This review is long overdue, made our purchase in early September 2015.
My mother had lost one of her diamond stud earrings and wanted to find a exact match. When flipping through the Unilocal diamond distributors we came across Ace of Diamonds. We decided to check them out after we looked around at our other favorite jewelry stories.
When arriving at the Club Auto Sports Center, at Charcot Ave, we were a little confused on their exact store location, so we ended up circling the building a couple of times, eventually finding the store tucked inside. Upon arriving we found out that they only take appointments, but they were very accommodating. We were introduced to Michael who was very welcoming and knowledgable.
Michael helped us find a very close match for a stud diamond earring providing us several price options, explaining the different choices and cost, helping us save money without compromising quality. He was very professional and helpful, throughout the process, calling us with updates. The diamond was delivered as promised and the quality was great. My mom was very pleased with the matched diamond stud earring. I would go back to Ace of Diamonds for our future jewelry needs. Highly recommend this place!

Michael and his wife Linda were a pleasure to work with. As a man going through the process of diamond hunting to propose to his soon to be wife, this is a daunting, nerve wrecking, and scary process. Knowing almost nothing about diamonds (who really does) Michael was very helpful in educating me all about diamonds and helping me choose the right one that fits my budget and her style.
This is not your typical diamond showcase store but more of a personal service, one that will listen to your needs and will advise you on what works best. When the diamond arrived he walked me through the GIA certification and measured everything to ensure that it was up to spec. I walked away a very happy man.
Most importantly when I proposed to my girlfriend… right away she said yes! It was the perfect size and everything she had dreamed of.
Once again, thank you Michael and his team for making this a very smooth process. I would recommend their services to anyone.

So I have a diamond earring that I no longer wear anymore so I figure heck its just laying there collecting dust. So I decided to go buy a 2^nd diamond to make it a pair so that I can give it to my wife to wear. Might as well utilize somehow. Anyhow, I needed to find a 2^nd diamond that is similar in weight, clarity, color, etc… as my current diamond. I was able to sync up with Mike from AOD through my cousin. I arrive at AOD, and was greeted by both Mike and his wife Linda. I showed Mike my diamond, and he used his tools to measure the size and find out the color of my color diamond, so that he can search and try to find the closest matching diamond. Mike told me he will need about a day to search around and a find a diamond that will closely match. I left his shop and about 2 hours later Mike gave me a call and told me he found a close matching diamond. I was very excited that it was found so soon. Mike is a very knowlegable and know exactly what to search for to speed up the process. He presented me with the price to purchase the diamond, and it sounds reasonable, however as a non-​jewlery guy I really don’t know how much I should be paying. So I took a trip down to Grand Century Mall and stepped into one of the jewelry store there. I was greeted by a husband and wife I believe. Boy was I in for a treat. Once I showed them my diamond and asked if they can find me a 2^nd Diamond, I can see in their face that they are super excited to rip a new a$$hole. They took my diamond and looked at it and then the game starts. Yes we can find you one, let us check our books. Here is one, with papers and all. They showed me the price, and it was way over my budget. I told them I don’t need a certificate, they look at each and other and kinda smirk. Ok lets see what we can find. Oh we have one, however we don’t know if we can sell it to you or not. We don’t know what pricing we should give you. Stfu! you own a business this is your product you know exactly what your trying to sell it for. So the wife keeps telling the husband just sell it to him, the respond back I can’t its a really nice looking diamond I don’t know how much to sell it for. And it goes back and forth like that for about 2 minutes. Then finally they told me the price, and it is was way more than what Mike was quoting me for. I immediatly told them I have leave now to go back to work and I will come back with my wife later. Of course I am not coming back with my wife. Can’t stand this playing game shit. So as soon as I got in my car, I called Mike up and told him to go ahead and reserve the diamond for me, and I’ll pick it up when its ready. After 2 days Mike gave me a call and told me the Diamond is ready to be picked up. So I headed over to AOD on my way to work. Stepped in and saw Mike and he presented me with the diamond. I took out my diamond to compare and it matches really well. I was really pleased with Mike choice of diamond selection to match mine. So we completed the transaction and I went on my merry way to work. To conclude my review, I would like to say. Skip the bullshit at the other jewelry store and go straight to AOD and see Mike and Linda and get the best deal possible on your jewelry purchase.

