Cannot say enough about coach JDR, the gym, & the people who train here. Aint no half steppin’ when you walk into STRIKERS INC! Be ready to pay attention & to put in work.
When I joined, I was looking to train in Western Boxing primarily. But after being exposed to many other forms of martial arts, I found myself most interested in Muay Thai/​Kickboxing.
Coach is constantly opening my eyes to new techniques, skills, forms of training, etc…
I HIGHLY recommend this gym to anyone looking to improve on their fitness, test their mite, learn a martial art (s), break a sweat, meet some cool people, train to fight, practice self-​discipline, relieve some stress, &/​or burn massive amounts of calories!!!
My favorite aspect of this gym by far… Coach’s willingness to train anybody, no matter your age, gender, skill set, previous training/​knowledge, desires, etc. In other words: If you’re scared to STRIKERS INC because you’re out of shape, come anyway. If you’re worried if this is the place to send your kids, send them. If you only want to train in a certain discipline, tell Coach what you’re looking for, you won’t be disappointed here.

I’ve been going to Strikers for about three months now and this review is long overdue. I was tired of the same gym routine and wanted to try something new, challenging, and that would be beneficial mentally and physically. I found Strikers, Inc. on Unilocal and decided to try it after reading the reviews and watching the video on
. First day there Coach Joseph Del Real was very welcoming, humble, and extremely positive. Fast forward three months later and that has not changed, which goes to show how passionate he is about martial arts and his students. He is always there to answer questions, give tips to keep one safe while developing technique, and pushes his students to limits they did not know they had. The people that are there are also very welcoming and always willing to help out those in need. This was a major difference after being in a gym environment for so long where no one really helps or communicates.
If you are looking to become a better striker, need a new routine, want to be pushed to new limits or are curious about martial arts; this is the place to go. There are no egos, or any of that narcissistic BS that you see going on at most gyms. Everyone here, man or woman, is welcomed. You will find the training very engaging, and feel accomplished after each session. I am very thankful for Coach Joseph and all the amazing men and women at Strikers who continue to give me tips and show support. I highly encourage anyone who is looking into Strikers Inc. to take a class and experience it for themselves.

It’s more than a workout, it’s a state of mind. Coach Joe is a master of working the mind and body. Pain is not an option, so embrace it and you will own it. Beginners should not be scared. This is the gym for you. You will have a blast. I quit my club gym, it was boring and stale. This is the snowflake of workouts, no 2 are alike. Enjoy!

If you’re an absolute beginner, with 0 experience in any form of martial arts, or even fitness, then I relate to you with all my heart. I started the beginning of my journey at Striker’s Inc as an overweight, lazy, unmotivated, undriven guy who had been living in a bubble of comfort and ease and doing nothing but eating Carl’s Jr and Mcdonald’s and playing World of Warcraft and League of Legends online games till 4 in the morning with no purpose for my life. I’ve tried many times in the past to make my life better but gave up each time and this completely hindered any self confidence or belief I had in myself. This time though, I knew if I didnt get myself together it would be too late and I mustered the courage to send Coach Joseph an email and get started on my path.
Walking down those stairs into the gym on my first day was the hardest part of my journey. I walked into a room of experienced or athletically inclined warriors with a zest for the art and for growing. How could a guy like me keep up with the likes of these people? I had a fear of being laughed at and looked down upon but my preconceived notions could not be further from the truth. I was welcomed with open arms into a family of passionate individuals who encouraged me, made me realize my self worth, and accepted me as their own. Never had I seen such humble individuals who despite having advanced levels of talent miles above mine, would take the time to help guide me on my path. When I wanted to give up on myself or didnt think I had what it took to keep going, they helped give me the push to continue or lent me the hand to get back up and fight for more. Today, I’m proud to say i’ve made friends and family for life that genuinely care for my well being and advancement in life, and I theirs.
Coach Joseph is not only a master of his art, but also a great human being who is able to relate to the struggles and pain of others. Never have I seen a teacher take such passion in helping his pupil constantly progress and become a stronger version of themselves. Never did I think an individual who was a master of his craft, motivated, and accomplished would be able to understand my struggle and relate to my experiences and journey. Coach Joseph has challenged and helped me reach levels of progress I never knew I was capable of getting to. I’ve cried in pain, laughed with excstacy at finally being able to execute a technique beautifully, and dug deep to discover the warrior inside of me that has been hiden away for so long. I have never seen a teacher who takes time out of his own schedule before and after class to invest into my growth. Coach Joseph has spent countless hours after exhausting days of training to help give me advice not only in regards to my progress in the gym but in my personal life. Even while at home he would send me text messages with an article on how to improve my punch or wrist exercises or on the right foods to eat. I’m still in the beginning steps of my journey, but have already lost over 20 lbs and gained an enormous drive, hunger, and confidence to improve, as well as a purpose for developing myself into a man and giving back to others.
Strikers Inc, and Coach Joseph I am forever indebted for you. Thank you for helping me develop myself into a better man both in and out of the gym.

