The Achieve Learning Center (ALC) provides an after school program. It is the only such service provided in a licensed commercial facility in the Evergreen area. Students are picked up from surrounding schools and can study and stay there as late as 7:30pm. The teachers ensure every student’s homework is complete and correct. A daily snack is free. In addition to the free Math and English exercise classes. A daily Chinese Language Class is also available for free. Many other classes are provided by external specialists and are free to the students. They include a weekly Art class, a weekly singing class and a weekly Hip-​Hop Dance or Kungfu class. Specialized English reading, writing program and MPM math program with discounted low price are also available at the center. Sports such as group games and table tennis exercise are organized daily.

History

Established in 2008.

Since started in 2008, it has been providing an after school services to the students of K-​G6 in the Evergreen community. It is the only such service in a formal commercial facility in the Evergreen area. The program grows bigger and better every year. Parents love the program not only because it brings so much convenience and happiness to the family, but also seeing the kids achieve steady improvement academically. The Center has been recognized and awarded by the City of San Jose and the County of Santa Clara every year since its establishment.

Meet the Manager

Charles M.

Manager

Dr. Mu graduated from a Teacher’s University. His career includes experiences of teaching various classes in all school levels from primary school to college. He received the Ph.D. degree from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock in an engineering related field. After played key Engineering and management roles in Silicon Valley high tech companies, in 2008, he decided to dedicate his career to provide educational services in Evergreen, and established the Achieve Learning Center.
