Union Bank

I love the customer service at this office. Every one is very friendly and knowledgeable. They made me feel welcome.

I came in today extremely upset because i had gone to the Wells Fargo Bank next door and I was treated with HORRIBLE customer service. When I first walked in they greeted me as they always do and the moment I mentioned I had a service question they sat me down and had me waiting and waiting.(there wasn’t a single customer there and about 4 bankers plus the greeter just standing around doing nothing) Someone else came in to open an account and they immediately sat them down. I was appalled and walked out. I will finish my review for them on their Unilocal and also close my accounts with them~
I also carry a small account with Union Bank so i crossed the street to see if they could assist me. I had a quick question about my taxes/​IRA. When I walked in I was immediately welcomed by a friendly teller. A banker by the name of Pablo also got up and welcomed me. He asked what brought me in today and when i explained my question he immediately walked me to his desk, pulled out my chair, offered me some tea and waited for me to sit down before I did. Pablo was very professional and knowledgeable. He made me feel very comfortable and asked me several questions pertaining to my concerns. What I liked is that he 1^st asked for permission and explained why he needed to ask some of these questions. «I don’t want to make an un-​educated recommendation» where his exact words. I also appreciated that the questions he asked where connected to my initial concern. Pablo eventually answered my question and through all the info i gave him he was able to uncover several needs for me that i wasn’t aware of. i had been wanting to walk in to a bank and ask about current refinance rates for my mortgage but the lack of time never allowed me to getting to it. He informed me of the rates he had to offer and guess what? after some quick calculations he was able to get me on the phone with his Mortgage person and they were able to quote me a great rate which will save me about $ 2000 a month on my payments. I was so happy and amazed at the level of service and professionalism at this bank. Turns out my mortgage is also at Wells Fargo. After closing my accounts and bringing them all to Union Bank and closing my mortgage with them and bringing it to Union Bank as well that one simple question will cost them my entire relationship. «I want to be your trusted advisor» he said towards the end and let me tell you that so far he is living up to those words. So sad and glad at the same time that he did more for me in 30m than Wells has done for me in 8yrs.
Once we were done he introduced me to the branch manager, Mr. David Ayala. I was soon able to see why Pablo was so great! Mr. Ayala was so professional as well and extremely welcoming. He knew how many years i had been with the bank and also knew the experience i had just been through. I could tell his level of professionalism as he didn’t bad mouth the other bank but he did thank me for my years of business and also thanked me for the opportunity to «earn my business». WOW earn my business they definitely did! I could tell how proud he was in his team and really spoke of them highly. When I asked how long he had been in banking he mentioned 15yrs. Union Bank is lucky to have these two working for them. I was also introduced to the Service Manager Rudy who was very warm and friendly as well. These people obviously love their jobs and know what TRUE customer service is.

I Came in this branch yesterday and I had a amazing experience as soon as I walked in, everyone was so energized. Everyone greeted me and asked me if I needed any help right away. The teller was super welcoming and had amazing service! Definitely coming back to this branch! Anyone looking for great service and knowledgeable staff this is the place! :)

Just opened an account here and OMG, loved their service. As soon as my daughter and I walked in Maria, the teller asked me what i needed and I told her I wanted to open an account. She was really nice and helpful. Orell helped me open my account and he was very nice as well. He introduced me to the manager and he gave my 6 year old a piggy bank so she could Start saving for college. They make you feel comfortable. They know everyone’s name. It was my first time in here and I know I’m going to love coming all the time. If you are looking to open a checkings account come here, you won’t regret it.

Where do I start?
This location is by far the best one I’ve been to! The service here is top notch. From the moment you walk to the moment you walk out. The employees know almost every customer by name and that is rare to see. Bankers will stand up, shake your hand, pull out your chair and introduce you to the manager as they walk you out. A couple of days ago I was in there and I heard bells and whistling and one of the employees yelled out «excuse me everyone, may I have your attention pls. We have a birthday to celebrate today for mr. XXX «everyone including myself yelled out happy bday. I’ve never seen something like that. Lately there are a lot of new faces, however it seems as if they have a chemistry together and they really enjoy what they do. They brought back Maria who is an amazing teller who worked here years ago. i love her! she is truly amazing!
One more thing: they have a lot of diversity. There are mandarin, Cantonese and several Spanish speaking employees here… and English of course.

Every other time I try to log in the site locks me out, I use the same user name and password each time, I think they should look at the Wells Fargo on line banking for some insight for a better on line experience.

Uninformed employees, telling me bullshit. Not smart guys. Seems like banks just hires people that can’t think or don’t think.
Me: Hi, I would like to make a international wire transfer from my business account.
Teller: is that a personal account?
Me: that’s a business account.
Teller with manager: I need you to fill in the address.
Me: no, unless there is an asterisk where it’s indicated, information is not required.
Manager: well let me call to confirm… ok, just spoke toy supervisor. I will do it this time, but next time you need to fill in the information with street address. If we get audited…
Me: cut the crap and just do my wire.
Almost a week later, the wire didn’t go through. Went to a different branch and banker said this wire was never sent and not shown in the system. I was asked to go to the original branch where I did the wire, which is the San Gabriel branch… the teller here was giving me attitudes and telling me the wire had a problem. It’s like what the hell is wrong, why wasn’t I notified last week. I had to come in to find out. Then the branch manager came up to me and told me she will take care of it and had me hold as she called the wire department… it’s stupid I had to offer to give my cellphone so she can get a hold of me. If I didn’t and walked away, she will probably wouldn’t contact me. It’s like these people really need to get retrained and learn more about their product and bank services. «I know how you feel», said the bank manager… don’t say that, I am getting yelled at, cellphone blowing up, emailed because the wire failed.

I went to Union Bank in San Gabriel, CA on 4÷22÷2014. It was my first time there. The bank has ample parking and is not crowded. Those are two big pluses for me when going to a bank.

I have been banking here for almost two years. The people are extremely friendly, you never have to wait in line, and it is a very convenient location, great parking, and a drive thru window. I highly recommend.

Excellent service!!! The staff there are very friendly, very helpful. Not there to upsell you any accounts. Can’t ask for more from a bank. High recommended.

This location used to be Highland Federal Bank which I was also with previously but now has been taken over by Union Bank. Many changes has taken place such as for the security measures of the doorway entrance. At least I know I won’t be in the middle of a bank robbery at this location. Other than trying to figure out how to get in and out of the security doors, the tellers here are friendly and professional. They know what they’re doing and they get your transactions done quickly and accurately so there really isn’t a wait in line. That’s what I like about that.
