I’ve been going to see Dr. Smith, and now his daughter who is there most of the time, for over 20 years. Daughter and father are the best dentists I’ve ever come across, and so nice. I can’t think of a nicer place to get work done. If only every business was like this!

Dr. Bill Smith and Dr. Lani Donnelly are the best! I highly recommend them. They make going to the dentist an enjoyable experience!

bad bad bad… do not keep their word regarding re-​doing their dental mistakes — not proactive with preventative help

This is the most friendly, welcoming Dentist office I’ve ever been to, and my cleanings are the best I’ve had! I used to go to 450 Sutter, but got tired of the pretension and pressure to sell crap to me, I was referred to Cow Hollow Dental and have been very, very happy with my dentist and all the other staff as well. Highly recommend them!

I love Dr. Smith and his staff. They are comforting, efficient and knowledgable. I used to hate getting my teeth extracted and their office has changed my mind. I had my wisdom tooth pulled so fast I literally didn’t feel a thing. I never felt so relieved.

I’ve been going to Dr Smith since childhood, and he’s taken the best care of me. Now Dr Lani Donnelly is equally superb and makes going to the dentist an enjoyable experience. The whole staff is helpful and making appointments is easy. I highly recommend this practice. They are fantastic!

My experience with Dr. Smith’s daughter, who is also a dentist, was not pleasant. I was a cooperative and friendly patient and I felt I was reacted to as if I was argumentative. While a patient there in years past, I had received a discount because I had no dental insurance. I felt Dr. Smith’s daughter say in a demeaning way, «Why should you be getting a discount.» I felt hurt by my dentist acting this way.
I found several of his receptionists to be very unprofessional. While I was sitting having my teeth worked on with Dr. William Smith, they stood around making comments to me making me out to be unfriendly over and over. Dr. Smith did nothing to reign in his staff. Apparently, this type of behavior is allowed in his office. I have no intention of going there again.

best experience I have ever had in a dentist chair. I have been treated by Dr. Bill Smith and Dr. Lani Donnelly. Both of them had me out of the seat fast with quality work that has not caused me any residual pain or return visits. I especially appreciated their willingness to work with me when I didn’t have benefits. Anyone who has been in this position knows how painful it can be physically… and financially. They do the little things that make the visit a good experience, whether it is digital x-​rays, good music, or a gift bag with a quality tooth brush and other good stuff. Dr. Lani will be my dentist for a long time.

Before coming here I dreaded dental work. But since I found dr Smith I am kind of looking forward to the visits, no kidding. He knows his job, he is fast and efficient. He is also human and remembers all kind of stuff I tell him before I get my mouth wide open. Definitely recommend!

He will bring the pain. Will get the job done, but not in a gental way. I still wake up screaming at night.

I hate going to the Denist, but does anyone ever really enjoy it???
I love the Cow Hollow Dental Center, Dr. Smith, Dr. Donnellly and the staff because they make me feel at home. I had an awful crown dne to my front tooth when I was 13 because I was in a bicycle accient. Dr, Smith replaced it 15 years later and I swear he’s an artist. I mean the crwn looks good – so good no one believes it’s a crown. I love my smile and I can thank everyone there for helping me keep it the way it should be.

My advice to anyone considering this man as their dentist is to RUN as fast and to someone else up the street. This man is unprofessional in a sly way-​injecting you with great pain, and will ruin your teeth with root canals, crowns and do even more when you don’t need them. He has no business being in practice. He does harm. He nicks your root hand how would you know he had done this, cuts down the chewing surfaces of teeth, in short damages perfectly good teeth. I have no idea of how many innocent trusting patients he has harmed with his unsuspecting charm, but I do know human nature. If it is done to one (me) it has been done to many others as well. Do not be fooled by him.

Dr. Smith was probably trying to save that girl money, time and pain that was complaining, filling instead of doing a full blown root canal. The same thing kinda happened to me, but the tooth stopped bothering me own its own. I still go and really like him.

I like Dr. Smith a LOT. He is very calming, cool, and sensitive to the needs of «overly sensitive» patients.
While I don’t look forward to my dental appointments, Dr. Smith and his staff help make the visit as easy as possible.
Parking sucks — but I’ve started getting my car serviced or oil change @ SF Honda 2 blocks away during my dental appointments… so I get «free» parking.

I have been going to Dr. Smith for 19 years. My teeth are fabulous, thank you very much. He has really worked hard on my husbands teeth. What a challenge. My kids adore Dr. Smith, and have no cavities. He’s like family to us, and his staff. I can call anytime, and will get fitted in no matter what. Even though we live 50 miles away, he was the one doctor, we just couldn’t bear to switch.

went last year to get a filling done. after the procedure the tooth would not stop hurting so I went back to get it checked out and was told that the pain was due to the filling not being smoothed out correctly creating an incorrect bite. Dr. Williams «fixed» the problem but the tooth continued to hurt so i had to return just to be told the same thing and to have it «fixed» one more time, but the pain continued and i had to come back once again. this is absolutely ridiculous, i have never seen a doctor struggle with a simple filling. after my 3^rd!!! visit the tooth was still hurting and the bite was STILL INCORRECT. i have never gone back there and got it fixed someplace else. this doctor is a joke!!!

I like that Dr. Smith has a «James Brown: the Hardest Working Man in Show Business» poster at the foot of one of the chairs. I like that he’s no bullshit. I like that the receptionist always remembers my name. I like that I can always get appointments when I want them. I like the new dentist that just started working there. And I like that one day when I was kind of hungover Dr. Smith gave me oxygen for 20 minutes before he started working on my filling and it made me feel soooo much better.

Fast and efficient, although never rushed. The first time I went he spotted a small cavity and offered to fill it RIGHT THEN. No taking off more work and rescheduling things.

I just had my 1^st visit with Dr. Smith after he was recommended by a friend. First of all it started out great because he takes appointments beginning at 7:00am! I went it for a basic consultation and cleaning. Dr. Smith was very thorough, friendly, and honest. He never tried to up sell me on frivolous products and services, but did effectively answer all of my questions. A nice experience and reasonable prices.

I never would have expected to be writing rave reviews about a dentist, but OH MY GOSH Dr. Smith is the best dentist I have EVER been to. I have been on the quest for a dentist since I moved up to the Bay Area, and finally, I found one! Dr. Smith not only is a super cool guy, but personally cleaned my teeth this morning. The whole visit took about an hour– that was for a cleaning, x-​rays and a filling. They are super nice, really fast and so incredibly thorough. They take most insurance, and make the whole experience actually quite pleasant. You’ll be impressed with the size of the place– and don’t mind the cow collection… it’s hard to miss!

He is always available for all of my dental emergencies. I always get excellent cleanings and cavities are not so painful.