1) Fantastic training — coach Joe is a great coach who knows how to work with different individuals coming from different fitness & athletic backgrounds. He is also able to work with different «mental states» (from a beginner who needs to build confidence, to an experienced fighter who might be more aggressive). He is able to help take you to the limit, and drive you to push even further.
2) Fantastic atmosphere: one of collective progress without any egos. I have felt my technique and athleticism both improve — and I have seen everyone else around me improve as well — and there’s a great sense of community and progress at the gym.
3) Fantastic martial arts: I feel like I have learned a whole new language — and am achieving a great deal of fluency. I never thought I would learn to love Martial Arts and did not intend to become a «fan» of it — but coach Joe has been able to make me a huge fan of it! He has introduced me to Muay Thai, Boxing, MMA, and Tai Kwon Do techniques, and has catered my training to my body and fitness type. In addition to enjoying the athleticism and sport of Marital Arts, he has helped me learn to appreciate the «art» of it as well. Coach Joe is all about helping students learn to express themselves through Martial Arts.
I am not a person who enjoys exercising or being sore — but Coach Joe has a way of motivating and driving me to want to improve and keep coming back. He has helped me capitalize on my strengths and has pushed me to address my weaknesses — he doesn’t make it easy and is passionate about my improvement (and the improvement of my classmates) — but is able to do it in a way that is motivating.
One of the best investments I have made for myself to date — I feel stronger & healthier mentally and physically.

Best striking gym I ever trained at. What I learned here is what I’d describe as «Mixed Striking Arts». Not just Muay Thai Kickboxing, but the best elements of all striking arts combined into a cohesive system. Hand combos and head/​body movement from Western Boxing, Footwork/​distancing and use of unorthodox kicks (side kicks, back kicks, wheel kicks) from Taekwondo and Karate, etc. Coach JDR is the best at refining technique, really paying attention to each student’s progression. Each session, although done in a group setting, feels very much like a semi-​private lesson on the striking arts.

Today I just finished my second day at Stiker’s Inc with coach Joseph and I must say. I am so stroked to finally find such an amazing coach/​training system.
The workout is ass kicking. I have done everything from working out at the gym to P90X and let me tell you. Nothing, that I have done so far is as exciting, intense, yet practical as training with coach Joseph.
Everything every other 5 star review said is true about coach Joseph, and his training system.