Big thanks to Michael and Linda for helping me find the perfect engagement ring for my now to be wife. They were incredibly helpful with figuring out what type of style I was looking for and was masterful in moving it from idea to final product.

Me and my fiancé had been passively looking at diamonds for approximately 6 months before I contacted Michael. I did all my research and already narrowed it down to the exact specs that I would be happy with, and Michael delivered beyond that. I came here to buy an engagement ring for my girlfriend. Not knowing much about diamonds, I was leery of being scammed for my money, but Mike was really helpful. He gave me a lot of information about the qualities of a diamond. I didn’t feel like I was pressured into anything, and best of all, he was really patient. I bought the ring from him sight unseen, and I have to say, I couldn’t be more happy with his work. Upstanding guy with a knack for what he’s doing. Definitely will recommend him to my other friends!

Recently ventured here to purchase my wife an anniversary gift… I wanted to get something symbolic for our first year of marriage. They recently came out with customized stackable rings that looked super nice. It was in 3 colors gold, white gold and rose gold… I must say it was the perfect gift!
Michael and Linda were awesome to work with. Both were highly knowledgeable and professional. They were very thorough with the sizing as stackable rings can be tricky to fit.

I cannot express how amazing Mike from AOD has been in the process of customizing my wife a necklace and a new wedding band. My wife has been eyeing a nameplate necklace for the longest time and Mike was able to help her find the perfect one. My wife wanted our daughters name on the name plate and Mike was able to help her pick out the font and layout. She could not be happier with how it turned out. Mike and Linda are absolute professionals when it comes to the jewelry business. I didn’t think finding the perfect ring for my fiancé would have been so easy. Mike was very receptive to what type of ring and setting my fiancé wanted and he provided his expert opinion to ultimately help us choose the best option.
Turn around time was surprisingly fast and I still find it hard to believe Mike and Linda were able to craft such a mesmerizing piece in such short a period of time. Although the actual ring looked exactly as Mike had shown us in the CAD design, seeing it in person was still exhilarating.
At a friends recent wedding, a few friends of mine who are jewelers themselves could not stop complimenting my fiancé’s ring. They were genuinely impressed with the quality and craftsmanship. I have no hesitation recommending Mike and Linda to all my friends and family.

Ace of Diamonds, the name says its all! I searched high and low for the perfect wedding band, with no such luck until I found Ace of Diamonds. When we met Michael, I described what i felt my perfect wedding band would be. Michael was able to custom design my dream wedding band. From the start he made me feel comfortable and trusted him completely. When I received my wedding band, I was in awe of its beauty, it was perfect; better than what i dreamed. Ace of Diamonds is the only place i will recommend all my friends.

Michael is an amazing person to work with when it comes to finding the perfect ring! He provided excellent customer service and really put our needs first. My mom needed a new ring to place a diamond that my dad gave her. Shopping with my mom is no cake walk, she is very indecisive, never knows exactly what she wants, and she and I know nothing about rings at all. Michael was so patient with us, taking the time (in the shop and through numerous emails back and forth) to make sure that my mom was happy with her customized ring. In my mom’s own fault, she picked a design that she did not realize she wouldn’t like. So when the ring came and Michael saw that she wasn’t happy with her decision, he did everything he could to make sure she went home satisfied. So he worked with me for 2 weeks, figuring out my mom’s likes and dislikes, putting bits and pieces of different ring ideas together to create one gorgeous ring. In the end, the new ring came out just perfect and my mom couldn’t be any happier with the results! I definitely recommend anyone who has their own idea of the perfect ring to come out to Ace of Diamonds. Then you can create a totally individualized ring for yourself without being limited to just what the other jewelers have in their display cases. Go check them out!

