A Notary On Duty

The notary has moved to 7176 B, Santa Teresa Blvd, # B6, San Jose, CA. Same great notary. same great service.

On July 20 and August 17 I had documents that I needed my signature notarized. The process took less than 10 minutes (each time) and only cost $ 10 (each time).
Both times I there was an older lady there and she is very polite and patient too.
FWIW wedding can be performed there too.
Lots of parking behind the offices.

Fast, friendly and great price. I used this place a few years back when they were at another location and the new space is cleaner and brighter.
I highly recommend if you need a place thats easy to get to and fast!

I never thought I would be impressed by something as pedestrian as a notary. I had to have two documents notarized, and was served by a very charming woman named Patience. She’s like your cheerful favorite aunt.
I’m shocked by the comments about racism; perhaps the other person who works there (?), but Patience was very nice to me, and I’m a black guy. I didn’t get the «racist» vibe at all.
Parking was easy. The notary fee was cheap ($ 10 per document). Service came with a smile and was very pleasant.
She did have a little lap dog with her, but honestly, i understand. I imagine it can get pretty lonely there on slow days, and for a lady to be there alone with the door open… I imagine her little dog makes her feel a bit safer.
People need to have a little bit of tolerance and understanding. If someone were to walk in there and be threatening, I can see how they might not get the most courteous treatment. Just think… some people who need stuff notarized are angry and hostile. It’s not as if she can body slam someone who acts up.
If I need to have something notarized again, I will make a point of going back to this place.

Omg! This is the worst experience I even encounter with notary! Those two old ladies are so racist! They have no damn idea what they were talking about! One said we are having the right POA form, the other said no!
They are super unprofessional! One old lady was filing her finger nails while giving us attitude, the other just walk out bare feet! I can’t believe she even said to us: this is the United States, u got to follow the stupid rules! It seems like we know nothing about the place we’ve been living for more than 10 years! WTF???

I really like this place. The owner lady is quite a character, she reminds me of a shop owner from Seinfeld or something! Very amusing in the best way possible.
She was very helpful and patiently answered all my questions. Definitely will be back again soon!
This is a new location for the shop, it’s very close to Fry’s and across the street from Starbucks.

Both ladies got very snappy and rude with my husband and I. It was extremely uncomfortable. One of the ladies stared my husband down just because he asked a simple question… It was very unprofessional and both of us left very unhappy. NEVER going there again. And they only accept cash or check.

Got the signatures notartized without too much of a problem. Gal was a bit rude at first but warmed up. Place was quite dirty… not sure how they attract any wedding chapel business. There is a dog on the premises which is very apparent.

I don’t even know what to say… wow. Did you read my quick tip? That about sums up the experience. Well I will say this: How many times in your life do you really need something notarized? In my experience– not many.
I was in and out and got what I needed done. The experience was uncomfortable and awkward. However, I probably won’t need to come back for a very, very long time so it’s no sweat off my back.
The older ladies remarks about my ethnicity and my name didn’t phase me. I lived in the central valley for five years. I’ve dealt with plenty of racist people and/​or people who really just don’t know better/​old school (really old school) personalities. I paid the $ 10 bucks and got the hell out of there.
The plus side, was I had to mail the letter and the post office is located right next door.

I had to have to paperwork notarized. In the back of my mind I remembered Notary on Duty but was feeling too lazy to drive 2 miles. Can’t I find a Notary closer? I jumped in my car, grabbed my HTC EVO, opened Unilocal,searched for Notaries and several came up close to my home. Drove to one, closed. Drove to #2, couldn’t find. Drove to FedEx center, don’t notarize anymore. I was already a quarter mile from Notary on Duty. I thought, «That’s what you get!» I pulled up, opened the door, Daisy barked at me, Pat said «Hi Honey, what can I do for you today?». She notarized my stuff and out the door I went. Bye Pat and Daisy! That’s what I call service! Wham, Bam, Thank you Mame, I mean Pat!

The documents she notarized were not done properly so my attorney returned them to me and I brought them back to her and she got an attitude then I sent them back to my attorney and yet again she did them wrong, but this time I refuse to go back because of her attitude but mostly because she has a dog and it reeks urine and poop worse than any animal shelter and this is a place that performs weddings. Don’t take my word go there yourself and your will agree. Maybe it’s best she retire.

There were two ladies in the office arguing about some file or document that had been misplaced, swearing like sailors and bitching about everything.
” What a sh*tty day” «Yeah, well it started off sh*tty and its only going to get sh*ttier»
That’s the NICEST thing I can repeat! Now I’m no prude when it comes to colorful language, but in a professional environment you need to get your act together.
The place smelled like a kennel and they were little chewing toys everywhere. Why? Because of her little dog which she had in her lap while she was sitting at her desk doing official business.
I would stay away, but if you have to go there, bring cash because they don’t take credit.

Highly recommended. The space is Quite Something. Friendly and profesional service, and you just have to see the wedding facility. I just can’t say enough about this place. It’s right next to the Post Office, so if you need to mail your notarized document, it’s very efficient.

Very nice, although the outside resembles a liquor store because it’s located in a mini strip mall (HARD TO FIND — right after Jack in the Crack). The main lady (I can’t remember her name) is super sweet, friendly, and thoughtful. Her office manager, however, is the rudest BITCH I’ve encountered in quite a while. While the sweet lady was explaining our vows, the BITCH went SSSSSSSSHHHHHHHHHHH!!! Very loudly because she was on the phone. Luckily for them, the sweet lady put her in check.
The ceremony was VERY nice; I requested to leave out OBEY and IF ANYONE OBJECTS! LOL She said,“Oh honey I always leave those out!” So the ceremony was lovely, and just what I asked for. After wards, the BITCH was giving directions to my new mother-​in-​law and when she asked her a question, the BITCH snapped back,“Do you want to listen? Can I finish??” What a bitch! I called today to get a copy of the certificate, and the sweet lady was still sweet on the phone. I let her know how much I appreciated her ceremony, but told her that lady was so rude and it was so unnecessary (especially to my mother-​in-​law).

Very nice people and a clean interior!
I went there to get a document notarized and the cost was cheap and the service was super friendly and fast as well. I did not have an appointment or anything, I just walked right in, waited for a few minutes, had what I needed notarized done and then I was out of there in less than 15 minutes total.
They will even travel to your location (by appointment only)!
They also offer wedding ceremonies on site (you HAVE to go inside to see what they offer as from the outside you would never expect them to have anything like that on the inside) with no blood test or waiting period!
I don’t see myself using their wedding services personally, but they are not that bad looking!
