

Previously, we hired a company to trim our tree branches which were resting on the neighbors power line. The «arborist» that quoted the job was impressive, but he didn’t show up with the crew — and they didn’t speak the only language we know. Result: They butchered the wrong side of the tree which was in contact with main cable lines. We made them come back and do the job right, but it wasn’t pleasant.
But today, the arborist that quoted the job for Anderson’s Tree Care showed up with the 4 man/​2 truck crew. And we didn’t need him. The directions were clearly understood by the crew. Two of them were very good at English and were responsive to several suggestions.
Does anybody else tip tree workers? The total job was $ 2185. My wife gave each worker $ 10. They did a beautiful job in the back yard trimming a Bottlebrush, Peach and Lemon Tree and others. The Monster — Ash Tree out front also received a good trimming.
Anderson’s Tree Care did a wonderful job. My wife cares about trees like some people care about their dogs. For her to want to tip this crew compels me to kick this up to 5 stars.