Let me start off with… I’ve gone through 4 different engagement ring settings/​mounts before finding the perfect one at Ace of Diamonds. Three of the settings were bought as is from the store and one was customized. Obviously something was missing in each of them since I didn’t end up keeping any of them. With the customized one it didn’t come out as I had pictured/​hoped. I basically gave the jeweler a picture of what I wanted and expected it to come out just like the picture, but made for my diamond. The setting didn’t fit the diamond the way I had expected and having to wait over 2 months for it made the whole experience even more disappointing.
Thankfully, I found Ace of Diamonds where they pretty much specialize in customized jewelry. I was able to put two ring designs into one. And, I didn’t have to commit to anything until I was comfortable and happy with the design. What’s different about Ace of Diamonds is Michael designs your ring and provides you a 3D render of it. Instead going the old fashion route of giving a picture to a jeweler and hoping he can make an exact replica of it, Michael can guarantee you’ll be happy even before the item is made. Sometimes it’s hard to picture how your design will turn out especially if you are taking different details from different rings and combining them into one. I had to go through two rounds with Michael, since my first design didn’t come out as great as I thought it would. I ended up coming up with a totally new design and it came out great. Through this whole process Michael was extremely patient and flexible. I felt bad making him redesign my ring a bunch of times, but he was so cool about it.
After the design phase it only took 2.5 weeks to get my ring. That’s really fast turnaround especially for customized jewelry. I really love my ring. It’s one of a kind and i’m definitely am not changing it, ever.
I also ordered a band for my husband which I was able to design, too. He loves it.

Ace of Diamonds is a dream come true jeweler and a local business to boot. I could tell immediately that quality and design are their top concerns, following, of course, your personal concerns. I didn’t have to compromise on a single element that I came to them with and felt they guided my choices with their expertise on a more aesthetically pleasing and functional design (my issue with my previous setting (not from them) was that the prongs were too high resulting in a lot of scratches). I don’t know much about diamonds, but I know you will end up spending more than an arm and a leg on them so you should work with someone you feel is very honest, trustworthy, and has good business ethics. After doing some research and then finally talking with the owner Michael about various options, I felt Michael was very honest, trustworthy, and forthcoming. I felt very comfortable with Michael and he was very patient simply because I kept changing my mind.
I came to Michael looking for an engagement ring. We started by working around my budget and he gave me several options. I looked at each option and took my time researching over several weeks. During this time, I came back and requested other options. I think from beginning to end, we looked at over 15 different diamonds. The variations are so slight especially in diamonds when you need a microscope to see these differences, but I trusted Michael’s opinion and ultimately I got a GIA certified diamond on a simple setting. We went with a simple setting because I wasn’t sure what my girlfriend would like, and a simple setting allows more flexibility for her to re-​select a new band.
Fast forward many months, my-​now-​fiancé and I are in the market for wedding bands and it was a no-​brainer. We came back to Ace of Diamonds to work with Michael. Now with two experiences in the books, we would definitely refer our friends here.

The hardest thing in searching for a diamond, is first of all where to start, and whom to trust… I don’t know much about diamonds but what I do know is how expensive it is. For that reason I wanna know what am I truly paying for, and u have to ask yourself am I getting my money’s worth. Reason why I say that is, u never know who to trust and where to go to find your perfect gift. Trust is always number one .
Aces of diamond is not only trust worthy but their quality is supreme. U pay for what u get and when u get it, u will realize that it is even better then what u expected. That’s something I’ve experienced working with Michael. I’m not trying to sugar coat my own experience, I’m trying to let people know how lucky I am to work with what great service and product. I was engaged recently and my fiancé proposed with a simple setting. He wanted me to pick my own setting. He said that I’m the one that’s going to be looking at it the whole time, so I might as well choose exactly what I want for myself. I wanted very specific details and was introduced to Ace of Diamonds by a friend.
My design was complicated since it had alot of side detail and I didnt want it to overshadow the diamond. The design: 4 prongs with pave diamonds on it, pave diamonds on the band, side designs, and bottom of diamond not covered. I trusted Michael with my design and he even made suggestions on making the ring better. I also wanted the wedding band to match.
3 weeks later, I received my engagement ring back with the setting with a matching wedding band. It was absolutely PERFECT! The detail and quality was amazing. Even the wedding band was gorgeous and matched the detail of the engagement setting. It was exactly what I wanted and their price was very reasonable with the quality of work. Michael also went over the ring detail with me and ensured that the diamond matched my GIA certification. I’m so glad that I went with them.

It was our 3^rd year anniversary and we also had our first baby this year. To mark this great significance, me and my husband decided to get a ring for both of us. Since this was our first deal with a new jeweler, we wanted to try out my ring first. I saw a ring in costco that I really loved and we reached out to Ace of Diamonds if they could get us the same design. Not only were they able to provide us the same design, they got us a better diamond quality with a better price. They were extremely helpful in advising us throughout the process.
