History

Established in 2010.

My State Farm Agency has been serving the San Gabriel Valley since 2010. We started off in Monterey Park, and moved to San Gabriel in June of 2015. Since then, we have established meaningful and lasting relationships within our community. Fulfilling our customer’s insurance and financial needs is our number one goal. Additionally, we strive to be the best in our industry, and to provide our customers with exceptional customer service and financial products.

State Farm, well known for being a «good neighbor» by «being there» for our customers, was founded in 1922 by retired farmer and insurance salesman George Jacob «G.J.» Mecherle. We now insure more cars and homes than any other insurer in the U.S. A mutual company focused on its policyholders, State Farm is currently ranked number 41 on the Fortune 500 list of largest companies.

I grew up in the San Gabriel Valley, and I love it.

When I’m not spending my time at the State Farm office with my clients and team, I enjoy basketball (though I’m not very good), martial arts (I’m a second degree black belt), and painting (amateur, at best).

I love helping others, and am an active volunteer as a board member at the San Gabriel Asian Youth Center. My schedule is consistently jam packed, but I am always available to my friends, family, and clients to help with building connections, financial as well as personal advice, and simply just being there. Like a good neighbor. Call me.

I was previously with AAA and had actually just gone through a process for a new quote and signed up with them. Their agent was confusing, but I signed up anyways, thinking that since my Fiancé was with them, that we would be getting a great deal. We were not. Something did not sit right and I called Will.
He was very knowledgeable on the insurance products that would fit what we were looking for. He correctly recommended the right policies (we went with three: Auto, Personal Articles, and Renter’s), and sent us a simple PDF to compare his quote and our current AAA policy. Not only was that PDF very comprehensive, but it was also organized with great attention to detail. Additionally, he was also able to help us navigate an accident and how it would impact our policy premiums depending on different outcome scenarios. AAA made us get a policy that over-​insured and was very rigid.
With Will, we felt very informed /​confident in our decision making process. He was able to tailor every aspect, and was available at a moment’s notice to discuss and provide answers. He ended up saving us ~$ 500 right away, with a plan for additional savings for subsequent years.
TL;DR: Will made us feel very comfortable, confident and informed. He was very knowledgeable, reachable and tailored three policies to exactly what we wanted and ended up saving us ~$ 500 this year alone. We know that these savings will continue for years to come!

We switched to State Farm from Farmer’s insurance a few years ago. Our rates kept going up every year, and we were sick of it. Will is great because he always picks up his phone, and is always in the office. Our Farmer’s agent was never in the office and had an incompetent staff that never got things done in a timely manner.
Will’s team is responsive, helpful, and really cares about their clients. I would recommend them for 10 stars if I could! Their new office is in San Gabriel, so don’t go to the Monterey Park office! We made that mistake once; it was a hassle, but the new office looks awesome!
Our life, auto, and home insurance are all at State Farm now. Will’s going to be our agent for life.

I recently got married and wanted to see I could save a little bit on my car insurance. My wife introduced me to Will and next thing I know he saved me $ 800 a year PLUS better coverage than my previous plan from another company. I had no idea this was even possible. He isn’t pushy or rush you to do anything but the numbers don’t lie. In addition to getting better rates he genuinely wants to take care of you. Great customer service! I was referred to Will by my sister. I was going into a new lease and making higher payments overall. My current plan had moderate payments but I was looking to cut it down even more because of the new car. Will was very professional and thorough during the entire process. Excellent Service. William Hsu is the epitome of a State Farm insurance agent. Very polite and concise when explaining the various life insurance options I was interested in. He even has a neat frosted glass board that he uses to draw numbers and charts so you can understand the benefits of each option. I appreciate that he is able to deliver the State Farm quality service and he has my confidence, which says a lot because I am paranoid about getting tricked and ripped off since other agents I have dealt with were so shady. We closed on a plan and I couldn’t be happier. I’ve recommended my family and friends, if you need a new plan give him a call. Cheers

Will is a true professional. I had a problem with Farmer’s always raising their rates, so I decided to go across the street to check out State Farm’s rates. Will was extremely thorough when explaining my coverages to me. It turns out I was really underinsured and my home was exposed due to my low auto insurance limits. When other companies just want to earn your money, Will really cares that you get the right coverage and protection. Isn’t that what insurance is for?

They USED to be good to me and charged me a fair price but their customer service is just so bad. I was in a car accident and long story short I had to make all the calls and take care of the paperwork because State Farm failed to act on my behalf even though I had asked them to help me. After several occasions I realized that I was more productive at getting results than they were. What was I paying them for if I had to do all the work myself? I switched. end of story.

Mr. Hsu is a good man, and thorough. He stated what he stated, and quoted what he quoted. Like a hard working farmer, he provides for his clients as he does for his own family. He is both diligent and caring: qualities that are hard to find these days in my experience with other agents. My family and I have a portfolio of income properties and our annual hazard and umbrella insurance premium is pretty significant. My prior agent who I had been using for several years really dropped the ball. She waited until my existing policy expired before notifying me that my current premium under CIBA insurance would be increasing by 15%. In other words, she basically held us hostage because we didn’t have time to shop around and stay competitive.
I immediately called William with an urgent request to get a comparison bid under State Farm. Within two hours, I had an apples-​to-​apples comparison quote that would save me almost $ 15,000 in premium. (I kid you not — I’ve uploaded a screenshot of the quote to prove it).
More importantly, William spent all night (on his birthday) binding all of my properties ASAP so that we wouldn’t be without coverage.
Once that was done, I had the gratification of telling my old agent to go fly a kite!

Will really takes care of you. I decided to sign up with State Farm because I had a horrible experience with Mercury, and wanted to try a premium company to see if there really was a difference. The price for State Farm was about the same, so I gave it a shot. Will is very sensitive of your needs and truly works with you on how he can help. I love that he treats me like a friend, and not a «customer».
Fast forward! Last year I totaled my car, which I bought for $ 20,000. When the claims rep called me to tell me that I was going to receive a check for $ 22,000, I thought it was a mistake! What kind of company pays you more than what you paid for the car!?? I actually MADE money by being with State Farm!
Now I’ve been with State Farm for two years, and I’m not looking back!

I’ve been using progressive for the last 3 years and I always thought their rates were good. but then I bought another motorcycle and decided to check state farms insurance rates out of curiosity. I was completely blown away by their rates. It was nearly half of what I was paying at progressive AND the coverage was much better. I contacted Will Hsu and he quickly had his employee «Jack» handle my quote. He got me a great rate with good coverage in minutes. I will be coming here to get my other vehicles insured from now on.

I will never be able to thank William for how helpful he was to me this past month. I was having huge car insurance troubles with my previous company and was getting overcharged like crazy. William managed to get my rate down from a whopping $ 435/​month to $ 250/​month. I had tried to get quotes from various other insurance companies but no one could get a rate as low as Will. I’m not sure how he did it but he definitely knows what he’s doing.
On top of the awesome rate, what really sold me was Will’s outstanding customer service and friendly personality. Even my mom spoke with him and loved him from just one conversation with him. He was so easy to communicate with and I could tell he genuinely was looking out for my best interest. With previous insurance l companies I always felt like I was talking to a persistent salesperson who was trying to get the most money out of me as possible, but with Will it felt more like a conversation with a friend. I highly recommend not only State Farm but also Will as your insurance agent.