Now when it comes to get in touch with Joseph. It took me at least 10 tries to get a hold of him. I really recommend you just head down here during the posted training hours. Everyone is friendly here, and coach Joseph will get you situated. Oh yeah and you will have one hell of a time! =)

There are no heroes or tough guys at Strikers, Inc. Egos are checked at the door.
Let me preface this review by saying that while far from the naturally gifted, coordinated athlete, I have always been active and bear a keen interest in martial arts and most sports. I have spent considerable periods of time as a member of a variety of boxing, muay thai, MMA, and general fitness gyms both here and overseas. I have experienced the full spectrum of trainers and coaches the industry has to offer — the good, the bad, the ugly. Most friendly trainers are underqualified and unskilled. Most technical trainers are gruff, douchey or just plain jaded.
I was introduced to Joseph Del Real, Head Coach & Owner of Strikers, Inc, by a close friend, and cannot recommend him highly enough. He is the most knowledgeable, effective and positive martial arts coach I have ever met, and has years of experience with both casual, amateur and pro fighters.
Joe is an artist. He has the unique ability to identify flaws in your technique, regardless of skill level, and provides a clear, simple solution so you see improvements in that very same session. You can literally feel his passion for Muay Thai and the striking arts, and his obsession for detail is evident in the unreal technical form all his students present on the pads and bags.
There are not many trainers who possess both the technical know-​how AND communication skills Joe provides his students.
What you can expect from training at Strikers, Inc:

I drive close to 40 mins each way to train at Strikers, Inc as often as I can.

This place is all about the trainer, Joseph Del Real, and the people that come to train here. Let’s face it, we all would like to be in better shape. Joe makes no bones about it, getting in shape takes a lot of hard work! Joe is a great coach. He is genuinely interested in helping you get to where you want to be. He will help motivate you mentally and keep you focused. I’ve been training with Joe for several years now and it never gets old. The plus side about coming here is that you learn some excellent muay thai/​boxing skills AND get in shape!
The people that come here to train range from working professionals to professional fighters. Everyone that trains is willing to help you get better and they do so in a good way. Don’t be shy about coming and feeling like you don’t know what you’re doing. At one point in our lives we were all at that stage.

Having read the reviews already posted, you may worry that this will be as predictable as it will repetitive… or maybe not… just read it…
Let me begin by sharing this…
I have rather high standards, most of which, people often miserably fail to meet… I absolutely do not tolerate bullshit and take it personally when anyone attemps to waste my time.
That being said, I met Joseph Del Real nine years ago… In high heels and even a higher opinion of myself (thanks in part to jazzercising Taebo videos), I walked down the stairs to a basement that changed my life. The place where I called home away from home for the next six years. Where I was humbled. more than once… The place where I left «blood, sweat and tears», and if you think thats clich’e … I assure you, Ive earned the right…
«pain comes when technique goes»… were the first words he ever said to me. And with that Joseph spent the next few years making sure I never feel pain if you know what I mean.
I wont assume you care about the details of what transpired next…
the endless hours of jumping rope, stretching, shadow boxing, pad work… did i mention stretching. and yeah, more more more and more pad work. interrupted only by sparring sessions, which often took place under duress as my protests fell on deaf ears, with our in house, home bred mean lean fighting machine who outweighed me by 40 pounds… I learned not to question him. He knew what he was doing. I was defeating women almost twice my size. literally.
Joseph was as caring as he was technical.
On cold winter mornings, in preparation for fights, he would run the «cardiac Hill «with me just so I would feel motivated.
He taught me everything he could.
He was the best teacher Ive ever had and Ive had plenty.
He impressed me the day I met him and he impresses me today… as a teacher, as a friend, and above all, as a human being.
Some time has passed since we trained for fights. since we trained like our lives depended on it… But I assure you that I remember everything he ever taught me… and pound for pound, well… lets just leave it at that.
From time to time, I visit Josephs new gym. Striker, Inc. and we «hit for fun»…
Another staircase… not quite as familiar this time. maybe it will be to you someday …
But please make no mistake. If you choose to walk down those stairs, whether its to become a fighter, or to just get in better shape… Joseph Del Real isnt the lucky one… YOU ARE — For your life is about to change… like mine did nine years ago…

