13th Street & Empire Laundry

Didn’t even stay to use the facility. Out of the 10 – 12 washers I looked at, only 1 didn’t completely smell like mildew and the rubber flap covering the place to put in the detergent was covered in mold. I don’t know if they clean that place or not, but it certainly didn’t seem like it. I didn’t have the highest expectations but they were higher than that and I left for fear of what my comforter would smell like. Stay away from that place… health hazard

I live down the street from this laundry mat I come here because it’s convenient for me to. Well just because it’s convenient I will never come here again! I came to wash a few nights ago and there where two homeless men just staring at me and my children when we pulled up. So we drove away. Then tonight the washing machine ate my money. I called the owner who use to have his number posted (which is now taken down) and told him the two machines that are by the back door are my money and this guys had the nerve to tell me he came here earlier to check on the place (cause no one stays here at all) and told me that they worked and that he was too far to come here! I lost 5 dollars tonight and to many that might not be a lot but it’s all I had alone he with the last of my soup I put in the machine. I will never come here again! I don’t understand why you’d have a business of you didn’t want to make sure it was up and running properly! I’m going to report to the better Business bureau! This isn’t the first time he’s acted like this towards a customer I’ve seen the owner get really rude with other customers. I guess I should have taken the hint then an d not have come back when I saw that.

This place made my clothes smell like bum piss!!! I was so mad all my new clothes like terrible!

Ah, the laundromat. It smells of cheap generic laundry soap and fabric softener. I used to do my laundry here in my college days at SJSU. It gets really busy here. The best time to come (if you have to be here on the weekend) is at sunrise, seriously! I came here at 5:30 a.m. one time and the place was virtually empty. I used five washers at the same time (best way to get out of there as fast as you can). I don’t recommend leaving your laundry alone here; so do your laundry and get out of there. Others need to do their laundry too.
Parking is bad. There’s no lot and you’re forced to park on the street. I suggest investing in a small cart to tow all your laundry to and from.
I don’t suggest doing laundry at night because it doesn’t feel too safe around here (at night). But otherwise, the machines all work and the other people there leave you alone.
