Greg is the best. He has reupholstered antique furniture for my city home, created custom pieces to my specifications and modern furniture for my Palm Springs home. I have used R&B for 15 years (I was introduced by my decorator) and have never been disappointed. He picks up, delivers and does Custom work (even in the desert). He is doing some reworking of a few pieces now as I write this. Definitely an incredible resource.

I needed to get a picnic chair stitched (I guess I should go on a diet) I dropped the chair off on Friday and picked it up on Tuesday They were not even going to charge me anything. I gave them 5 bucks for their time Wasn’t looking for anything special Simple Stitching

The negative reviews are unwarranted in my opinion and undeserved. I have dealt with R B for 25 years for various types of furniture and found the prices fair, the workmanship superb, and the service very professional. I was just there today for a new job, and am planning a sofa redo in the near future.

I took a footstool in with my own fabric. Price was very fair. They replaced the old foam and reupholstered it with welting around the edge. I’m very pleased.
I took a chair there years ago, probably before Unilocal was invented, and they did a good job then. Wish I needed more work done!
(The place is a little messy, but maybe all upholstery shops are like this. I don’t care; the work was good.)

This place came as a referral to me by my coworkers who swore he did a fantastic job. So I thought it would be alright to give him my two chairs to upholster. The owner is nice but I left he overcharged me for what he did. The workmanship is not «excellent» it is just ok. And he promised to paint the legs of my chair but he didn’t. My suggestion is check out the place but shop around and Unilocal first. I feel they are just an average mom and pop store. A business should look clean and organised. This place is not. I don’t want to come across as too harsh and I totally support local small businesses whole heartedly. I just feel this place is just mediocre in terms of workmanship and is a bit high on their prices. They did deliver on the day they promised.

Our couch cushion was separating at the rear seam. It has been need of repair for over a year but since the damage wasn’t visible, I kept putting it off. I finally decided to see if any local business would be able to repair it. Checked on Unilocal and found that they are only minutes away from my house. Called Saturday morning to see if they can help me out. Greg asked me to bring the cushion in and it was repaired by lunch time. They pulled out the cushion and resewed the seam. Hope the repair lasts!

I needed a new person to recover some rocking chairs and in the past I have used Rincon in Pasadena but last recover job was not up to par for fees paid! But I will tell you quite honestly RB did a great quality job for a very fair price and quickly too! I will be back to see them for my other jobs they are great.