With an extremly initmate and personal setting Joseph will help you sharpen your skills and develope a style that is uniquely your own. I LOVE Strikers Inc! The coach there Joseph Del Real is amazing! He is the most skillful, humble, caring, motivating, sincere, talented trainer I had ever had. He has a passion to teach and to inspire his students. You can see how much he cares about his students because he takes the time and patience to emphasize the importance of the technique in muay thai. You will not find that in any other muay thai gym in los angeles, trust me Ive been to many muay thai gyms in the los angeles area. Everyone that I have seen train here with Joseph Del Real has impeccable technique.
Stikers inc. workouts are the best I have ever had in my life. Even if you don’t want to learn muay thai, Joseph Del Real will customize your own workout to whatever your fitness goals /​needs are. He does a variety of intense workouts and always switches it up so its never boring. Ive been to many personal trainers, bootcamps, crossfit, zumba, fitness classes, boxing/​muay thai gyms, but I always come back to Joseph Del Real. He has gotten me in the best shape of my life. Not only has my body completely changed but so has my mind emotionally and mentally. I feel like if Im ever in a situation where I need to protect myself I can.
Strikers inc. has taken my fitness to another level which I thought I could never reach. Joseph Del Real pushes u and motivates u. After his workouts u feel dead tired and
exhausted but at the same time so accomplished.
The people who train here are very friendly and treat each other like family, they motivate one another and it’s great to be part of that environment. You won’t find any creepos here starring at you like other gyms I have been to.
If an intense workout is not what u are looking for then this place is probably not for u. If you’re not looking to shed weight, burn calories, get toned, or look or feel your best then don’t bother coming here. :P Schedule a private session with Joseph or come check out one of his classes!

If your idea of working out is going to a over crowded big box gym, waiting in line for Rube Goldberg fitness contraption, and blasting your head phones so you can pretend you are alone, then this place is NOT for you!
But, if you goal is get in the best shape of your life and actually enjoy the process then you have to come to this place. I have trained in martial arts for years, and I’ve generally run into 2 types of teachers. 1) the fighter who teaches because he just needs some extra cash and doesn’t really give a crap about the students progress. 2) the washed up ex-​fighters who hate their current lives and want a pay check. Joe is neither of these. He truly cares about his students progress and he’ll do everything necessary to get you the next level. He will invest his time, knowledge, and passion in you so as long as put in the hard work.
Joe is an amazing coach but what really brings Strikes Inc. to life in my eyes are the people there. The gym is small so everyone knows eachother, some for years. Everyone is welcoming but everyone works hard and pushes eachother. For all the time I’ve been coming here, I’ve never seen any pretense, arrogance nor snarkiness. Everyone is kind, easy going, and welcoming!

I hate working out, I’ve tried different work outs, from gym memberships, home work outs, videos, zumba, working out with friends and personal trainers. I always did everything for less than a month, I was never motivated until I started going to Strikers Inc. When I first went I was intimidated because everyone there had been training for a long time and I was just a beginner; I also thought it would be male dominated. I was completely wrong! The class is pretty mixed with women and men, everyone there is so helpful and nice. Coach Joseph is awesome, he pushes you to keep going even when you think you can’t anymore. I never thought I would be able to work out like I have been, I can feel myself getting better, I feel better than I ever have and I owe it to Coach Joseph and his hard work and encouragement!

Joe is just a really good person and he cares about his students. He will work with you on any goals you want to achieve in kickboxing, from fighting to weight loss. Not only is he professional but he truly is a genuine traditional muay thai practitioner. Getting in shape is a given with his workouts and the muay thai training is a fun workout as well.

Strikers Inc, is the best place to go if you want to learn boxing, muay thai, self defence, or if you just want to get in shape. It’s a great place if you’re starting out or if you want to improve your game. Coach Joseph Del Real is an awesome coach his teachings can be applied to many aspects of life. He puts things in a way so that each student can understand it. He will take the time to teach the proper technique. Classes can be hard but fun at the same time. Everybody leaves their ego at the door, all the students here help each other improve. This is a great place with positive energy good people and an awesome coach who is full of knowledge.
