Acosta Rufus Woodwind & Brass Workshop

One of the keys on my Daughter’s clarinet got broken just days before she had a recital and I needed to get it repaired asap. I found Acosta Rufus on Unilocal.The shop was nearby my work so I decided to give it a shot. Spoke to Rufus on the phone and took the clarinet to him the next day. He explained to me what needed to be replaced and how he was going to do it, then gave me a very reasonable quote. I had the repaired instrument back in my hands the same day. Highly recommended!

I took my clarinet to Rufus to get a little TLC. Rufus assessed my clarinet and talked me through what he was going to do. He gave me a quote when I dropped it off and a promised time. He kept to the quote and did some other minor repairs he found. He also had the clarinet ready before the date he promised.
Rufus also takes quality seriously. A few weeks after I picked up my clarinet a spring got out of alignment. Rufus agreed to take a look the following day and fixed it up in his shop at no cost given that my clarinet had just been in to him.
Many clarinetists I know have been going to Rufus for years and have had good things to say about his work. I regret not having taken my clarinet to Rufus earlier.

rufus is the greatest! i bring my trombones to him ritually, and he never disappoints. plus, he has affordable rates and he can fix instruments if you are hard-​pressed on time. he knows what he’s talking about and will give advice on how to maintain your instrument if you ask.
many schools i know use him for repairing instruments, and he is so much better than places like world of music because:
1. he actually repairs instruments HIMSELF so they don’t have to be picked up once a week to be fixed.
2. you can drop instruments off pretty much whenever and they’ll get fixed in a reasonable amount of time.
3. rufus is faster, better, AND he charges less than music stores.
