The good: Great price, the posted price list matched their craigslist ad. The bad: My therapist spoke no English, which was not a big problem, and this place does cater mostly to ethnic Chinese. BUT, my therapist was a somewhat old(not necessarily a problem), VERY fat troll of a woman that I really didn’t want touching me. I had her work my back, and her skills were not bad, but morbidly obese massage practitioners are hard for me to take. I took a raincheck on the full body part of the session and checked out. Definitely a legit massage joint, no private rooms, don’t expect a hottie or any extra services.

Legit massage from young asian girls. Service and the skill is not bad for me with the great price. I love to go there every month now.

My wife and I went to this place according to an ad in the papers for 2hrs for $ 40. The place wasn’t too bad at first but I didn’t like the fact that anyone can look inside your room which was double occupancy. We both had female masseurs which were older. The massage ended up being less than 2hrs, 15min shorter. One of the masseur said it was because she was tired but yet they charged us for the full 2hrs. Maybe a younger person could have endured 2hrs let alone given a stronger massage. Then when I went to pay using a credit card, they charge me extra because the credit card company charges them a service charge. Well nice of them to hide that bit of information till afterwards. Plus on top of that, one of the masseurs demanded a $ 10 per hour tip. It would have been better if they made the suggestion as to a demand, so that ended up being a $ 20 tip for each masseur.

I heard abt this place from a friend. From the first negative review, it sounds like the place has a sleazy ad on craigslist. It isn’t exactly a happy endings place, but my masseuse Lee had on tights/leggings and a sparkly top that didn’t exactly seem therapeutic. The place has ok décor and the area is authentic Chinese, down to the Chinese courier service and senior center next door. From 11 – 12 one Tuesday there seemed to be a traditional Chinese music singalong. Authentic but not particularly restful. My friend told me Lee gave him a 2 hr backrub for $ 40. When I got there there was no posted price list and they seemed to be saying $ 25 for a 1 hr body massage and $ 15 for a 1 hr footrub. It was hard to understand their English. I wasn’t sure if the price kept varying but eventually they agreed to do it. The bathroom is shared with all the building tenants, so you walk out of the massage space into a dingy general hallway and into an Employees only bathroom. The massage area was clean and fine. The front door was open to Del Mar Blvd which is near the freeway with a lot of heavy truck traffic. At first it was so cold Lee kept her jacket on. Midway through she removed the jacket and had a sparkly top kn that gave me a ‘happy ending’ vibe. The foot massage was good, and the back massage included a hot stone treatment. It was deep and hard. The stones, water and towel are overly hot but Lee asked if they were ok, and apologized for having to negotiate with another client during my massage. My friend had told me he tips $ 20 but said I could probably tip $ 10. Lee made it clear that my $ 10 was not enough– she slapped my hands and told me I should tip $ 10 an hour. She held me hostage, demanding I put it on a credit card(for which they have a $ 2 service charge) if I couldn’t find the cash. I did, and then she gave me a choice of water or a foul-tasting tea, and a card good for a free massage after every 10. No thanks.

I like the manager here but the massages are lousy. My gf and I left here with a sore back. They advertised 5+ years of experience which I don’t believe. I don’t recommend coming here unless they change staffing.

I read the one complaint about the older masseur, and I have to disagree, for if it’s the same one I had today, it was one of the most experienced masseurs I have ever had. I believe his name was Chin or Shin, and he definitely dug deep in my muscles, but that’s just what was needed, a deep tissue therapeutic massage, not one of those soft stroking wimpy dishrag rubs. I would absolutely go back to him. I am only deducting 2 stars for the somewhat unpleasant restroom, and noise in the background — foot traffic on hard floors, and voices too loud for a haven of relaxation. if this place were simply carpeted to cut the noise, it would be much more soothing, which i believe is crucial to the experience, and this would earn them an extra star from me. The massage itself was a– o –k with me.
