Born and raised in San Jose, Ca.

I have 18+ yrs of experience in construction. I graduated from Lincoln High school in 1995 then went on to San Jose City College and San Francisco Art Academy. I have an AA in Graphic Design.

I began working in construction as teenager helping my dad with bathroom/​kitchen remodels.

I have continued working in construction ever since. I have gained my experience and knowledge through some of the best remodeling companies in Silicon Valley.

I have been exposed to all trades. I have acquired a love for finish carpentry which has lead me to develop an eye for details. Creating beautiful kitchens and bathrooms is my passion. I have been told I’m a perfectionist. Nothing is more satisfying to me than to build/​remodel and leave a customer satisfied.

In my spare time I enjoy fishing.

We had been having problems with a leaky tub plumbing. My husband had wanted to just repair the leak but we knew that the entire bathroom needed a facelift. We called George from A California Home Construction and his estimate for a complete bathroom facelift was very good. George was very professional in his work, and at the end of each day, the bathroom area was cleaned thoroughly. We now have a very nice tile work installed, the tub refinished, room painted, new vanity and cabinet installed, needless to say, it looks wonderful. Thank you George and staff crew for a great job. I will definitely keep you in mind for remodeling a second bathroom.

We recently hired George to do some exterior work on our house. He was professional and courteous throughout the entire process. He came out the same day that I called him, assessed the project, and provided me with a verbal estimate. Later in the day, he emailed a written estimate. He showed up on time and did a fabulous job. The area was cleaned and all debris was removed. We are hiring him to do other jobs for us. I highly recommend George.

We hired George to remodel our bathroom. He and his father set a new tub with all new tub and shower plumbing. They had to jackhammer the concrete to accommodate the new tub’s drain. They also installed grab bars, a ceiling fan and a new sink. They painted and patched in new floor tile perfectly. All work was done to code, with forethought and to our complete satisfaction. Six months later we called George Jr. for a kitchen remodel and other related jobs. We have full confidence in George’s experience, knowledge (on how to do things correctly), and skills. George is always calm and is unafraid of any challenge. We would highly recommend him to anyone!

George and his Dad started the demo on our bathrooms as subcontractors with Eric from Tool Time Construction. George was here almost daily for months, and did much of the work for our bathrooms, including tile work, in which he is a master. I love how George was able to give guidance to some of the other employees of Tool Time, and problem-​solved some issues, such as what to do when the Master bathroom’s vanity came and it did not quite fit in the space (the designer failed to provide the correct markings on the drawing to show contractor it was a stand-​alone piece of furniture). George suggested making the shower larger, and it turned out wonderful. I gave birth to our second child the day after one of the bathrooms was almost completed. Having a preschooler and a new baby was pretty stressful, with home construction, but the team was very courteous, and very accommodating around the older child’s nap time. He is a Dad, so he related well to our daughter. Having young children in the house with many construction workers was my biggest worry, but it turned out to be a oomfortable experience, and these bathrooms are so beautiful. Thank you George! We just put new flooring in our family room and the old brick fireplace just needed a facelift. I looked on Unilocal and found A California Home Const., read the reviews and spoke with George Jr. I explained to him what we needed and he came over very promptly. He came over with his Dad –George Sr. who is also his partner, took some measurements and quoted me a price to update my fireplace which was very reasonable.
Before they started, George drew us a picture of what he envisioned from what we told him and it was exactly what we wanted.
Two built in bookcases with the updated fireplace in the center. Unlike our previous construction endeavors, this project went fairly smooth. We even asked for recessed lights to be installed and some other items and George accommodated and just adjusted the price.
The father and son team went to work.
They worked very neatly and made sure our new floor was protected. There were some minor bumps along the way, but nothing that was not solved in a reasonable manner. They ended up replacing the crown moulding so everything would match and did all the finish work so everything looked nice. They were great to work with.
My wife and I were extremely satisfied with the final result! We had two big parties right after it was finished and got so many compliments on how great the project looked! We will be using A Ca Home Const. for all our home improvement projects going forward! Thanks for the great work George Jr and George Sr!

I’ve never hired a General contractors before and kind a hesitant to call George Torres of ACA. At first he gave us an estimate for the parts and labor of the project. We had an old fireplace remodeled where a flat screen tv and stereo speakers in the ceiling to be installed. They had the old decorative rocks removed, tiled and made a new mantle made of cherry wood. Installed new electrical outlet and wiring for the ceiling speakers, textured walls, the ceiling and painted. His Uncle Kimo who did most of work from the tear out to finish, did an excellent job.
Both guys are very knowledgeable and pleasant to work with. They’ll explained, give you an update, any ideas or questions you might have throughout the project. They keep the place covered and clean every day. Rates are reasonable considering all the extra work they do. Everybody who visited my home was stunned and and amazed the transformation of my fireplace in the family room.
I’m highly recommend ACA for any little or big projects you might have.

George and his team did a great job doing some custom work in my kitchen. He spent a lot of time reviewing the plans the designer provided and found a lot of issues with them, which he resolved before starting the job. His prices are very reasonable. Best of all, he is careful, thorough, and does the job right. I have recommended this company and would wholeheartedly recommend them again.
