This place has a great selection of pianos including Bluthner. Gilbert, the owner of the store was a fantastic help. Positive experience overall.

This review is for their selection of pianos only. You know me, I love a bargain, who doesn’t? But once in a while, I must choose quality over price. Especially, if I see it as a very smart investment for the future. For example: antique handmade furniture, beautiful couture dresses, and pianos. :) And sometimes, craigslist/pennysaver just ain’t gonna cut it. Gilbert, who is the owner of this store is quite nice. If you speak slowly,(his english is about average), he can answer any question your little heart desires. He has an array of uprights(yamahas, schafer and sons, etc) that are in pretty descent shape for a little over 2,000 or less. He’s a tuner himself, so he keeps it in descent shape. Though, I wouldn’t hire him as a tuner, it’s very inconsistent. He also has monthly shipments of grand pianos– like Yamaha, Bechstein, and Fazioli. And since it’s in San Gabriel, where bargaining if the way of life, be prepared to haggle with him for pricing, I’m sure you’ll leave happy. Also, this place offers private lessons.(piano, violin). This place is relatively small compared to the other boehemouth stores that stocks everything and their mom’s. The selection is small, but varied. Make sure to play all instruments, and use your ear! If you still feel unsure, just bring a musician friend along and have them play the instrument. Keyboards are also available, but meh. it’s plastic, and well… i’ll just leave it at that. Here’s a useful site for picking pianos: happy shopping! ps they’re closed mondays.
